Business Owner
Lou Caimano, BM, BS, MM, Laureate, is the founder, Director and Chairman of the Woodwind Department at The Ridgewood Conservatory. A woodwind specialist, Lou plays and teaches Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Bassoon and Oboe. The composer/arranger of numerous jazz fusion, new age and commercial compositions, including «Manhattan Twilight,”“Dyad» and «Dyad Plays Puccini,» Lou’s performance credits include 14 Broadway shows, Saxophonist Salaire at Grand Theatre de Bordeaux, Musique Municipal, Orchestre de Harmonie, and the Lansing Symphony. He has performed with such well-known acts as The Four Tops, The Temptations, the Mellow Kings, Gary Burton, Urbie Green, Rita Moreno, Clark Terry, Jerry Vale and Nancy Wilson. Appeared in the movies Muppets Take Manhattan and The Juror. Radio performances on the French National Radio Station. Lou founded The Ridgewood Conservatory in 1998 after providing private woodwind instruction to more than 200 student musicians.
