Welcome to theCoderSchool, a year-round after-school program located in Palo Alto that teaches kids to code! Founded by the owner of School of Rock Palo Alto, theCoderSchool will use a similar premise of combining collaboration and immersion with direct instruction to get your kids rockin’ their inner hacker in no time!

Hansel L.
Business Owner
Hansel has worked at various high tech companies ranging from Nuance Communications (the people behind Siri) and Accenture (the people behind 100 hour work weeks), and graduated from WashU in St. Louis with a Comp Sci degree. He’s fluent in Cantonese, can fake it with Mandarin, and is an avid runner, having finished ultra-running’s premier event, the Western States 100 miler. He is also the ex-GM and current owner of School of Rock Palo Alto, growing the school to over 100 kids in less than a year. Hansel currently lives in Palo Alto with his über-supportive wife Lisa and three awesome kids, who go to Ohlone Elementary.
