We are a full service fly shop and guide service located in Park City Utah. We have been offering the best in fly fishing year round in our loaction for the last 16 years. We offer local fly fishing trips on our nearby streams the Provo, and the Weber. We also guide trips on the Green below Flaming Gorge dam. We offer Rental gear if you do not want to bring your Waders and Rod. Check out our huge selection of flies and gear. Open 360 days a year we are here to make your next trip to the water more enjoyable!

Our guide Jerry was polite, knowledgeable and fun. He took my daughter and I out to the middle Provo River as 1st timers to fly fish. She caught 2 fish on her 1st outing, under 10 casts. He made her feel comfortable and as the day ran, more confident, he made sure our lines were clean of moss and it was a memorable day for all of us.
We got good pix and fished 3 different holes to learn more technical fishing techniques.
Mother Nature complied and kept the overcast day a comfortable 55 degrees. Great selection of gear. Hardest part of the day was getting the waders on.

Huge kudos and endorsement to guide Hunter Shotwell. He took me and a buddy out on the middle Provo on Friday, 10⁄16. His service was amazing and his knowledge was incredible. I’ve only had 1 prior guide experience and Hunter way exceeded that experience. I would personally recommend Hunter Shotwell to anyone who asks me what guides to use for fishing the Park City area.
Trout Bum is also a great store in Park City with friendly, knowledgeable staff and a great selection of gear and flies (as you’d expect).

These guys are fantastic! One of the best shops I have been to around the country. Great selection of goods as well.

As a moderate fly fisherman I need some help and guidance sometimes. Fly fishing is about getting on the river and enjoying life and if you happen to catch a fish you get hooked, pun intended. I go to Trout Bum 2 to increase my chances of the latter. The people there are very helpful and amiable (one of the few big words I know but an important one.) They also have a great assortment of gear and often ask where I’m planning to go fish so they can help me pick the best fly for the time of day/​year.)

Trout Bum 2 for your guide and shop needs!!! Chad is the man! He elevated my game– improvement in my casting distance and I landed more fish than I ever have in a day! My husband also benefited greatly from the guide experience, and he is now «hooked» on fly-​fishing, Invaluable experience, Cicada hatch was sick!

Great shop to rent gear in. Highly recommend this place. The staff are wonderful people. Upon returning my rental gear, they mentioned that the rental cost could be applied to a store purchase. Seriously, what a deal. Got new Simms boots at an incredible price thanks to the rental credit and service here. Love it, very happy.

We hired Trout Bum2 per online reviews and had the best experience with our very knowledgable fly fishing guide named Ben. The gear was top notch. Ben was a great instructor and was ready with an extra rod if we tangled up. He changed weights and flies and took us to several spots where we caught about 15 fish between the two of us. We were beginners and very open to instruction, which despite your level of expertise I highly recommend you do it his way if you want to catch the motherlode. «Mends your line!»

I’m just itching to go back to Park City for some flyfishing! The guys and gals at this flyshop were great! Good directions for some flyfishing (even though I got skunked). Drove up to Mirror Lake in the Unitas area and caught some small brookies which were fun. TB2 has everything you need to flyfish, from a huge array of flies to rentals. Now I have a purpose in life… return to Utah for some great flyfishing with friends.

Awesome trip! Chris Passage was our guide and he was great… had my Dad and I catching fish in no time. We did a 4 hour tour and pulled out a bunch of fish, 4 over 15 inches. Would definitely go back. Everyone at the shop was great as well. We did the trip where they supplied all the equipment and Chris was constantly making sure we had the right set up. I am a novice fly fisherman and learned a lot of invaluable techniques. Don’t hesitate if you want an enjoyable day on the Provo and learn a lot!
