Rabbit Rescue

I bonded my (now BFFs) rabbits here and board them here when I’m gone for a week or more. Overall, I LOVE this place.
I had adopted another rabbit from a family I knew who could no longer keep her. It was a nightmare trying to bond them myself, as they were each constantly fighting to be alpha and fur was literally flying. I brought them here for boarding/​bonding service, and they have been inseparable since. I don’t know how they did it – there was some major bunny whispering done.
Secondly, I board my rabbits here. I feel the prices are very reasonable ($ 26/​day for 2 rabbits) and they love it here with their oat hay, fresh veggies, and many, many toys. I trust that the people who check up on them are rabbit savvy and know what to do in the event of a health issue, which is a major concern of any rabbit owner when they’re gone.
However, since this place is a rescue and not a full-​fledged business, the downside is being able to set up times for pick up/​drop off, since I have to coordinate when the volunteers are available, which is rather limited. Also, most recently, I came back to pick up beautifully groomed rabbits with trimmed nails, but there was one time where they looked messy and hadn’t been touched by humans in days. So there is variety sometimes in what to expect.
I wholly support this place though. Just wish it were closer to my place!

I have a bonded pair and I recently found a rabbit in the park. After much deliberation, I decided to keep him. I tried to bond him with my original two and it did NOT WORK AT ALL! My new one would attack my two and I just did not have the time to spend all day bonding them myself. Rabbit rescue was recommended to me by a friend and I could not be happier. Natalie is amazing. She bonded my trio in 2 weeks and kept me updated the entire time. The rescue seems very legit. they have very nice set ups for the buns and even with how many rabbits and babies there were, it did not smell as bad as other rescues I’ve been to. No doubt that everyone here really cares about the well being of bunnies. I also talked to Cathy when trying to set up the rabbit bonding and she responded almost immediately and was super friendly. Highly recommend rabbit rescue!

Had an amazing morning visiting Rabbit Rescue last Saturday. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms were very clean and the bunnies looked to be well fed. Each cage had fresh produce and clean new toys to play with. The volunteers I met were also really nice and accommodating. Upon arrival, I was able to visit all of the bunnies up for adoption in their outside play area. I wish I could adopt another!
This also is a wonderful place to board your bunny when you are away on a trip, as I know first hand. For the bunnies being boarded (not for adoption) they have separate play time if requested or they can remain in their pins. It’s really your choice when it comes to your bunny and their needs. The staff will take care of your bunny’s needs as requested including giving medicine or medical attention if needed while you are away. I would truly refer this place to others. I just wish they were located closer to my home.

Wasn’t a fan of this place. Took my bunny to have her nails clipped; free but the wait was horrendous. Got a terrible vibe from the staff; looking down on me because I didn’t know how to properly care for her. My first rabbit, education (rather than judgement) would have been appreciated.

Got some Carefresh from here recently!
The Carefresh is dollar or two cheaper than Bunny Bunch Boutique in Montclair/​Fountain Valley.
This place is much closer to where I live, so that’s a plus.
It’s a great place to pick up items for your bunny is my take on it.
Adopt a bunny if you can, they are the best pets to have that most people are not aware of.

Today I volunteered here for the second time & it is so much fun! I highly recommend this place if you are animal loving and in need of a great volunteering experience. I clean the animal’s cages, pack hay, look after the rabbits, feed the rabbits, etc. Kathy is (I think) always at Rabbit Rescue and she is always so kind and patient:) You can board your pets so thats also a bonus. The cages are very clean and they are fed very well (pellets/​hay/​fresh leafy greens/​etc.). It is located next to SAM’S ROOFING but you got to look very carefully for it. Good Luck!

