I spent a perfect lazy Sunday afternoon at the spa. It was a perfect afternoon so I was able to enjoy the sun and pool. The hot tub was relaxing and quiet. Once I got to my appointments I was relaxed and able to truely relax and enjoy

Treated myself to a birthday spa and could not have been happier. Staff was so kind and comforting to my needs. I received a seaweed body wrap, the best by far. Location is ideal, the drive there is a pleasant one during any season, and as an extra bonus, the swimming pool is available for some laps before your spa treatment. Botanical Spa & Salon remains my #1 go to spa!

Carol (the masseuse-​in-​chief) is simply astonishing. I signed on for a membership just so I can benefit monthly from her massages, which I now regard as a staple in my health regimen. Massages I’ve had in the past had a feel-​good effect for a few hours. Carol’s last for days, and it’s not just «feel-​good.» There are real physical and psychological benefits. Pretty incredible.

Third time here, great service with a professional staff. EMA is great, walk out of a massage like walking on air.

After a week-​long road trip from NJ to Chicago, my boyfriend and I really needed a massage. So we decided to scope out some deals on couples massages in the area. We found the Botanical Spa & Salon on Amazon Local. So to make sure we could use the deal immediately (as in next day), I called before purchasing to make sure they would accept it. The guy told me that I didn’t need to buy the deal and they would honor the price. You would just pay them instead of paying Amazon, so that’s what we did. They happened to have a slot open so the timing worked for us.
Turns out, it wasn’t actually a couples massage. You’re actually in separate, adjoining rooms, and they just leave that door open. That’s fine but if that’s the case, they shouldn’t advertise it as a «couples massage.» Other than that, the massage was nice — nothing to complain about, but also nothing to write home about. The deal also included an add-​on service, which was either a back scrub or a foot mask. I opted for the back scrub. They were a little rough on that but it was worth it because my back felt really smooth afterwards.
With a massage, you also get access to their fitness center, hot tub, and pool. There’s also a locker room and showers but the showers are pretty dismal-​looking. One of the two doesn’t even have a soap/​shampoo dispenser.
I probably wouldn’t be back because the facilities didn’t seem too spa-​like (especially when you’re sharing with hotel guests, since it’s located within the Marriott). Plus, I feel like I could find a better deal elsewhere.

LOVE!!! That says it all. I usually try to fly in to NJ several hours early so I can spend time at this spa!!! Amazing!

Massage was fine. The manicure was horrendous. The ladies do not know have professional experience. The woman who was doing my nails almost clipped my skin and didn’t know how to file properly. My mother hated how her nails came out. There were streaks and the color went onto her skin. TERRIBLE. The worst, most unprofessional service I’ve received at a salon.

I always come here to get facials from Gazala and she does such an amazing job. I always feel more refreshed and cleansed after my facials. The people is so nice and I love to come here any time I can. Also, cannot complain about the complementary water and granola! :)

This was my first trip to any spa (and my first Unilocal post and my first time using Group On)…bear with me!
For my 23^rd birthday, I decided I would try doing a spa day using a Group On deal. I chose the 60 minute facial, 60 minute massage, and two add ons.
When I called to book an appointment, I was greeted by an extremely kind and helpful receptionist. She made me feel very comfortable coming in, especially since I have never been to a spa before. I was also thankful that she asked whether I wanted a female or male masseuse because I would have forgotten to mention so.
When I came in for my treatments, I was immediately greeted by the kindest and most warming esthetician. She went step by step as to what I should expect in the next two hours. We also figured out what kind of skin type I had so she can accommodate to my needs. The facial was so relaxing. I was quite nervous at first, but I pretty much fell asleep by the end of the treatment. I couldn’t tell you how sweet the esthetician was.
Then I was greeted by my masseuse who immediately took me into the room. She asked me what my priority areas were, and she even asked me what she should avoid (which I thought was thoughtful). The massage was great and I felt so relaxed after the whole two hours.
Unfortunately, I had to go back to work so I couldn’t hang around for the pool/​sauna/​gym which is offered to you.
I will be telling my friends about this place. I am strongly considering bringing my mother to this spa for her birthday in December.
P. S. the facilities were SO clean and that is SO important to me!

