I started attending classes here in June of 2011. It’s a great community-​based Taiji school that’s been around for 40 years and has developed an effective teaching methodology. There is no one main instructor — all of the instructors have come up through the school and are skilled, friendly, and helpful (as are the other students, for that matter).
The curriculum focuses on the traditional Yang-​Style Slow Form with an emphasis on correct body mechanics and form applications. Once students have learned the Slow Form, they can progress by learning more advanced forms (e.g. Jian Form, Dao Form, Fast Form, etc).
Definitely worth checking out.

Fantastic class with detail oriented teachers. It is hard to believe but every time I go I actually break a sweat. I went to this class after having shopped around and checked many others and I have a background in other martial arts from when I was younger. This class definitely supersedes all local classes I have seen!

Small classes, hands on instruction, very clear and explicit explanations, i.e. NOT just following the leader for an hour, which was my experience with another Palo Alto tai chi group. Ages range from 20-​something to elderly — you make it as demanding as you choose, and learn at your own pace.
Seems to be good training for climbing, dance, or any activity that requires balance and precise body control — perhaps even for a more overtly «martial» martial art.
Exceeded my expectations by far. This is not (only) your grandmother’s tai chi.
