The Worst Customer Service not only by the employee but the Assistant Manager as well!!! DO NOT!!! DO NOT PURCHASE SPANX from the GARDEN STATE PLAZA MALL!!! I had a very special event to attend and decided to go to an actual Spanx Store to purchase shapewear for my evening gown dress as I am Miss New York plus America Ambassador 2016 and nationals was taking place. Although I was not competing I was going to be speaking to a panel of guests mainly NY State senator Kevin Parker regarding Colon Cancer Awareness (I am a Stage IV Colon Cancer survivor). The employee was very sweet and helpful when I was trying on the different Spanx with my dress. I decided to purchase a large in the nude color but because the one in the dressing room was in black, the employee had to go to the back and grab the large in a nude color. I finished getting dressed while she retrieved the Spanx. I went to the register and she rang my product (that was May 11, 2016) I left the store happy as can be. Now is the day of the pageant (May 21, 2016) and I get dressed and put my Spanx on but noticed they felt lose compared to when I tried them on in the store. Upon arrival to the pageant I decided to check my Spanx and realized that she had given me the wrong size (an XL). Luckily I had brought along other shape wear and changed into one. I decided that I still wanted the Spanx but the correct size that I had asked for. I asked my god sister if she could drive me back, oh yeah I live in NYC and I don’t drive and the store is located in New Jersey (there are no Spanx stores in NYC). I got there today (June 13, 2016) and see the sales rep who helped me when I initially purchased the Spanx and waited to speak with her (she was with another customer). As I am waiting a lady asks if she can help (didn’t know she was the assistant manager at that moment) and I said no thanks I am waiting for her pointing to the sales rep. The sales rep finishes up with the previous customer and says, «I remember you, you are pageant girl», and I said yes and she said so how can I help you. I go on to explain that she had sold me the wrong size and I wanted the correct one. She said ok let me see, she looks at the garment and then the receipt and says «because it’s past the 30 days I need to speak to my manager». The Assistant manager comes out and states we are unable to make an exchange because you don’t have tags on the garment (mind you that’s no where on the refund policy) and its past the 30 days. I explained that I don’t live in the state and it wasn’t so simple for me to get there. She walks away with the sales rep and now only the sales rep returns and says I am sorry but we cannot exchange it we can give you a refund but not a full one. I stated that I didn’t care for a refund I simply wanted the correct size that I initially asked for and she said we can’t because it’s missing the tags and its past the 30 days. I asked is there a number I could call and the assistant manager comes out again and says sure, I can give you the customer service number. While the assistant manager is getting the card the sales rep apologizes again and I say don’t worry it’s fine I just don’t think it’s ok that you sold me the wrong size and now you don’t want to exchange it for the correct one or refund my money (mind you I was going to shop for more Spanx that I need for an event this Wed). The assistant manager provided me with a card with the customer service number on it and I call while still at the store. The phone rep explained to me that a return/​exchange is made if the item
sold was not the item purchased or if the merchandise was defective. I asked for him to please tell the assistant manager that because her employee sold the wrong item to me. The assistant manager gets on the phone and then she still says to me that its the store policy and she cannot exchange it because it was after the 30 days and because the item is not defective they cannot exchange or return. At this point I am pist off because I paid $ 98.00 for an item that the Spanx employee got wrong. I again explain that the fault was the employee’s and not mine it was only 2 days after the 30 day limit and I live in NYC and couldn’t make it there sooner. The assistant manager responded by saying I drive from NYC daily (that is besides the point and I certainly hope that of working anyone could make it to their job daily). To make matters worse the sales rep now begins to lie. I walked out of the store at this point but I spoke to another telephone rep who provided me with a reference number and said corporate will handle it. I sincerely hope that Spanx either returns my money or provides me with the correct size. They should also retrain the assistant manager with customer service skills and hire employees who don’t lie and can own up to their mistakes. Sad thing is they just lost out on a good customer because I was ready to make additional purchases today.

