AFC Doctors Express Urgent Care

Worst experience with Dr. Saros. I cannot believe that she told me to google my symptoms for a possible virus — I should have left there with a complete understanding of the virus, symptoms, how long it would last, and everything else. I felt like she was very condescending. She did not want to listen to what I had to say or explain anything. Dr. Saros just kept telling me to research possible symptoms online — what was the point of seeing a doctor.
This was the first time I ever saw Dr. Saros and it will definetly be the last time — I will only come back to this location on the days that Dr. B is on staff.

UPDATE: I called and spoke with Rachel, who had seen my Unilocal review. She volunteered that the weekend staff did not communicate well with me, and re-​iterated that they do function primarily as a walk-​in clinic. She offered to have us return to get our immunizations; we aimed for a time when they were less likely to have many walk-​ins (Fri at 5.) We did get our shots within an hour and I was charged only for the shots and not for the visit (which I had paid for the first time.) These staff (different people than those we saw on our first visit) were careful to tell us what they were doing at every step. If you use this clinic for travel immunizations, try to schedule at a time when their traffic tends to be low, and allow yourself extra time in case they are busy.

NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN! I don’t care how sick i am or hurt i am. Sooo i left work early because i have a really bad lower back pain. I don’t know if its a badly pulled muscle or a herniated disc (last march i had a herniated disc in my lower back and neck). Sooo i made a dr appt but its for tues morning. I figured Urgent Care would help a bit. I expected maybe a stronger dose of medicine or heating pad and a dr note for today, saturday and monday.
I should of read the reviews first but thats my bad! I arrived to the place at 5pm. There were 4 people in front of me and i waited approx 57 mins. when i left the room looked full. At least 10 people but we’ll get to that later. So much for «Urgent» care. I saw a woman and a man that were opening the door calling people’s names and letting the people out. Right away i knew something was off. How? They didn’t look people friendly. No hello and no smile. They looked miserable working there so immediately i had a bad vibe but whatever im in pain. Finally my name was called and i went into the room. The lady took my blood pressure and asked me like 6 questions or so. Then they took me to a little kids room. I kid you not! I waited 30 more mins! I had enough. My back was hurting and i just felt really uncomfortable. So i opened the door and asked the fake ass nurse what’s taking so long? She goes the dr is with a patient now. Its gonna be a little while. I said do you know how much longer? She goes. A while longer. I said no. Im leaving.
So as i opened the door i saw a bunch of people waiting. I said «Don’t even waste your time people! You wait an hour in a half and the doctor can’t even see you». *drops mic*

2 years ago, they incorrectly diagnosed me with MRSA. I almost had a heart attack. I was living in fear for over a week, before I was properly diagnosed with a simple cuticle infection by another doctor. Never again will I go here, or even recommend it!

called ahead to see if they take my insurance and they told me they did, after an xray that couldnt be seen and a doctor that was incompetent. I had to go the ER for my son. then of course I got a bill because they dont take my insurance, I paid in installments. they didnt put the last one in and immediately sent me to collections. it was there mistake. There billing company they hired is a disaster and they dont know anything about what the company is. its one big fiasco over there. dont go!

Nothing about this place is urgent or express.
When we arrived, there was one person in the waiting room so we (stupidly) assumed it wouldn’t take forever to get an x-​Ray. Nearly two hours later and we left with a splint that I could have made in my garage.
I didn’t give one star because they gave the X-​rays on a cd. Other than that — horrendous. Would never come back — probably would have been quicker to just go to the ER.

Do not come here. Not only are they extremely inefficient, but they are also not reliable at all. I waited for two and a half hours just to do a drug test. I sat around with the same people waiting for our names to be called. The receptionist switched halfway through and the new one didn’t know what she was doing. She kept calling people and asking colleagues questions regarding procedures.
When they finally called my name, I took the test in less than 5 minutes. The person said results would be sent directly to the screening company. Doctors Express then proceeded to lose the sample and never thought to notify me that this happened. I did not know until my employer contacted me saying they had never received my results. And now my start date has been pushed back due to inefficiency, unreliability, lack of accountability for actions, and no communication thanks to Doctors Express.

Not recommended unless you have too much time to spare. Just to get a couple vaccines for travel, I was there 3 hours total. 15 minutes to do vitals and get shots. 2 hours and 45 minutes for waiting. The clinic wasn’t that busy either. The front desk lady is very friendly and knows what she’s doing, but other parts aren’t organized, doctors/​nurses aren’t knowledgeable at all. You better off somewhere else.

Doctors express was quick, especially for not having to make an appointment. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I’ll be using them as my primary going forward.

Visited this clinic two times in past. Both the time there was a long wait (around 60 mins). The receptionist are helpful.
Dr. Borkowski is good but yesterday when we went for the second time, Dr Saros took care of me. She was very kind enough to provide me a letter for not been able to come to work. The clinic is very clean and has a pharmacy next door.
The only con is the long wait time.

Both my parents and I have used Doctors’ Express and all had very good experiences and results. Their service is quick and efficient and their doctors were competent and personable.

