Where have you been all my life? it is 5 minutes from our house and right next to our church! How could I have missed it??? We went after church today and they were SUPER. There were 10 or 12 in our group and they already had two large groups seated. Our server was Cynthia and she handled us so nicely. It took no time to get our drinks and food. I got the small order of fried catfish with pinto beans and coleslaw. All of it was SO good. The pinto beans were just the best! My husband got breakfast and he said it was really good, too. Some of the other meals folks with us ordered were a patty melt, grilled catfish. grilled chicken, and huevos rancheros… everything looked delicious, and everyone ate every bite. They had some really nice looking pie, but I was just too full this time. It was at our pastor’s suggestion that we went there. Now we have a great place in our own neighborhood to go to!

Came here for dinner… husband got the chicken fried steak & I got a hamburger. Both meals were delicious and incredibly reasonably priced. Service was friendly and attentive. Their menu was very extensive! We were impressed!

I have loved this place since it was Captain Billy Whizbangs! I LOVE it even more now! Not only can you get a fantastic hamburger, the menu options are HUGE, man! I have my favorites but the whole menu is scrumptious! You can have lunch or dinner for breakfast or breakfast for lunch or dinner because the serve breakfast all day long! Get there before 11am to get early bird pricing! Their prices are very reasonable already! I like to create my own plates off their menu and they are fine with that. The customer service, yes, I said customer service, is OUTSTANDING! The whole staff is always eager to make your experience the best possible! These folk’s have been here awhile and I know why! The food is always served hot and fresh without long wait times… even when they are full! This place is like“Cheers«of diner’s! There is no telling who you will run into and the staff always treats you like family! Do yourself a favor and take the family, friend’s and relatives to JR’S, relax and enjoy! You will not be disappointed!

We love this place. We go at least twice a month. Their breakfasts are the best. The food is great and the prices are very reasonable. Huevos A La Mexicana is my favorite.

Probably the best burger and fries in Arlington. French fries are great as well. Good service. Highly recommend.

I would like to give them a better rating as they are local, the service is good, etc. but the food basically tasted like it had been sitting around for awhile. I got the chicken fried steak, mashed potatos and fried okra with cream gravy, all three were bland and tasted like something you would find on a budget buffet. My wife had a patty melt(I tasted, better than what I got) and my daughter got a burger(dry, overcooked). Second daughter had chicken strips with mac n cheese. If you know what re-heated kraft mac n cheese looks like then you know what she got — and a HUGE portion of it too. Pretty sure it was leftovers. This is my second trip here, was not impressed the first time either.

We have been looking for a good diner in central Arlington and this may just be that place. Went here with my family and the food was good. Looking forward to going here again for a quick dinner. Staff is friendly and they have a coupon that comes with Valpak in the mail.

Finally got around to trying this place out after it changed names for the second time. Used to be Old Town Hamburgers, and before that Captain Billy Whizbang’s. The interior was nicer and cleaner than I expected. We were greeted by a very friendly host, who seated us at a booth(again unexpected), and gave us our menus. We had a coupon for BOGO burgers, so we just went with the basic Original Burger and fries. Burger was fine, nothing special about it, but well cooked and well seasoned. The veggies were nice and fresh and abundant, which I really appreciate. Bun was buttered and cooked on the flat top, as well. Nice burger for six bucks. Good fries, too. Not frozen potatoes, fresh cut and cooked the right way, and not drowning in salt. We really enjoyed these. Ate every last bit off of our plates. The staff checked on us numerous times, was very courteous, and seemed to geniunely appreciate our business. This alone is going to bring us back. Excellent service. I would recommend this place if you don’t want to spend twice as much at Chop House down the street, and don’t want to deal with their wonky layout and crowds.
