Spent $ 2,800 on a front door from these crooks. Within 5 years it started having issues. The Paramus location is the sales office and West Caldwell location is the repair office. Both are 100% incompetent. Spent the last 3 months trying to arrange for a warranty repair since the door is supposed to be warranted for 10 years. After waiting over a month for a callback, I called and demanded to speak to a manager. The manager called back and apologized and said that I’d receive my parts in a week or so. Another month passed and I did not receive anything. I then visited the Paramus office demanding to speak to the owner/manager. Of course, he wasn’t there. I called Pella customer service and told them what I’ve been going through. They had a manager(Tom) call me. He explained that due to a number of errors on their part, the part was just sitting in their warehouse for the last month. He was not apologetic and made zero attempt at making things right. He claims that I’ll have it within the next few days but I really doubt it. These guys are crooks and don’t care about their customers. Do not buy anything from them.

Walked in with a list of 30 windows with all the sizes ready to go. They made a copy of a list and assured me that they will quote me tommorow. 4 days later no call and no quote. Asked to give me as approximate price for their pro series window they can’t even do that. If you work for pella windows and all you do is price windows all day, maybe somewhere deep in your brain some of the prices stick? But no, he had no idea how much will it coast. And windows is not that great. Look like 80’s.

Total joke of a company. In this day and age it’s hard to understand how they are in business. I had an appointment for 8:30am on a weekday. Obviously I had to rearrange my work calendar and take a half day just to meet them. I then received a voicemail the night before from the sale rep stating nonchalantly that he can’t be there because he won’t be in the area. He states he can do it maybe in a few days. No apology at all. I now lost all confidence in them. In a world of choices why would I ever go with a clown operation. Had they apologized for the mix up and showed some effort to accommodate I would understand. Anderson here I come.

Think twice before buying a Pella door. The warranty on the storm door is not lifetime it is just one year. Worse, the Rube Goldberg door retention system is designed to break away in the slightest breeze, leaving you to pay through the nose for a plastic bit that then takes 10 days to deliver. Yet worse, they don’t service the storm doors. And finding this less than helpful info involves negotiating a hellish automated phone system and inputting a 14 digit ID from the door jamb. They only get a one star rating because no lower is available

Mediocre window that is high priced. Most under trained sales reps in the business. There will be problems! Go to a good lumber yard and buy an Anderson, Kolbe, etc.
