Description

Specialties

The Process is an effective, intensive 9-week therapeutic program for adults. Through addressing your childhood in a safe and nurturing environment, in a unique directed therapeutic trajectory, you will gain personal and emotional growth, freedom from negativity, and a spiritual grounding from understanding and loving your higher self. Become the person you were meant to be.

Our program addresses: communication, relationships, anger, depression, fears, career, parenting, dissatisfaction, and emotional and physical health. It is an excellent and appropriate follow-on for 12-step graduates, or anyone who wants to develop balance and meaning in their life and their relationships.

History

Established in 1984.

The work of the Institute for Personal Change evolved from the Fisher Hoffman Process in the 1960s. We incorporated as a non-profit (501c3) in 1984. Since that time we have offered one or more nine-week sessions of The Process every year, as well as a number of one-day workshops, all conducted by licensed therapists. We serve the entire Bay Area.

Meet the Manager

Elaine B.

Manager

Elaine took the Process in 1974 as a single parent. In 1976 and 1981, she considered training as a Process Therapist, but wisely recognized that was not her «Right Livelihood.» In 1989, she joined the Board of Directors, and was President 1990 – 1995. In 2003, Elaine began volunteering as Executive Director of the Institute For Personal Change. She believes that the Process is the most important therapeutic work that she has ever done, and is extremely grateful to be able to share The Process with others.
