horrible. overpriced. after 90 min, i had been told that the food was on its way twice. called a third time. the owner has attitude problem and hangs up the phone. owner lady — take responsibility for your employees mistakes. dont yell at your customers. You are bad at your job if your employees lie to customers and you yell at your customers.

I have managed to get some favorites here, food is really good, and less expensive then other PR sushi joints. I like the curry soup.

the service was horrible. we waited over an hour after ordering on grub hub and didn’t even end up getting our food because we didn’t want to support an establishment with such rude staff that yelled at and harassed us.

First time there for lunch and not going back. Service is soooo slow and we were the only patrons there for the first twenty minutes. We ordered 1 roll to start and BBQ Pork Ramen. We mainly went there to try the Ramen as my husband is currently obsessed. Disgusting. The soup smelled bad and the pork was gross, half of it was just inedible strips of pure lard. We didn’t even finish our meal, went across the street and ordered french fries from five guys just to eat something. This is my first time posting, thats how gross it was. The décor itself is nice, place looks clean and modern. But restaurants are about the food, and this was just crap.

Surprisingly good and reasonably priced for Chicago/suburbs. Enjoyed quite a few maki and tekka rolls including tuna, California and crab. Friendly service. The ramen noodle soup was just okay. Probably would skip it next time.

Maki Sushi has THEMOSTOUTSTANDINGPADTHAI I’ve had ever, anywhere, in a generous portion size. I get the tofu while my husband gets the chicken. Their Pad Thai is the main reason we frequent Maki so often. My daughter loves their California Rolls and they have delicious mango smoothies with tapioca balls. Their ice cream cookie dough egg roll dessert is truly out of this world and that is saying a lot considering I am not a huge fan of cookie dough items in general. The food and drinks are definitely pricey, but the quality and taste makes it worth it. My reasoning for 4 stars instead of 5 is solely based on their poor service. While the staff is always courteous and polite, service is incredibly, horribly, painstakingly sloooooow. We are honestly at the point that we have learned to just call our order in ahead or our arrival so that it is waiting for us when we get there. Otherwise you are there for a ridiculous amount of time waiting to get an extra place setting or a refill or to even get your order taken. After all of the prior poor Unilocal reviews regarding service, you’d think they’d get their act together, but the food is so good and people keep coming back so I guess they don’t have to worry about it.

Pretty good sushi. They have a kids menu here,(which they don’t have at the other local sushi place) which is a plus so I can go w/my sushi despising son. Service is so/so but sushi always tastes fresh.

It is good food but in my ramen with chicken the put way to much chicken and most of it was fat and bones and the noodles where way to rubbery

Maki Sushi & Noodle House in Park Ridge is located on NW Highway just north of Touhy Ave. I went there with my buddy after the morning workout for lunch. Maki Sushi is located in a nice area in Park Ridge. The interior is very spacious and clean. There is a a large menu selection of Japanese and Thai foods reasonably priced. The menu is almost too big with too many options. The service was pretty good That being said the food. I ordered a Japanese bento box and my buddy ordered Thai food that came in a bento box with cashew chicken, vegetables, fruit & rice. Both meals came out in a bento box. The presentation is nice. My meal was a salmon teriyaki bento box that came with vegetable tempura, salad, 3 pieces of California roll & gyoza. The food with the exception of the gyoza was very mediocre. The salmon was cut in the shape of a crescent and was edible, but nothing special. The vegetable tempura came with heavy battering and was ok. The Californian roll wasn’t anything that will excite you. The gyoza was tasty it was pan fried with a crispy texture and was very good. My friends dish didn’t look that appealing either, but he seemed to enjoy it. It was an ok meal & they do have a huge selection so IF I ever go back again I will probably try something different.

Their food is excellent! They don’t bring everyone’s food out at once, though, so it can be awkward at first!

This place is so good. I’ve had everything here, except for any of the raw fish. The Maki rolls are tasty, neat and, more importantly, they do not fall apart. The presentation of the food is beautiful and eye catching but there’s no time to stare, only to eat. :) More importantly, this place is extremely clean. That says a lot. Oh! In the beginning you’ll be given warm hand towels. I don’t know what this is for, but I like it! Bravo, Maki Sushi.

I’ve been going here for years and this excellent sushi for the suburbs. It’s no wonder why they’re always busy. My main staples for rolls are red kimono and crazy crunch. I get it added with black rice! Great fresh fish, and great ingredients they know how to make sushi!

Got the millionaire summer special with udon noodle soup and shrimp tempura. Great meal! Ended up being $ 40 by myself but it was worth the price. The dedication that the sushi chef puts in in front of me at the bar is just wonderful and inspirational.

In my opinion this is the best sushi for the money in the area. The food is great, reasonably priced and has a good selection of specialty rolls too. Also serves thai food if anyone in your group doesnt eat sushi– though the sushi is definitely better than the Thai food. The place itself is just right sized. The décor and ambiance is nice. Service has always been fine. We eat here at least every other month, sometimes more and we couldn’t be happier.

Stopped in to enjoy a Groupon, for a three course dinner with two glasses of champagne. We called ahead, though they were not busy for an early, 5pm Saturday dinner. We were given a nice window table, and were promptly brought hot towels, and asked what we would like to drink. We both ordered Shoga Soda instead of the champagne, one of our favorites. The décor is pleasant, though the music fairly loud. Not too loud for conversation, just later American stuff. ;-) We ordered Pink Lady and Dynamite Maki, followed by Chicken Teriyaki the Sea Bass Special. All items were prepared with care and flavorful. The Pink Lady was particularly fun. Sea Bass Special as fair, but plate wasn’t sizzling, just warm. It still tasted good, but had a fairly mild flavor. Our Groupon came with a dessert as well. We tried the Cookie Roll Dough. It was excellent, and I’m not usually much of a sweets person. Very well done dessert! The wait staff was attentive and friendly. Our water glasses were filled several times, and our server came by to check on us throughout the meal. The value was very good, given the Groupon. It may be a little high for full price, but if you look for deals, it’s a great place to come in the suburbs! Without the Groupon, I’d drop a star for the prices.

Started off nice with hot towels. Sushi pricey and very average presentation and taste. Had the blackjack and millionaire sushi rolls. Rice dry. Nice atmosphere but food pricey and average. $ 45 for 2 rolls and one large Sapporo beer! Yikes not a good place to go for sushi!!!