I recently adopted from here, and had a bunny bonded to a senior of mine.
The bunny I fell in love with was on display at a local Petco, and happened to be there during my routine goodie run.
The facility is pretty neat compared to others.
There’s a really nice fenced in grassy area for all the outdoor exploring (complete with x-​pens for separation for various reasons).
The bunny rooms are roomy for a bunny or guinea pig.
The store is stocked with enough goods for your kids, at a relatively inexpensive price, which is great.
Plus, the food they have is better than the junk food some pet stores have.
The volunteers are really kind, especially the ones I encountered and texted while my fuzzkin was away (and my newly adopted one was being bonded to him).
The bonder is a bit rough, and wasn’t too personable.
When I texted to check in (as a parent does), she seemed kind of cold.
My senior has malocclusion, he’s a breed that genetically can face that problem unfortunately.
I was told this rescue pulls the incisors when they get bunnies like him
*He is seven+ years old. I’ve had him for five+ years.
He sees a vet routinely for incisor trims, and has never had an issue with this (he has had a molar procedure done in my care already).
I left my senior bunny with recently trimmed nails and incisors, for a week, with his snack (rice pops).
In his old age, he is very picky about what veggies or hay he likes.
He does however eat his rice pops, which is great, because they keep his incisors down (He usually goes for trims every 3 – 4 months).
I let the bonder know that it is important that he get these for his teeth, there was a brand new bag, and enough for the new kid too (should it be an issue).
He didn’t get any in the end, and his teeth were already ridiculous when I got him home. =/​
*Both the rescue he came from, and his vet expressed how horrible it is to remove the incisors (they go almost all the way to their eyes). His vet performs the procedure, but was strongly against it in his case.
Long story short on that, would I board my senior bun with special needs here again? No.
Also, the bunny I adopted from them was displaying strange head tilt and head swaying behavior when I brought him home.
I asked the bonder if it was normal for him, she said «yes.»
I took the bunny to my vet, and was told he has brain damage likely due to exposure to toxic chemicals.
I was not told this prior to adoption.
This is irreversible, and I have another special needs bunny on my hands now.
I’m kind of iffy on this situation, but the majority of things make this place good.

This an excellent rabbit boarding center! I highly recommend it. They offer AC, music and private kennels for your bunny!

This place is pretty awesome. The volunteers here are super helpful and enthusiastic about what they do. My gf and my niece both adopted bunnies within two weeks of each other and they needed advice and a nail clipping (they did it for free) for their new bunny’s. We found out about this place when we saw a flier at a petco in long beach. It’s a small shop that’s easy to miss– they share a lot with a concrete business.
They have everything you need for your rabbit and they volunteers are very knowledgable. Definitely worth checking out!

Rabbit Rescue Inc is THE PLACE to (1) adopt your rabbit (s), (2) get a quality boarding service, and (3) get bonding services.
ADOPTION– I adopted one of my bunnies in Rabbit Rescue Inc. in Dec 2013 and it was easy to see how much love and care he had received during his stay there. Until this day, their head volunteers have no problem recognizing him when we bring him to the store. The adoption fee is reasonable (and cheaper than another larger rabbit shelter I know of) and all buns are neutered or spayed at the time when they’re adoptable. Not just that, the buns are in good, healthy condition too, speaking from personal experience.
BOARDING– The boarding space for the bunnies is CLEAN and SPACIOUS, compared to another larger rabbit shelter I just mentioned. You should see it yourself when it comes to picking a right place to board your bunnies. The pricing is reasonable (14 USD per day per rabbit, dated in April 2014) given the quality of the boarding space and the care bunnies received. Grooming service is included when you do boarding here. Surprisingly, some places charge additional fees for grooming in addition to the boarding service. Well, we learned it in the hard way…
BONDING SERVICE– I adopted another bunny in another larger rabbit shelter, which provides bonding information for people to do bonding in their own homes. Unfortunately that shelter failed to inform me how dangerous and life-​threatening it can be to my bunnies. Due to the lack of proper information about bonding, I had to take them to the vets spending hundreds of dollars for the numerous kicking and nipping wounds. Soon after I realize this could not be done by myself or that particular shelter, I turned to Rabbit Rescue Inc to seek professional help in bonding service.
Lesson learned: DO NOT DO BONDING YOURSELF AND FIND THE RIGHT PERSON TO DO IT!
Nathalie, in Rabbit Rescue Inc, did a wonderful job and literarily SAVE both our bunnies’ AND our lives. She spent quality time examine our bunnies’ interactions when she first met them. I was impressed by that fact that Nathalie was able to intervene my buns’ fights without injuring anyone, including herself! We had our deeply-​in-​loved bunnies back after 7 days, and we spent another month watching them licking and kissing each other to truly believe THIS IS REAL. (We were definitely traumatized by the previous bad experiences) No more fights or injuries or hundreds of dollar bills! What’s even better is that if you adopt both your bunnies in Rabbit Rescue Inc, they will do the bonding for you FOR FREE! Based on this, I have no doubts that people in Rabbit Rescue Inc truly care for the bunnies they have rescued. It’s not just about sending the bunnies away and clearing up another space to rescue another bunny. It’s about making sure the bunnies will be in good hands and will live happily in their new homes.
Last but not least, I also think Rabbit Rescue Inc is a great place to volunteer or have your children to volunteer. I have seen many teenagers and their parents doing volunteering work in Rabbit Rescue Inc. I think it is a wonderful family activity as they learn more about love and respect to small animals, they also spend good time with their family members learning more about one another.