I called ahead to let the office know the reason for my visit. I needed to get a few pieces of stitches out that seemed to have been missed when I previously had my stitches. After waiting there about an hour, I was called in to see the doctor. The nurse or attendant came in and reviewed my concerns and then went to get the doctor.
Although she did not return with the doctor. The «doctor» refused to see me. She did not even want to look at what my issue was. I was sent away with no treatment and a wasted hour.
Mayeb this place is good if you have the sniffles and need a quick prescription.

The owners of this practice are family centered genuine people that have the patient’s best interest at heart.

I’ve had nothing but positive experiences at Doctor’s Express Urgent Care. This review is regarding my most recent and 2^nd experience.
I came to the office because I had seriously jammed my right middle finger in a shower door, which resulted in significant swelling in my finger. After trying to treat my finger on my own through ice and pain killers, I realized that I needed to get my finger nail drained to expedite the healing process and to relieve the uncomfortable pressure in my finger.
I came in the late evening and I did not have a long wait. After about 15 minutes, I was seen by a nurse who did the basics and gave me an x-​ray before I was seen by Dr. Borkowski. After taking a quick look at my finger and reviewing the x-​rays, he quickly put a little hole in my nail to relieve the pressure.
All in all, I had a pleasant experience.

Very caring and professional. I came in with a swollen and bruised nose. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the doctor was wonderful. They did X-​rays with ease, and gave me the results quickly. I have been to several urgent care facilities in the past, and this one was by far the best! I will definitely return to this facility!

I admittedly rarely write reviews, but the experience I had at this place definitely needs to be shared.
This place has absolutely no respect for people’s time. I was there for a routine drug screening that was requested by my new company.
I called ahead to determine the best time to come because it’s a first come first serve basis, and was told anytime that morning should be a quick in and out process, or 30 min at most should there be a sudden spike in people. I sat there for over 90 minutes waiting, while everyone at this place was clearly sitting around doing nothing. They contradicted their own check in process by taking people ahead of me, who actually arrived after me. At some point i wondered if I was getting «punked» because every receptionist kept telling me it would take 5 more min, each of the 5 times I inquired about the delay. This is clearly a poorly run location and has no time management, so if you are a professional on any kind of schedule stay away from this place!

I had a fantastic experience here when I had a bad upper respiratory infection. Everyone treated me like I was family… from staff to doctor. The waiting room was welcoming and the patient rooms were clean. I got a very thorough exam which was refreshing for an urgent care. They didnt rush through and just write me prescriptions without really figuring out what I had. Highly recommend!

This is my second visit to this location. My first visit was quick, generally professional, and as friendly as a 24 hour clinic can be. They got me checked out and out the door quick.
This second visit hasn’t been as good. I got scheduled after 4 other people that were walk-​ins after me since they «missed» my form. When your business model is generally first-​in-​first-​out, that’s a problem, and one of the reasons I’m deducting stars. It turned a 15 minute wait into 45.
The second reason I took off stars is that when I brought the issue up to make sure I got scheduled, I was given «Just wait» instead of «Sorry, your wait shouldn’t bee too much longer.» That’s a generalization of the conversation, but the intent is the same.
Otherwise, it gets the job done.

This place is unbelievable. I DO NOT recommend coming here as the staff are both deceitful and wildly unhelpful. Please read my appeal below and rest assured that this is not the place you want to come with a medical issue:
On 12÷27÷12, I went to see Dr. Borkowski at DRX Paramus when I came down with the flu. At the same time, I asked him to examine a fairly large mass that had formed on my neck. He advised me to put a warm compress on it for a few weeks. If I didn’t notice a decrease in size, I was told to come in to have it removed.
A couple of days before returning to his office on 03÷26÷13, I called to make an appointment for the surgery with the receptionist. I explained that I was coming in to have the mass removed from my neck. I asked if the surgery would be performed there and whether or not it would be a same-​day procedure. SHE CONFIRMED THAT THE SURGERY WOULD BE PERFORMED THERE IN THE OFFICE AND THAT I WOULD BE IN AND OUT IN THE SAME DAY!
When I arrived at the office, Dr. Borkowski informed me that no surgeries are performed at DRX Paramus. Instead, I was given a list of general surgeons in my area and a $ 45 bill several weeks later.
I very politely tried to resolve the issue with their billing office and they said, because of THEIR error, that they would reduce my bill, but not waive it. Clearly, they knew they were in the wrong. I would have never gone to the office had I not been misled into thinking that the surgery would be performed there. I would have gotten my own list of general surgeons from my insurance company. I was lied to. They led me there under false pretenses and are claiming $ 150 ($ 45 from me) for services that were not rendered. I walked in for a surgery, but walked out with a piece of paper. They lied in order to get me to come in so that they could charge me and my insurance for an office visit.
Total crooks. I honestly can’t believe they sent my bill into collections. I have no time or patience to dispute $ 45. Normally, I would give them the money and get it over with, but this is an insane way to treat your patients. I will not be taken advantage of. Next step, Better Business Bureau and Help Me, Howard.