Dorothy gave THE most enjoyable massage I’ve received in a while! I received personalized attention to troubled areas while slipping into a deep relaxation that lasted throughout the duration of the massage. The spa was clean, massage table was like laying on a cloud, Dorothy and staff were friendly and attentive. I will undoubtedly go back!

I had such a pleasant experience at this spa. I booked a 90 minute deep tissue massage and a 30 minute facial.
My massage was with John and he was very accommodating. He applied the perfect pressure and focused on the areas that had knots that needed to be worked out. The music was soothing and not distracting. I would highly recommend booking with John!
As far as the facial goes, this was my first one! I had the pleasure of experiencing this with Ghazela and she was as sweet as can be! She is very informative and preventative in skin care. She gave me great recommendations and I will be sure to use a toner in my skincare routine! She offered different masks and peels, however with it being my first facial I wanted to see how my skin would react to the gentle exfoliation. So far, looks great!
I am incredibly relaxed and will continue to book my spa treatments with them!

My first time here, got an amazing haircut from Carol who was super sweet and did an awesome job! I felt so welcome and accommodated while I was here. I can wait to come back again!

Started out with receiving a Groupon for here and now I’m a regular. I absolutely LOVE Carolynn. She’s THE best masseuse and facialist around. I’ve had massages in Italy, Beverly Hills, Palm Springs, Miami and NYC and have never had any massage or facial as amazing as Carolynn has given. Make sure to book in advance!

I can’t say it enough. The Botanical Spa is a a great place to come for a serious massage. The staff is always so nice. Always working to help you in any way you need. My regular is Carolynn who is absolutely amazing at her job. When ever I visit she always takes care of any aches & pains I have.

Sorry but this place is really a dump. It’s hard to find within the hotel and has one room as a massage room and no lounge area. The bathroom looks like something from my moms 70’s house? Really odd place. Ad looks good but save your time and $

I received a GroupOn here for a facial and massage for my birthday. I am alittle bit of a massage/​facial snob. But Botanical Spa was on par. I was very relaxed and enjoyed my time at their spa.
Moreover, my facial was amazing. My estician, Carolyn, worked wonders on me and really discussed my needs/​worrys of my skin care before she worked on me. She is great and one of the best facials I ever had.

Visited the spa on 10÷3÷14 Had a nice experience. My First time in an Aveda sponsored spa. My first service was a Massage with Bill. I would recommend him hands down. He gives and extra special foot massage. I had a zen like facial with Dorothy. My skin is glowing today. Then I finished my day with a spa pedicure and manicure with Vanna. Would I go back maybe.
I’m giving the spa a 3 star because of few reasons. One part of the staff felt it was necessary to market the spa for another visit since I was using living social. I was still on the massage table. He could have waited till I cashed out. Also this is not a foofie spa. No thrill. No lockers. No amenities. I will say it was clean in the treatment rooms. But the bathrooms were gross and smelled like mold and you can openly see it in the bathroom stalls.

Took my boyfriend. It was a surprise birthday gift. He had only wonderful things to say about his experience. I believe Annnie attended to him!

My fiancé surprised me with a livingsocial deal for a facial and massage here a few months ago and I finally went and redeemed my voucher! The spa is inside the Marriott in Park Ridge, which is not specified on the voucher. Nobody mentioned this fact when I called to make the appointment, so I was a little confused when my GPS brought me to this rather remote location.
I never had a facial before, so I had no idea what to expect. My esthetician was fabulous. We had a lovely conversation and she explained each step of what she was doing to my face. I left feeling fresh and clean and got some good skincare tips.
Then I moved on to the massage… WELL! I’ve had a few massages in my time and I’ve NEVER felt so relaxed that I was able to fall asleep. Until I came here. I actually think I slept through the last few minutes.
They actually offered me the same deal to come back before August so I got it and I will be back!

Had a wonderful facial by Carey. She was super knowledgable about the products and really taught me a lot. I spoke to her the whole facial! I never do that, but she was so sweet and I enjoyed our conversation during the service.
I wish they offered a full spa experience, but I find that harder and harder to come by these days. It would be nice if they added a quiet sitting area instead of waiting in the hotel lobby. Also offering some of that amazing Aveda tea would be a nice touch.
Regardless of that my skin looks great and I will be going back.
