History
Established in 2008.
I have four children ages 2 years old, 6 years old, 8 years old & 11 years old. I had natural births in a hospital with my three older children, and a home birth with my youngest. My birthing experiences have led me to pursue a profession supporting & serving women: as a DONA-trained birth doula, as a postpartum doula, as a PBi Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, as an aspiring midwife & midwifery student. I am passionate about women, their ability & right to birth as they desire, and supporting them in their births and during the postpartum period.

Family is my priority and I enjoy spending time with my children, including helping in their classrooms, being a Daisy Girl Scout Leader, being Team Mom for their sports teams, etc. Although we lead a busy life, we try to leave time to enjoy life’s simple pleasures, with many weekends at our house being filled with the kids’ friends & sleepovers. My husband is currently a stay-at-home-dad, which enables me to be on-call with short notice. I am a student, majoring in Multi-Cultural & Gender Studies with an emphasis in Women’s Studies & ethics, and a minor in Child Development (I graduate in Spring 2012)! I am also enrolled in midwifery studies at Ancient Art Midwifery Institute. I look forward to continuing to support & empower women (and families) in their childbirth choices & experiences, as well as during the postpartum period.