I am a cancer patient who had to be hospitalized with very short notice. I came upon Rabbit Rescue in Paramount, CA and arranged to have my pet bunny boarded there, although their main priority is a rescue operation. They are a nonprofit, volunteer-​operated, NO-​KILL shelter. I have no car & wasn’t able to get my pet from Los Feliz all the way out to Paramount. Without my asking, Ruthie – the manager, offered to drive to my home to pick-​up «Lucy», my rabbit. Ruthie refused to accept any gas money for the trip. I have NEVER witnessed such a dedicated & compassionate person as Ruthie. She is one of those rare, super-​wonderful individuals. Ruthie’s kindness & devotion is reflective in the high– caliber care Rabbit Rescue offers. I have no question whatsoever in my mind that Rabbit Rescue in Paramount is one of the most excellent shelters/​boarding facilities in operation in Los Angeles County. I thank God they exist.

People who really care about bunnies :)
My boyfriend & I found our pet rabbit in the street. After a while we decided he needed a friend, so we did our research and came here. First of all, always adopt! If you can! So many homeless pets out there :(these people always have circulating air, hay, playtime, everything the bunnies need. It seems like the place is mostly run by volunteers. Natalie, who I believe runs the place, was very helpful in helping us pick out a friend for our rabbit. We actually had to go back a couple weeks after adoption because our rabbits wouldn’t stop fighting. (And if you aren’t familiar with rabbit fights, they can get really violent) Natalie took them for the week free of charge to re-​bond our bunnies. That was probably about a year ago now! We do go back every once in a while because they sell stuff for cheap. And the money is going to a good cause! Our rabbits love the hay they sell here (oat wheat & barley) as opposed to just regular Timothy hay at pet stores.

I stumbled upon this place while looking for a babysitter (for my bunny of course) & I’m glad I found this place ! I recently started volunteering here late December 2013, I can do my community service hours here & learn more about bunnies! First of all, everyone who’s here is a VOLUNTEER, I think that’s really amazing, all the volunteers here are so sweet & very knowledgeable about bunnies! At first glance your a bit hesitant about the place since the size of the building and considering the fact it shares a lot with a roofing company, but it’s really spacious inside, maybe a bit tight for people but enough room for all the bunnies there ! And I’m pretty sure once you start talking to one of the volunteer (s) there you’ll realize how much they care about these bunnies ! They have boarding for buns, free nail clippings, bonding program, & adoption fee is $ 75(all bunnies here are neutered/​spayed)

I boarded my bunny and I was very happy when I picked him up :) everyone was so nice and I just really love this place and will come back.

This place is awesome!!! Came here with my bunny that i had found to see if it was male or female, and they sexed her for me, also offered free nail trimming, all for no charge. The staff /​volunteers are friendly and informative. So I finally decided to adopt another bunny for my Jessica Rabbit, and found the one for her (Mr. Fluffy). The staff is so concerned about the well being and adoption for there rabbits that they do the bonding process for you. Also super low prices on Oxbow rabbit food, hay, and bunny stuff!
Great price for adoptions as well $ 75! Considering that they are Spayed/​Neutered and potty trained, Most Vets charge $ 75+ to get your rabbit fixed. My aunt had a rabbit that died from cancer because she was not Spayed. Some people should NOT have pets if they can not afford to provide proper Housing/​Care for there animals. There is a BIG difference between Surviving and Thriving !!!

I had a great experience adopting from Rabbit Rescue and would recommend them to anyone looking for a rabbit. The rabbit yard in front gives you a chance to interact with the rabbits and get to know their personalities. The workers there are very caring and compassionate about helping you find the right bunny.

When I found my bunny Thumper, I always knew that I wanted to find her a husbun so that she wouldn’t be lonely while I was at work. Rabbit Rescue was the only place I had seen online near me that offered bunny matchmaking services. The site was very clean and organized, and I was delighted to see a nice grassy play area for the rabbits with plenty of toys and hidey places. Natalie was very knowledgeable about rabbits and helped us match her up with Arlie — a gentle bunny who was able to put our girl at ease. After seeing her with them, I had no problems leaving Thumper in her care for the week of bonding. We picked them up as well as new supplies and healthier pellets, hay, and vitamins. This organization is very professionally run. The volunteers are dedicated and helpful. They are very knowledgeable about rabbits. They go to great lengths to make happy, rewarding matches between people and bunnies.
