Specialties
The Children’s School of Art and Science is a small new school in Palo Alto serving students K-5, with unique practices to support the love of learning. Students practice mindfulness, engage in regular performance, and study topics through cross-disciplinary themes. Teachers form personal relationships with each child in small classes. It is a very happy and challenging place for children!
History
Established in 2011.
The Children’s School of Art and Science opened as The Children’s School in Mountain View in September 2011 with two teachers. In 2012 our enrollment grew quickly, and we expanded to a new facility in Palo Alto with two classes, K-2 and 3 – 5, and additional staff. The name of the school was changed to reflect a distinctive approach to teaching and learning.
In 2014, the school formed a board of directors, incorporated separately from its fiscal sponsor and received federal tax exempt status as an educational organization.
