Inside of a month of landing in Silicon Valley, Mario Rosati had his team ushering and wrangling me. This firm is incredible. Super helpful in making my founder results they are today!

If I could give a NEGATIVE 5 stars I would for this law firm. We went with WSGR due to it’s reputation in Silicon Valley. We were looking for a law firm to help us incorporate our new startup. They were definitely the most expensive and we thought we’d get our money’s worth, but this was the worst mistake ever. We were assigned what amounted to new grads (aka Associates) that worked on our paperwork. To not waste readers’ time, we incorporated in Delaware and they were supposed to also do paperwork for California (where the business is located) and failed completely on that task. This resulted in mismatched incorporation date. To make things worse, WSGR attempted to CHARGE US MORE to fix their own screw up. Their level of support was mediocre for what we paid also.
I STRONGLY discourage anyone from using their services.
Note: The review left by Pablo sure smells of paid reviews. The staff is far from informative and responsive and who the heck comments on how beautiful the office is? Is that the best aspect for review for this law firm?

Incredible place, incredible staff, and just an overall great experience.
To be fair: Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati represents one of my start-​ups.
My start-​up is being advised by them and all I can say is that the overall experience has been, for lack of a better word, fantastic. The staff is informative and responsive. The firm is huge but you do not feel like you get lost in the shuffle. Their area of expertise is so vast, that they can pull resources from any of their offices — so finding information becomes lightening quick. I truly feel like they are on my side and looking out for our interest.
As a bonus, this office is beautiful. Definitely, do not mind going their for long meetings.
If you are a start-​up and have the chance to have Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati represent you, the overall return you will get from all their wisdom can never be repaid.

Sometimes you get what you pay for, sometimes you just pay a lot. Unfortunately Wilson Sonsini falls into the second category. There are many other law firms in the valley that are cheaper and waste less of your time than Wilson. They aren’t hard to find either. Don’t let the pretty campus fool you, their unfortunate clients pay top dollar for it to look that good.

I find it odd that the only review for WSGR is for their café, and clearly written by their own attorneys… sheesh.
WSGR is one of the oldest — and largest — legal firms in the Bay Area, and has quite the reputation among Sand HIllers and ‘landed gentry’ on the Peninsula. My family has used WSGR for years for estate planning and the like, and one of their senior attorneys handled the establishment of a small trust fund set up for my children by their grandparents. I was astounded by how supercilious the attorney’s documents were– I’ve negotiated many contracts in my day, and have extensive experience with attorneys, and these were over the top. The document was absolutely unreadable it was so poorly crafted in legalese — I had him rewrite several passages to make the intent clear. And this was an attorney who has been in practice for decades.
More recently, another more junior attorney has handled the settling of my father’s estate. He did not return my phone calls or emails (despite the fact that I am a named heir) even when I escalated to a more senior partner. He just blew me off. Very nice. Five months later when I called again, he returned my voicemail in a hostile and abrupt fashion, promising yet more paperwork to be delivered last week. Needless to say, nothing has arrived.
My father’s estate was very simple. and certainly has not warranted this length of time to settle. It is clear to me that the firm is only interested in billings, not in handling this in a timely fashion. Net-​net — there are MANY excellent attorneys on the Peninsula, who are more efficient, kind, and far less expensive who can handle your legal needs. Why would anyone use a firm like this? They are the reason lawyers have a bad name. Use someone else.
