Stanford Carpets did a fantastic job installing carpet and kitchen flooring at our new office. Al and his team were great. We had a very tight timeline, but Al was accommodating, helpful, and resourceful — he gave us options for great carpet and kitchen flooring that could be delivered on time. His quote was very reasonable. His team was professional, on time, and on budget. A+. Highly recommended.

After a misunderstanding with our order, Al quickly and capably fixed the issue. He also went beyond what we expected and fixed a carpet stain although it was our fault. I went here based on Unilocal reviews and I was very glad I did. Al gave great service. He knows his stuff. We were operating under a tight deadline and he worked with us to make it happen. (We did not have good experience at a local Big Box.) Al came to our place to measure the carpet himself. And one thing I really love is that he has his own crew to install carpet; I just feel there is more accountability that way. The crew professional and did a really good job. We will use this place when we carpet the rest of our house. Thanks!

First experience there today. I am a designer and have some clients who are very eco-​concious and have very defined needs for products to be green and chemical free. We did some extensive research on showrooms that have a wide variety of green carpets and Stanford Carpets happen to have 3 mfgs that were super super green, not just sort of green. Score!
So, we went there today. My first impression was that the showroom was small, but after being there for only a few minutes I realized they had tons of great stuff, not just the awesome eco-​friendly products. I wound up taking photos of some beautiful things for my other clients while I was there.
Al was awesome! So friendly, so helpful. He was there with us the entire time but not pushy at all, just perfect. We made a decision on a carpet in 20 minutes — a record!
Great experience. I will definitely be taking my other clients there in the future — even if they have to drive from Los Gatos to get there.

Another five star review for Stanford Carpets. And now I understand why. Al and Roneet provided excellent customer service in the showroom, and the total price was very reasonable, a lot less than my other quote.
But best of all were the three workmen who spent two days at my house measuring and carpeting almost every room and closet. They arrived on time, worked really hard, were careful moving my furniture and removing all the doors. They cleaned everything up each day and hauled away all the old carpet. All my furniture was replaced just where it had been. I could not be more satisfied.

A jewel. My go-​to place for carpet. Great selection, good prices, and they WORK WITH YOU, unlike the two big-​box stores (we know who you are, HD and L’s). The big-​box stores have more rules than can be imagined. Sometimes I just need a room done, and don’t want the bargain of a «whole house installation price» for just one room! And maybe I want to reuse the padding (spare the landfill). Big box no no. Al just simply does carpets the old-​fashioned way — works with you to understand your needs and delivers.

My favorite carpet store in Palo Alto! Love the plush microfiber — I just want to sink my toes into it. Roneet provides excellent and efficient customer service. She’s a gem! Amazing selection, quality, and service for a wonderful price.

I had a very bad experience with another company several years ago and was looking for a new place.
Saw the reviews here and decided to give Stanford Carpets a try. WOW… was not disappointed. What a great business.
Roneet helped me pick out just what I needed. She knows her inventory and listened to my concerns as well as being sensitive to my budget.
Al is super. Very caring man and he obviously respects his customers. He and Roneet give excellent customer service.
His workmen were on time, professional and pleasant to work with. I had a partially damaged floor and the guys just went ahead and fixed it in addition to laying the carpet. Totally impressed.
Cleaned up after beautifully. I have nothing but praise for this company. When I need flooring again, this is where I will go, no question.

Wonderful service! Al came and measured our place for new carpet and immediately gave us a quote that was very reasonable. He was wonderful to work with and even gave suggestions on carpet color, etc. based on previous projects he had worked on. We got other quotes on carpet from Home Depot, etc. for nylon carpet but we were able to get wool carpet from Stanford Carpets for a similar price! I love the wool and get so many comments from people telling me it is the softest carpet they’ve ever felt!
It’s hard to find places that still emphasize great customer service and this is one of those places! Thanks Al!

