Specialties
Our law firm prides itself in offering exceptional service in the areas of probate, guardianships, estate planning, medicaid planning and other related areas which are today referred to as Elder Law.
The first step in getting good advice is calling for a consultation. Our firm charges the nominal fee of $ 100 for an hour meeting to discuss Elder Law matters. In the event that you choose to hire our firm to prepare estate planning documents, then the consultation fee will be credited against our fee.
Our fee for services is quoted to you at the consultation before any further work is undertaken on your behalf. Estate planning costs will range from $ 250 to $ 3,000 (for complicated estates). We are fair with our fees and make recommendations based on what is best for you and your family based upon your assets, family particulars and your goals/objectives. We listen to you and offer you our best advice!

History
Established in 1989.
Our law firm started out as a partnership with my friend, Carol Ploog. We attended class together at The John Marshall Law School and decided to open our practice knowing that we both enjoyed people and believed that we could provide practical legal advice to clients in a down-to-earth and understandable manner. During our years together, Carol and I practiced in numerous areas of law, including: divorce, personal injury, bankruptcy, litigation, probate, adoption, estate planning, real estate as well as miscellaneous other areas. Carol retired from the practice of general law in 2000 and continued to help children and families as a court-appointed guardian ad litem.
After Carol left the firm, I began the process of concentrating in the areas of law that I enjoyed — namely, helping people through a maze of laws that face families pertaining to decisions as to medical care and legal care in a more «user friendly» manner. Today, this area is commonly called Elder Law.
