I am so lucky to have found Dr. Simon! Because of change of insurance, I was forced to try a dental group in Torrance. The dentist was completely unethical and diagnosed me as having periodontal disease + 2 cavities. They wanted to put me on a payment contract for thousands of dollars worth of treatment. Guess what. None of that was true. Dr. Simon is ETHICAL, PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY and has INTEGRITY. I feel totally at ease and confident in his abilities. Recently my silver filling had some decay after 30+ years and to fix it was painless, quick and fairly priced. I actually pay out of pocket rather than use the insurance I have. Listen, your teeth have to last a life-​time unless you want dentures. I plan on living long and having a full set, in great condition, until the day I die. Go with Dr. Simon, you will not be sorry. Also Danielle his front desk manager is so nice! The whole staff is friendly and extremely competent.

I have dental anxiety and in total fear of dentists. I had some pretty bad experiences as a child and has had an everlasting impression on me. After going to Dr. Simon’s office, right after the first visit, I was shocked on how easy he made this experience for me. The staff was super friendly and Dr. Simon was thorough and very experienced. I was highly impressed by the entire operation. Well, my illness is not 100% cured but since I have now found my new favorite dentist, It can only get better. So happy to have found you. Wonderful dentist and staff. I decided to go to Dr. Simon based on the great Unilocal reviews. I was not disappointed! The office receptionist, Danielle was really sweet. She called my insurance to find out for me if I was covered and what portion I would have to pay out of pocket and explained it all to me. Cathy, the hygienist did a fantastic job cleaning my teeth. And Dr. Simon took his time explaining to me everything before he did it and showed me photos and X-​rays so I was fully aware of what he was doing. Not only that, he called me later that evening to ask if I was doing ok and if I had any pain. I think I found my dentist for life! (Ok at least for a very long time ;)

Look no further! Honestly, Dr Simon is the best. I have been seeing him now for about 2 years. I think he’s a great dentist. He is kind and caring as well. He has called me at 7 pm after some procedures to see how I’m feeling. I have never had any pain after any of my procedures. Once, on a Saturday, I called him because a crown came off. He was up in mammoth for the weekend, but offered to come back down to PV that day to fix it. I told him Monday was fine. Who does that?
His receptionist Danielle is the sweetest! She is always happy and pleasant when she calls to remind me of my appointments, and always has a smile when I walk into the office. His dental hygienist is also great. I have nothing but great things to say about this office!

Dr. Simon has changed the reputation of dentistry with my appointment being an experience rather than a dry dental obligatory visit for my teeth. He is the most thorough, professional yet friendly dentist that really cares about his patients! He goes the extra mile in his exams and you come out of your appointment with valuable education and trust that you are in the best of care. His office staff is awesome, so much so, that you actually want to come back! Thanks Dr. Simon!

I have been going to Dr. Michael Simon for several years now. I can’t tell you how friendly and accommodating he and his staff are! I continue to refer my friends and colleagues to him. And I have begun doing my Invisalign braces with him. I cannot tell you how fun and friendly his office is. And his receptionist Danielle is a joy, always warm, happy, and very funny (she makes me laugh) I will be a patient of his forever!!! Great team, Great dentist!!!

Dr Simon and his staff provide such great care. I’ve been a patient for over 10 years and appreciate his skill and kind manner. Everyone is cheerful and upbeat and understand «nervous nellies «like me. I’ve referred family and friends and everyone is glad I did.

I would highly recommend Dr. Simon. His work is outstanding, and his staff is amazing. Danielle, the office manager, was a great help to me with my insurance. She went out of her way to assist me with knowing what my financial responsibilities would be with all the dental work I needed done. Lilly, the chair side assistant, was so caring and gentle. They all go out of the way to make an unpleasant task as comfortable as possible! I can’t imagine going to anyone else.

I have been with Dr. Steven Tassone for many years but he was not an in network provider for my insurance plan so I went to Dr. Simon. I was very pleased with him but had nothing but problems with his assistant, Danielle. She was rude, confrontational, and disrespectful.
After two or three appointments with Dr. Simon they dropped my insurance. I am returning to my regular dentist Dr. Tassone who is «not» a provider so I will be paying much more out of pocket in addition to my monthly insurance premium as he is not an in network provider.
Dr. Simon also charged for the set of xrays he took when I requested a copy which I found to be extremely unfair considering all the time I had invested in finding him, establishing a relationship and dealing with Daniele prior to having them dump my insurance. I would not recommend this dental practice due to their business practices and especially the office assistant’s attitude.

Dr. Simon and his team always provide EXCELLENT service! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Simon is very thorough in explaining procedures and answering any questions you have making you feel at ease! I would highly recommend this dental office!

I am in my 80’s and have had lots of dentists over the years. Dr. Simon and office staff are the best. Very knowledgable and tells you what is happening as he is working on you. He has the latest equipment. Try him– you will like him and the whole staff.
First class dentistry in a nice small town.

