History

Established in 1988.

Dr. Athans has been practicing for over 30 years. He is on the medical staff of Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and is Chief of Psychology there. The licensed clinical psychologists at Athans and Associates have a wealth of knowledge and experience, graduating from many well-​known universities. They practice evidenced-​based treatment with proven outcomes.

Dr Michael A.

Business Owner

Dr. Athans received his doctorate from Michigan State University. He also completed two post-​doctorate degrees from the University of Chicago and Northwestern University. He is on the medical staff of Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, currently serving as its Chief of Psychology. Dr. Athans is a member of the American Psychological Association, Illinois Psychological Association, American Academy of Family Therapists, among other professional organizations.
