ZuZu is my Granddog and was recommended by a friend to go to Betty for a grooming since my daughter, from CT, had a TERRIBLE experience with a groomer who had NO experience clipping an Airedale! Betty made me feel so comfortable, telling me what she will be doing to give ZuZu that fabulous Show Dog look! When I picked her up, I thought she belonged in the Westminster Dog Show! It is 5 years now that my daughter comes from CT for ZuZu’s cuts AND has been boarded there as well ! When I bring her, she pulls me with such excitement to the gate and knows Javier will be taking her inside! And the prices are great ! Thank you, Betty and Javier for making it so easy for us AND ZuZu !!

Have been boarding our two Goldens (aged 10 and 5) at Manorcrest forever! Betty and Javier are terrific and obviously love dogs. They are very accommodating (even at the last minute) and very organized. The dogs leap from the car in to the yard every time, so I know they love going there. Were were «nervous wrecks» the first time we ever left Brody there — called every day (sometimes twice day!) for updates and the owners were very sweet about giving us details of the day, all the while telling us our dog was wonderful :)
It’s not «fancy» or technologically advanced (no 24 video here!) but it is very clean, the dogs are well taken care of and get lots of exercise. Manorcrest does offer baths prior to pick-​up as the dogs do get dirty from all the playtime. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We’ve left our dog here several times anywhere from 6 – 8 days and never had an issue. Never came home with any illness or problem. They’ll get 5 stars when they start taking credit cards ;-)

I had an emergency that I needed to drop my dog off immediately. Manorcrest Kennel is close to where I live and I heard very good things about the place. I called them and they were able to accommodate my dog without an issue. The facility was very clean and the owners were extremely nice. My dog felt at home and was happy to stay.

We used to board our dogs here quite a few years back, but stopped after our dogs kept getting bad cases of diarrhea there. Figured we try them again after 6 or 7 years… same thing with entirely different dogs. I don’t know if its a cleanliness issue or if they are exposing the dogs to something rotten or toxic, but we will not be going here again. Three large dogs with explosive diarrhea. Definitely Not Fun.

I took my dog here for grooming. When I picked her up the groomer warned me not to let my dog in the river because she had a rash. I took my dog to my mom who is a nurse to help me look at her an what we discovered was not a rash but a HUGE cut. She clipped her very deep and tried to cover herself by lying that the dog had a rash. At least if she would have told me I could have made sure the cut was treated, instead she lied to protect herself. You can see around the area she was cut that she was shaved so close she was nearly bald. I understand that sometimes it happens (although I really don’t ever expect it to be as deep as it was– friends and family, all dog owners, were shocked at how deep it was) but at least be honest about it so I can care for the dog. The groomer was very nice to me… but I guess now I know why. Very dissatisfied with the grooming — will NEVER be going there again. Anyway thank God I found it so I could care for the wound no thanks to the groomer!

We used Manorcrest when we were boarding our small dog last year when we moved to the NYC /​NJ area. The rates were fair, and the facilities were clean and well organized. I was a little hesitant to leave Jasper (our dog) there for almost 2 weeks while we looked for an apartment in the area, but he was just fine.
Bascially Manorcrest is a bunch of kennels at a house with a big yard. They let the dogs out several times a day for supervised play. At night they have their own kennels that they get put back into. (which is good — my dog would otherwise play until he passes out haha) They will also feed your dog your food, per your instructions. You can bring their own beds or toys to leave with them as well.
The kennel was totally open to us stopping by to check in on Jasper, which we did a few times during the 2 weeks. Every time we came by he was super relaxed, happy and quite tired from playing all day with other dogs. When it was finally time to leave, Jasper was a bit dirty (from playing with dogs for 2 weeks haha), but was happy. He would even go to the owner/​supervisor when they called, which he only does for people he really likes.
Since then, we’ve used other kennels to board our dog for a few days here and there, as we’re now in queens and it’s a bit of a trek to Jersey… but for big trips we definitely will be using Manorcrest again in the future. He came home totally relaxed and happy (unlike other kennels where he came home a nervous wreck)
