Patty Tease Overall: 4.25 Stars I found this truck on one of my 46th Street(bet 5th&6th avenue) food truck visits. Never seeing them before I see a reasonably long line and what can be described as highly authentic(is that a thing?) Caribbean menu. Jerk chicken, curry coat and of course oxtail were all pictured on their larger than life menu on the left side. On the ride side of the truck is an overwhelming list of patties from your standard chicken and beef patties to original or obscure patties including crab, shrimp and callaloo. Don’t make the same mistake I did and order 3 patties for yourself! You will not regret it until you suffer from the itis. The patties are double the size of your average patty you find at a pushcart or pizzeria. In my haste, I starting eating before taking a picture and continued scarfing them down until there was nothing left but a paper bag and wrappers. I couldn’t tell much of a difference between the chicken and the beef, but both were excellent. The fish was very good as well, but a little dry for my tastes. Then again, there was so much cod in the patty I can ignore that small minor insignificant issue. With the quantity and quality they provide, it amazes me that they actually make any profit. 2 patties are more than enough for the average heavy lunch eater. The service is quick and efficient. I just wish they would come back up to 46th street again. I miss their food and loathe anyone lucky enough to be near their regular downtown locations. LOATHE! Ajay R. nailed the true experience of this truck on the head!

Rude staff, rushed me along when THEY were out of something I wanted to order and I took a sec to decide something else, and overcharged for a SIDE of rice… definitely not going to be a return customer

Delicious beef patty! They got it right! I enjoyed it immensely and didn’t even want to wait for it to cool! I didn’t try the food but I enjoyed speaking to the lovely chef and will stop by anytime I’m in in the neighborhood.

Had their oxtail last week and it was delicious. Decided to give curried chicken a try but it was a disaster. Not properly seasoned and no taste. Waste of $ 10 as I had to throw the chicken away as, in addition, it was not properly cooked. Consistency is key so they need to master this dish.

Their truck was in Lower Manhattan today and tried the Cod Fish patty. Yummay! The patty was big and enough for a small lunch. I can’t wait to try other things from their menu. Thank you for coming into my life!

Eunace runs this truck and she is the best! I can only comment on the patties, as that’s all I get. All are good, but the curry chicken and jerk chicken patties are great! Find her here on the weekend.

You know it’s authentic Jamaican when: 1. They list over 10 types of patties on the menu but when you ask what they have they say«Meh have beef, chicken an’ fish». 2. When you ask if the jerk chicken is spicy and you get a side glance and a wicked smile. 3. It comes on a truck. 4. You ask for a menu and you get an old yellowed piece of paper that’s seeing the light of day for the first time. I’ve seen this truck around the neighborhood a few times and I finally stopped to try it out. It’s manned by a sweet Jamaican lady who is serving up some very decent food. I got jerk chicken and fish patties, along with a jerk chicken platter. The patties were decent… I found the fish more interesting. The jerk chicken platter was GREAT. The jerk was properly spicy without the need for any added hot sauce, and the plantains and veggies were good. From Mon-Thur they’re at 9th St and 7th Ave. Fri-Sun they’re at 10th St and 5th Ave. Kudos to them for setting up in this part of town… it’s a welcome addition.