I highly recommend Stanford Carpets. They are very customer focused and responsive.
I needed to replace my Kährs hardwood flooring in two rooms due to water damage from a broken pipe and I was eager to get it done quickly.
I called Stanford Carpets after seeing that they are listed as a Kährs Premier Partner on the flooring manufacturer’s website. Al, the owner, came to my home the next morning, quickly measured and immediately provided a very reasonable quote. He ordered my new floors the same day I accepted the quote and they were installed soon after their arrival. The installer did a great job and I am very happy with how it turned out.
If I need new floors again (which I hope I don’t) I will call Stanford carpets first.

After the horrific job that Empire Carpets did on my godmother’s last carpet project, I decided to take the lead and make sure that her newest carpeting need didn’t go the same way. I actually found Stanford Carpet on Unilocal and I liked what I read so I went to their showroom to see if they had what I needed. They had an amazing selection for such a tiny showroom and Al was able to find what I wanted in less than five minutes. He was wonderful throughout the project and I was crossing my fingers yesterday when the installers came that it would go as well as the other customers had reported.
I could not be more pleased. Sam and his apprentice Jesus were amazing!!! They paid so much attention to detail and were extremely patient with my godmother who was very concerned about every detail from her antique furniture to her closet doors.
I cannot praise them enough. Great customer service, very reasonable prices and fantastic finished work.

Al is as good as it gets. He has a positive demeanor and is very helpful. He has helped me on a few of my rentals and I am pleased with the service.

We got treated extremely well here. Al was patient and helpful while we chose a color. Then made a price based on just exactly what he had told us before we chose. The installation was first rate — carpet looks excellent. Installers did a great job moving furniture.
The best part — totally honest. He made a mistake measuring and undercharged us by about $ 1,000. He offered to totally make it good, but I split the difference with him. We had noticed that the color of the delivered carpet didn’t really match the sample perfectly (though we actually liked it better than what we had chosen). Without our even knowing it, Al negotiated a substantial settlement from the manufacturer, letting us know just before I got a letter from them asking me to approve the settlement. This is the kind of business behavior I remember (rightly or wrongly) from my childhood. I THOROUGHLY recommend Stanford Carpet.

I really had a near perfect experience with Stanford Carpets. They were first recommended to me by my building owner who uses they exclusively for all work he does, in the building. I first visited their shop. It was clean with a good selection. Best thing was Al the owner who was extremely kind, helpful and flexible. Second experience was the installation. Although the installers looked a bit young, they did a fantastic job and even tried to clean up all dust around the house and even did some extra work without additional charge (including helping me move some big objects around the house). When I made final payment they were generous in calculations. I just don’t have any negative comment at all. Highly recommend Al and Stanford Carpets.

Needed a 9′ x 9′ piece of carpet. Abbey Carpet didn’t have any good remnants; ordering a new piece that size was going to run me $ 800+ even for their cheapest lines. But! Stanford Carpets had a nice big remnant that Al sold me, with binding, for $ 150. Yay! He was totally professional and accommodating and I love my new carpet.

We found Al to be very helpful, honest and knowledgeable about
his carpets. We had a budget and had no problem getting great quality at a good price. We had received an estimate (including measurements in our house) from California Carpet and they over measured by 9 yards! $ 400 more we would have spent!
His installers were fast and professional. I’d go there again without hesitation.

Can’t say enough great things about Al. I was looking for a large remnant for my bedroom. He had an amazing selection (good quality, textures, colors) He showed me all the rolls and gave me such a good price that I ended up getting a matching runner for the hallway and a couple other remnants for my living room and dining area.
I’ve spent months trying to find some simple area rugs (wool, interesting texture and colors but still somewhat neutral), All seemed either too expensive or poorly made (looked at other Carpet stores, Crate and Barrel, Target etc,. nothing)
I am so glad I went here! Another benefit was that I could have all of the rugs cut to fit perfectly. The cost (including padding, stitching around parameter and delivery) was so reasonable.
The delivery guys were right on time and set up everything just how I wanted. Once they left, Al was quick to follow up and make sure I was happy. I honestly wish everyone paid as much attention to customer service as Al.
