OLK9 specializes in in off-​leash control, in and around severe distractions. The level of dog obedience training you can expect will be an Advanced. We focus on private lessons, dog behavior analysis, and owner education. This multi threaded education creates a stronger bond between owner and dog.

We also offer Nosework training, a military and law enforcement concept that can be trained to household pets. These pets learn how to detect any odor the owner wants us to teach the dog to identify. Even if the odor is hidden in compartments throughout the house or unfamiliar places outside in urban environments.

Any dog regardless of age, breed, size or temperament can enjoy and benefit from this activity. Nose work is great for building confidence in a shy dog, give an active dog an appropriate and challenging outlet for its’ energy and help the reactive dog overcome its environmental sensitivity. Nose work also helps to strengthens the bond between dog and handler and best of all its fun

History

Off-​Leash K9 Training, LLC is a dog training organization based in Northern New Jersey. OLK9 specializes in private lessons, dog behavior analysis, and owner education. This multi threaded education will ultimately create a stronger bond between owner and dog.

We specialize in off-​leash control, in and around severe distractions. The level of dog obedience training you can expect will be an Advanced Obedience Level, with your dog having become well-​versed in the following commands:

*Come on Command

*Heel

*Place

*Sit (Until released into another command)

*Down (Until released into another command)

*Sit at a distance

*Down at a distance

*Car Manners

*House Manners

*Off (Verbal Correction Command)

*Quiet on Command (Stop Barking or whining)

Jacqueline Z.

Business Owner

Jacqueline has been raising and training animals of all kinds since she was a young girl. Her spare time is devoted to rearing her own pets, as well as fostering and training other animals through volunteer work. After over 10 years in a successful sales career, Jacqueline decided to pursue her dream of working with animals full time. She trained for over a year, averaging 60 hours per week researching, applying, and comparing different training methods and philosophies. As a trainer, it is imperative to understand different methodologies in order to optimize your craft, share learnings with other professionals in the field, and keep up with current thinking. Jacqueline’s rescue Chihuahua, Mr. Chico, is a shining example that whether a dog is 5 pounds or 150 pounds, the same philosophy of consistency, fairness, and clear communication can be applied. Jacqueline’s two resident Chihuahua’s are both certified therapy dogs.
