I must admit that he is the only one I will let tattoo me. He’s fixed someone else’s work and it looks absolutely amazing now. The colors are vibrant, they last long. Give him an idea and he can actually draw what you want. He is truly an artist in every aspect. The place is clean and he is professional. I’m positive that if you got a tattoo from him, you wouldn’t want any one else to ruin what he’s all ready started. Great job and he makes you feel comfortable. I couldn’t be happier with his work.

This is the best tattoo experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve been getting tattooed for about 12 years, affordable and the best quality in any style, no joke! My tattoo style ranges from traditional, to dark & erie, to black & gray, and Steve (the owner) has mastered it all. It takes a while to get in, but worth the wait!

Steve-​O is freakin Awesome!
I stumbled upon Steve-​O about 3 years ago at a tattoo party. Before you get all up in arms like «tattoo parties are bullshit, they’re for people who can’t get a job in a shop», this dude kills. At the party, he did a tulip on my foot in black and gray in like 30 mins. That was three years ago and you can still see the shadow effects and white highlights. I get compliments on it all the time. After that piece, I decided it was time to get my ‘tramp stamp’ covered up. That’s right folks… yours truly fell victim to the butterfly and tribal at the tender age of 18. I went it and gave him my idea and he proceeded to freehand a design right on my back to cover/​incorporate the shittiness that was the tramp stamp. Over the course of 6 sessions running an average of 2 hours a piece, my back is done and it’s gorgeous! I AM SO IN LOVE WITH IT! He set up a really awesome deal with me for price since it was such a big piece. He even discounted it for me on my last two visits.
His ‘shop’ is in an office building in down town park forest and tricky to find if you’re expecting to see a shop. It’s super cool though. He’s got a life size Freddy Krueger and Leatherface in there. And ton’s of other cool horror themed oddities. While your being needled he’ll pop in a movie or throw on some tunes. I’ve seen some awesome movies here. Plus he’s pretty funny, so it kinda takes your mind off the pain. He’s the only artist here, so if you’ve got a late night appointment, he’s got to come unlock the doors for you. If he’s in the middle of a session he doesn’t answer the phone so you’ve gotta wait until he gets to the door. Also, because he flies solo it can take a while to get an appointment. I know, it’s a bit of a pain in the ass. But I promise, for something that’s going to be on you forever, these minor inconveniences are well worth it. It’s a super far drive for most chicagoans but you won’t be disappointed. Steve-​O kicks major ass!
