Sparklean Laundry

This place is clean and very well kept! I hate carrying coins so I’m all for their card system! It’s very sanitary and eliminates the annoying part where you carry 10 dollars worth of quarters in your pocket.
They have a lot choices of machines as well! From a huge washer all the way to the small ones. Very affordable too!
Even though I live in Los Angeles I take my dirty clothes here since my gf lived a couple of blocks away from here.
Now what is keeping me from giving this a 5 star is the rude cleaner that kicked us out in a rude way because he was closing. geez it felt like if we didn’t move any faster he was gonna pick up our clothes and throw them on the parking lot.
Besides that, I still like this place. I highly recommend it!

New owners took over about 4 – 5 months ago and, boy, has this fine establishment lost its luster!
Wash and dry costs have gone up and the quality of service substantially down. Read on.
A rare sighting in the past but now a common trend: machines out of service. Back in the day there would be 1 washer and maybe a dryer waiting less than 2 – 3 days for repair but now you see many signs covering the machine’s card reader slots.
Floors used to be mopped regularly throughout the day. Now they look dirty and some spots even sticky.
Not sure if the wifi is still open to patrons. Most of the prize machines are now just for candy. The raffle is gone too. Computer terminal was removed a long time ago.
Lastly, if you have children, be careful with them playing near the yellow lasso that is tied to the pillars on the right end of the building (outside of the door closest to the water vending machine). This is a serious choking hazard for youngsters! New owners are negligent to remove this hazard.

My washer stopped working late on a Sunday and left all my clothes wet. I search my Unilocal and it send me here. I had no idea that laundry mats now needed cards? What?
The Laundry mat was very clean and very busy. I thought it would take long to find empty washer but is surprisingly wasn’t. They whole thing took about 90 minutes which didn’t feel too bad.

First time here! I loved this place. Attendant is super nice! The place is clean has AC, sodas, water, coffee! Found a new laundry spot.

My dryer at home broke and I came in with a bad attitude and expecting to have to explain to the attendant why I was only drying. So to my surprise I was greeted with a smile I mentioned it was my first time and he helped me get started even when I told him I was only drying. I will definitely refer people I know in this area! And return to wash myself until my dryer is fixed.

The attendant that was on site didn’t speak English. Therefore I couldn’t communicate with him about the machines when I first got there. So I had to leave and go somewhere else. What kind of business have employees that can’t communicate. Makes no sense. I really wanted to give them no stars but Unilocal didn’t let me.

This is by far the best laundry mat in Paramount, recently I left a full dryer of my children’s jeans and they were there for 4 days and thanks to the honest attendant onsite she bagged them up and held them for me and for that I’m appreciative, I will forever be a customer, excellent service…

They must have changed owners.
There used to be an employee on site helping or cleaning keeping the place nice and clean. Walked in laundry carts all over the place even in the middle of parking lot, dryer sheets all over the floor, trash cans over filled. No employee on site for second week in a row.
Time ro see if previous owners went anywhere close by.

I’ve been washing my clothes here for over 3 years and i loved it! it’s always clean, the employees are really nice and so were the owners, they were very attentive. What I liked most was that my clothes would dry with just $ 0.25 per dryer. But now that there is new owners things changed… it’s still clean and the employees are still very nice. BUT i think they lowered the heat on the dryers? because now i spend $ 1 per dryer so my clothes can be completely dried! and once my clothes came out soaked and i told them something and he said its my fault because i put in too much clothes! and NO! i always put the same amount i did since i started coming here!!! i will never come here again!!!

This place is horrible if you don’t mid bums at the entrance and then a man telling me I cant dry my clothes with my own money. My dryer gave out at 10pm and though IM going to go here since they are open only to be turned down !! Thanks ok Ill go somewhere else and make sure I tell everyone not to come to this dump!

I just moved to the area and looked around for places I could do my laundry. This was the first laundromat that I tried out and I was pleasantly surprised! All the machines looked very new and clean. They were very large and could hold lots of clothes in one load. The prices are very fair and the staff was very friendly. They also have free wifi and many tables people can sit at. It’s a nice place to come and do some work while I wait for my laundry to be done.
They also have many drink/​snack machines and I was surprised to find Korean and Mexican snacks amongst the «regular» vending machine snacks.
Overall, I had a great experience at this laundromat and will definitely be a repeat customer.

My dryer stopped working so I needed a place to dry my family’s clothes. I just got out of work and it was late. The only laundromat that was open was this place. So I decided to go with my sister. I got there, and this place looks nice and clean. We went inside and headed to the dryers. A man came out and said «dry no permit» and keep repeating it over and over. I attempted to explain that my dryer stopped working and this is the only place open this time and that I would pay the amount to wash too if he would like. But all he keep saying was «dry no permit» while I was trying to explain my situation. So I told him thank you anyways and left. I understand that this is a laundromat and you’re «suppose» to wash and dry but what I don’t understand is why I can’t just simply dry if thats all I needed to do. I mean I am still paying. Thats like someone going to Starbucks and only wanting a pastry and the barista saying nope its coffee and pastry only. Overall it looks like a nice place, but I am disappointed that he didn’t even let me explain the situation.

This is my third visit and all I can say is that it’s awesome! I mean who likes waking up early just to come do laundry… but coming here makes it easy! They have tvs, free wifi, it’s clean, and the people working here are so polite! They even have machines to entertain your children as one washes. All I can say is that it’s great!

Havent been here in a while since I was lazy and just using the one that my complex provides. But im glad to be back. The cleanest place ive ever seen. No annoying little kids running around. I love that the children nonsense is not tolerated here. The reload able card is also great. No more fooling around with loads of quarters. The attendant who is here has always been super friendly. Back when I would come very late he would make sure I got back to my car safe. Bonus for us ladies! !!! If I could give 6 stars I would. The owners here have got it right. I dont mind paying a bit more for outstanding service and quality. Customer for life or at least until I get mu very own washer and dryer. But even then id be back for the bigger stuff.

This is a good place. Definitely a safe place to go at night. I like the magnetic cards, the abundance of carts. The only thing that I don’t like is the light on some of the washers are wrong. Tells you it’s done, but you open it and its still running. But I don’t think that’s enough to lose a star.

I have been going to this laundry mat since I moved to N LB 1 year ago. Decided to be wild and try another coin less laundry mat just down the street. Does not compare in the least to Sparklean. WOW! At Sparklean all the washers are CLEAN, there is an employee walking around constantly cleaning or assisting, there are plenty of carts and you can take all of them outside. If employees see u have a lot of stuff they will help u load and unload ur car. Bathroom is clean. There is a wash sink so u can rinse ur hands if u spill or need to rinse something. They have step stools available for adding detergent/​bleach/​softener to large machines. Sounds silly… but their vending machines are well stocked. Kinda nice when ur just waiting for laundry to wash/​dry. And yes, they do have free Wi-​Fi. Since it is coin less u need a card and they give u the card for free unlike some other places that actually charge u for the piece of plastic. And after so many times or so much money spent using the same card they actually credit u a few bucks. Doesn’t sound like much but an extra $ 3 on my laundry cars is better than nothing for my loyalty. Not until I experienced the mediocrity of a nearby competitor did I realize what a GEM Sparklean truly is.
