Millenium Moving

I’ve had the unfortunate displeasure to use this company.
DO NOT USE THEM. THEY ARE DISHONEST!
They added the final tally incorrectly by a few hundred dollars. I figured it out in my head while HE had the calculator. Tried to charge me for 20′ of bubble wrap. Didn’t use any. I complained to the manager/​owner, said he would give me a discount and get back to me. Never happened. They left a hand cart. Guess what he called me about the hand cart and not my discount. Again, I will call you back. Never happened.
My advice: Moving is stressful to begin with. What I’ve done is told the movers: You will get a tip but mess up, you get nothing. Watch everything that goes on and everything that goes off. If the movers are not creating a packing list for you, expect something to stolen. Mark your boxes and keep your own list. TRUST NO ONE!

LOVED THEM. Super cheap, super fast, super strong, on time, friendly.
I had heard so many horror stories about movers not showing up, breaking things, etc. These guys were a dream.

NEVER USE THESE GUYS!!!
They seem nice enough at first to get the business but when they arrive on moving day they are pushy, they try to give a verbal fixed quote (against California law) which is WAY too high, they keep on mentioning that they are working hard and should get a tip, they try to get you to buy unnecessary additional boxes and wrappings that you do not need.
They moved us — scratched a bunch of things — I reported it and sent in the report to their claims management. Claims told Millennium they owed us damages — they claimed they never got the email (total BS) so it was sent again — they then said they are allowed to wait 60 days before paying and that is what they would do (nice of them) — they are rude on the phone, clueless, they hang up on you, promise checks are in the post when they are not.
I have given up calling — they will be in the small claims court very soon.
All this for a 1.3 mile move down the road!!!
Total idiots — find someone else PLEASE

Ahhhhh, moving.
Is there ever a more stressful, cluttered, clusterf*ck time period than that before a move? There are boxes everywhere, you can’t remember where you put that vase that your Aunt Phyllis gave you that now suddenly is THE MOST IMPORTANT THING to locate as a result of your stressed out state of mind. If you are like me, you might tear up, yell at a box (that doesn’t work by the way, the damn thing just sits there and mocks you), and basically stress to no end.
Then on the actual moving day, oh forget it. It’s total chaos and you realize who your real friends are. You also realize that you are kind of a user, because two months ago you wouldn’t have even thought to call your buddy to go hang out and grab dinner, but now that you’ve remembered he has a truck, he has suddenly become your #1 on speed dial and why in the hell won’t he call me back!!!
Well, I am here to tell you that no friendship is worth testing over a move and no piece of furniture is worth throwing your back out over, so I say call these guys to come and help you. Help (HA) they do everything and all you have to do is point!
I used them in Feb ’05 when I moved from the 4^th floor of a building with a death trap for an elevator and a staircase that didn’t have one even step on it. My place also had a long hallway that was near impossible to get big things around and these gentleman were able to get every last piece out with not even a scratch! They were funny, kind, friendly, helpful, suggested options and never once did I get the feeling I was getting ripped off. (How often does that happen) Oh and to top it all off, it was pouring rain the day I moved and everything was kept safe and dry.
Within 3 hours, they had completely moved me out of my tricky pad and into my humble abode and I am forever grateful. They even included an extra stop to deliver my then boyfriends couch… and trust me, this was the biggest couch ever and they still handled it with ease. End of the day, with tip, box rentals and a mattress cover it came out to under $ 850. And I had aloooottttt of stuff.
So try them if you need a great mover! I loved them and would use them again in a heartbeat!
Oh and PS: Go to Starbucks or something before hand and get the boys some coffee and some nibblies. It’s not gonna cost you a whole lot, but it makes all the difference. I was blown away to hear that many people don’t do that or offer them anything. C;mon, they are busting their backs to help, be a human and get em some coffee!