Sales associates are very knowledgeable & helpful. I normally make my purchases online BUT after experiencing the wonderful customer service from the ladies here I’ll make my purchases at this Paramus location. Every woman needs at least one pair of Spanx in their wardrobe

Listen people! When you’re trying to slay in a bodycon dress, Spanx is an absolute necessity! I don’t care what your fitness level is, when you gotta keep it tight and smooth, holla at Spanx.
This store is small but a dream. Sales associate was the sweetest and knew her ish (wish I remembered her name, but THANK YOU darling). The dressing room — ‘totes adorbs’. When I walked in the store, all I said was ‘bodycon’, and she immediately knew what my life needed. Gave me all the necessary info on how to wear, care and the such. Best Spanx I have ever owned to date. I tried it on with my dress and just knew I was going to be THAT super fly honey walking into the club later that night.
Now, this came at a price. Small fortune of $ 72. But I mean, when you find a pair that does an abracadabra on your midsection winter lard, you go from ‘damn, that’s expensive’ to ‘PLEASE TAKE MY MONEY!’ real quick!

Now THIS was customer service!
I needed a specific type of undergarment for a specific dress.
I explained to the staff member who was friendly, accommodating and fun what I was trying to achieve and after asking a few specific questions she gave me some suggestions.
I’d never bought any of their products and she explained the best way to wrestle my way into the slip I was purchasing.
I’m sorry I didn’t get her name. I will check back in the next time I’m at the mall so I can write to their corporate office to further compliment her.
The item I purchased certainly wasn’t inexpensive, but it does just what I need it to, just as the sales lady described it would. I can be in it for an extended time frame without ever feeling bound or having it ride up.
It was money well invested in a quality product and the experience in the store was stellar.

Kelly was wonderful & pleasant. I’ve walked in the store a few times before but was never greeted even when I was in there for up to 5 minutes at a time. Kelly was very welcoming, so I finally bought what I’ve always intended to buy. Will def go back if she is working there.

SPANX NOW MAKES OUTER WEAR! I had no idea! I picked out a nice little number the 2^nd day it arrived in the store. The girls who work there are so nice and SHOWERS you with compliments. There are 2 dressing rooms and they are spacious and clean. What’s not to love.

Yes! The underwear gods have sent Spanx to the mall to save us all! My only minor gripe is they don’t carry all online inventory in the store. But if it’s the boutique feel they’re going for, I can understand why, otherwise it’d probably feel less personal and welcoming, which I did appreciate about it.
I finally had a chance to try on some swimsuits, which by the way, are awesome and so obviously made by women, to fit women with real curves. They’re not as compressed as you might assume, the two I bought were extremely comfortable and flattering. I was also thrilled with the service.
The staff will help answer any questions you might have, from sizing, to fit, to comfort. And if there’s an item they’re out of you want, they’ll find it somewhere, whether online or at another store, and ship it to you for FREE.
Being there bright & early on a weekday morning helped, so we were the only ones in the store. I don’t know that you can anticipate the same undivided attention we experienced, but I’ve been there once before on a Saturday & was still impressed with the help I was given. I’m sure you can call ahead and make a fitting appointment too.

After having a baby in addition to skipping countless yoga sessions and daily gym routine, I resort to Spanx for assistance. I had an upcoming family wedding in Toronto. I went straight to the direct source to see which body shaper would go great with my emerald lace BCBG dress. I loved the layout of the Spanx boutique. It looks similar to a French lingerie shop. One of the associates helped me and picked out two shape wears. I end up with the high waist shaper which felt lighter and comfortable in comparison to the slimmer & shine mid thigh body suit. It would had been phenomenal if the mid thigh body suit was made with a weightless material since the shape wear compression was fantastic. It shaped everything from the tummy, rear, mid thigh, muffin top, you name it! I def have to be back for their red hot assets label wear. Tip– don’t bother with the spoil me cotton wear unless you need a light slimming level. I was told by the associate it barely hugs in anything. It’s mainly worn for a smooth look.
