Bought three rings from here. They helped me for over a year and a half. I guess I’ll be back in 5 years after I get even larger diamond for my wife. Right after 5 years is when you buy a new diamond. I have had many issues with this place I won’t lie. I have them a horrible review in the past. But they almost did make it better mad my wife is happy.

I had a horrible experience here. My fiancé and I went to an ehancer ring for our wedding. Before they could take her engagement ring to put the enhancer around, they wanted to put a value on it. They appraised it for a third of the price which I actually purchased the ring for. Perhaps I paid a little bit too much for the stone, but their appraisal was ridiculous. They asked me in front of my fiancé how much I paid for the engagement ring. Someone in the jewelry business should know that the price of a gift should not be disclosed to the recipient.. Total morons!

I’ve been a customer of Jared for close to 10 years; they use to be very reliable; fairly priced and pleasant to deal with. Well all of these areas have been steadily declining over the past few years.
My most recent visit was the incident that drove me to write this review and disassociate myself with ever doing business here again.
Last year (2013) for Christmas I purchased myself a very nice Bulova watch for approximately $ 600.00. I have about a dozen watches; which I rotate on a regular basis, so no one watch gets much wear during the year. The nicer watches, get even less wear.
Fast forward around this past Christmas (2014); I noticed the crown and stem was missing from the watch. I contacted Jared, informed them I was out of town and what the issue was. They informed me to come in with the watch when I get back in town; the watch is under warranty.
I went to Jared; they looked at the watch and reviews my file and informed me now; that the warranty expired 3 days ago. I explained what happened, the call, etc… They basically said to bad; but they would take a look at the watch and get back to me with an estimate.
I was thinking maybe two or three days for an estimate; but it actually took almost 3 weeks and there estimate $ 440.00+ for the repair. Needless to say I advised them not to do the repair and I would come in and pick the watch up.
When I arrived at the store; I was immediately greeted as normal, but as soon as I told the saleswoman I was there to pick up a repair, she lost interest and pointed me towards the repair desk.
I stood there for 15 minutes, before being acknowledged. It took another 10 minutes to figure out what they need to do to return my watch to me.
When I asked for the manager to discuss my displeasure with the experience; between his lack of caring and the saleswoman poor attitude was insulting. There only response was «that why you should have purchased the extended warranty».
Fast forward; today I picked up my watch from a local family owned jewelry store. The $ 440.00+ repair that Jared quoted me cost me $ 20.00! Yes; that’s correct $ 20.00!
So as you can imagine, I won’t be going back anytime. I’m just upset I have to give them a one star.
Lesson learned; support your local small business and don’t support chain businesses.

I went to purchase a ring for my mom on her birthday. I went an hr before they closed and they treated me as if I should be thankful they were selling to me. The older lady also gave me attitude and was very short with me because they were closing at 9 when it was only 820. Service is horrible.

This was quite possibly the worst experience I’ve ever had in any kind of store. It took 4 people to figure out how to refund my money after I returned an item that I purchased online. After 30 minutes, I grabbed a nearby chair and sat down in front of the register as one of the employees called the corporate office for help. After 60 minutes (!), the employees finally seemed to figure out how to process the refund. I triple-​checked my bank account on my iPhone’s bank app and saw the refund was indeed showing and had seemingly processed. About an hour later, the refund had disappeared and put my checking account into a negative balance following a purchase I’d just made at Home Depot. I immediately called Jared and began driving back to the store, and told the woman who answered that they incorrectly processed the refund. The woman I was speaking with acknowledged remembering who I was because I had just been there for over an hour, and she had the audacity to tell me to call corporate because the store was now closed. After I told her I would absolutely not be calling corporate and demanded my refund, she told me she’d call me back in 5 minutes. She did, and told me they could not re-​open the store (even though it was only 20 minutes after closing) to process the refund because of security reasons. At this point, I lost it. After making me wait over an hour, and still screwing up the refund completely, they refused to make an exception and process my refund correctly even though they now had my returned jewelry AND my money! Outrageous! I told the woman (who was apparently the manager), that if they did not let me come in to process my refund correctly, I would call the police. She called my «bluff», and I called the Paramus police department who responded in less than 5 minutes. After explaining my situation to the police officer and how embarrassed I was to call them, he spoke to the manager of the store and they agreed to let me come in and process the refund. They apologized profusely (too little, too late — the aggravation had trumped any sort of apology), and they gave me a «free gift» for my trouble. Jared, your free vase does not erase this awful, awful experience. Stay far away from this place.

They are the most incompetent and rude set of sales people i’ve ever met! They RUINED my wedding day.

I was buying a Mother’s Day gift here and they seem a bit understaffed. I had to wait about 15 minutes before anyone was free to help me out.
The sales woman tried to upsell some items to me, which was a bit annoying. I don’t know much about jewelry, but in the end, I got what I came for.

Been here twice now, both times for repairs only. Staff is friendly.
Once I had to get a new clasp for a chain that I wear with my diamond pendent. Got it done on time & very reasonable price too.
The second time was more recently, my diamond set needed cleaning & a chain extension. I was told that they can’t add an extension on the chain. The quote for all the work for was about $ 400 (without a new chain). They have a fixed rate list that they go by. So I decided to skip it.
On second thought, took it to my guy in Jewelry Exchange across on Rt 4, he took me to his repair guy there & they did everything for less than half the price. So if it’s repairs that you need, don’t come here.

At first when we walked in, no one really jumped to help us so it was a little awkward at first, but I soon forgot about this when I was greeted by two very kind associates who helped me and my boyfriend for over an hour, even dipping into their lunch break to help us! Such excellent service!!! They were so kind, helpful and knowledgeable!!! You could tell that these associates really enjoyed their job and were more than happy to help us! I appreciate great service so much!

I have nothing but positive things to say about our shopping experiences at Jared. My fiancé and I were looking around for wedding rings and weren’t impressed by the near by jewelers. Both visits were pleasant. All staff members were polite and I left the store feeling satisfied with my selection.

Awful! my husband purchased a 1 year anniversary ring for me and after about 8 months the engraving he had put on the inside (that he paid for) rubbed completely off. When we went to bring it in they said they only cover 6 months on the engraving (even though we purchased the full warrenty for the ring they still wouldnt do anything for us)! Terrible jewler work if an engraving comes off in just 8 months!

just went to pick up my wedding band and it wasn’t ready. nobody called to tell us that it was delayed, which is totally fine because mistakes happen, but the salesman was SUCH A JERK about it. extremely condescending and arrogant. then he went on to assume that we hadnt paid for the ring yet and i advised him to look over his info again because we had actually paid for everything in FULL. i had also scheduled to have my engagement ring re-​dipped, but they kept running around the store with it not knowing how to fill out the paperwork? the ring wasnt bought there and they didnt seem very professional. i felt so uncomfortable and nervous, i asked to have it back and left. the original saleswoman was violetta and she was so so nice and helped us pick out the perfect wedding band. im so disappointed our follow-​up visit to jared’s was so terrible.

My ring is nice. When we had to get it resized, a sales associate named Brian was extremely helpful. The service he provided was truly amazing-I’ve never experience anything quite like it. We got the service pack so it did not cost anything extra to get the ring resized. There was a scratch on the ring but they polished it right away.