I have never really liked going to the dentist, and had put off my last cleaning for more than two years. I initially picked Dr. Simon because he was so close to my office but I am so glad I did! His staff was quite professional, and made me feel comfortable from the moment I got there! His assistant, Jennifer, was so kind and gentle as she took my x-​rays. I’m sure that isn’t a big deal for most people, but I have a narrow bite that makes it painful. Between her, and the literal hummingbird show that was going on outside the window (they have several feeders), I barely noticed it. What impressed me the most was the Dr. Simon himself did the initial cleaning. He explained that he likes to do the first one, as it gives him a better chance to get to know his patients. That was great, as he really is super nice, but it was also the most thorough cleaning I think I’ve ever gotten! I definitely will not be waiting so long between cleanings!

Dr. Simon and his staff are beyond exceptional! My whole family trusts Dr. Simon and his staff with all of our general dental needs and have been loyal patients of his for years. He never disappoints. A lot of dentists might try to push you into an expensive procedure because it’s a business and they just want to get that bottom line as high as they can. Dr. Simon will not do that to you, he always does what is best for the patient, even if it won’t make him as much money. He knows that, but patient health is his clear priority, as it should be. When I’m in the chair, I feel comfortable and he and his staff always make me feel welcome. Years ago before Dr. Simon was my family’s primary dentist, my father had a cracked tooth and the dentist he was seeing said he couldn’t fix it and there was nothing to be done. My father accepted that in distain but was eventually referred to Dr. Simon, who might be able to help. My father walked in and the very same day the cracked tooth (of years) was fixed and pain free by Dr. Simon. This just goes to show how skilled Dr. Simon is at his trade. I’m currently a college student studying biology on the road to dentistry and he welcomes me to shadow him whenever I’d like. I have spent hours observing him and his staff. Dr. Simon explains everything he does, doing his best to give me a fantastic introduction to the dental profession. He absolutely goes above and beyond in this regard, and every other regard I can think of. If you need a dentist or just aren’t satisfied with your current dentist, Dr. Simon will provide you world class care and service.

I recently went in for my first visit with Dr. Simon knowing that I had 4 cavities that needed to be taken care (another local dentist had informed me of this during an exam). I decided to give Dr. Simon a try based upon a referral. As it turns out, I only had 2 cavities. TWO, not FOUR! This, in itself, proved to me that I could trust him. He wasn’t after my money, just wanted to provide the best care. He and his staff made me feel comfortable and at ease from the time I entered their doors, through the treatment and leaving.
So happy to have found a dentist I can trust!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Simon for about 2 years and have been very satisfied. The things I look for when I go to see my dentist is a staff that creates a friendly and calm atmosphere and a doctor that I can trust with my teeth. Malaga Cove excels at both of these. The staff is always happy and Dr. Simon is great at putting me at ease regardless of the treatment I’m there for. He is also very thorough and takes the time to discuss my treatment with me; what he’s doing, why it’s necessary and what is expected of me to keep my teeth in great shape. I always leave feeling great about my teeth. Thanks Dr. Simon and staff for such a great job every time! PS: I recently completed my home teeth whitening that I got from Dr. Simon and it worked great; my teeth are definitely whiter and I didn’t feel I was jeopardizing the integrity of my teeth and gums. Another win!

I’ve been seeing DR. Simon ever since he started at Malaga cove dental arts. I don’t think of him as my dentist, I think of him as my friend. He likes the same activities I do and we always have something to talk about. He and his staff are very friendly and run a smooth operation. I used to hate going to the dentist but, Dr. Simon makes it pain free and actually enjoyable. I’m with Marisa R on this one, I am no longer afraid to pick up the phone when the dentist is calling. Dr Simon is the best dentist ever! The dentist office is the last place I would like to be! But Dr. Simon and his staff made me feel right at home. The whole process went smoothly and I am no longer afraid when the caller ID shows my dentist. I even answer the phone haha

Believe it or not, I have been going to this dentist’s office my entire life.
Granted, Dr. Simon has only been here since 2005 but prior to then, I was adopted by the dentist who had taken over for the late Sandy Rosen who was my family’s longtime dentist and friend until he passed suddently at much too young of an age.
The office itself is as comforting to me as Mom’s tuna casserole or BBQ ribs (you wouldn’t think of a dentist’s office as being comforting, now would you!). It’s been one of the few constants in an ever-​changing life. The beautiful Spanish office building in the Malaga Cove Plaza is the same, the walk up the stairs is the same (there is an elevator too), the small and cozy sitting area is mostly the same (after a few minor remodels over the years), still complete with Highlights Magazines like the very ones I read as a kid. The equipment has certainly been upgraded over the years and Dr. Simon has the most cutting edge gear I’ve seen complete with instant digital xrays that pop up on a computer screen next to your comfortable recliner.
Dr. Simon’s staff have always been friendly and helpful, including the front office staff who always worked with my insurance so I wouldn’t have to be bothered. The hygienists are always friendly, thorough and painless.
Since ’05, Dr. Simon has now seen me through various cleanings and a few fillings (darn sweet tooth), always has a smile on his face, a good joke to tell and a gentle, skilled hand that, even when drilling, inflicts no pain at all. And I’m a big wimp.
It’s great to still have a wonderful family dentist like Dr. Simon close to home in a very comfortable and familiar environment. I never once thought to change dentists through the years and I’m glad to recommend Dr. Simon to everyone I know, including my wife and 3-​year old daughter, who are also happy patients.

A must go to dentist if you hate going to dentist …
