Saturday 1/23, during the blizzard, they were one of the only places open in the neighborhood it seemed and the guy working didn’t seem like he minded all that much! So thanks for keeping open a little longer for the few people who decided a slice needed to be part of our Saturday Snow shenanigans. We have eaten here several times and each time the pizza has been consistently good!

Our son just had his birthday party in Two Boots Park Slope. It could not have been better. The owner was really really nice, the pizza was delicious and altogether it was a big hit. It was a great idea to have the party there

I’ve been a HUGE Two Boots fan since my first visit to one of the city locations in HS. I’ve always been able to eat vegan here because of the Earth Mother — 5 veggies from the garden on a Circular Sicilian pie. Sometime in the past decade the entire chain switched the base of the Earth Mother to a whole wheat sicilian, which I’ve eaten many times but realized it never sat well with me. Then a few years ago they introduced V for Vegan, which is enjoyable and great to have options but I’m even more excited they now offer«Veganize It» versions of other pies I have never yet tried. So now Two Boots opens not close enough to me to deliver but I was in the neighborhood and figured I could pickup a pie to bring home for dinner. The guy behind the counter(effeminate guy with short dark hair & glasses) must have be newly introduced to the restaurant he’s working for, my guess is he’s a transplant. I was super stoked to be able to make this special trip and I could *FINALLY* order an original crust Sicilian pie. Sadly, there’s miscommunication because I order«regular» thinking the«Regular or Whole Wheat Sicilian» means I could get a «Regular Sicilian,» but he does not ask me which kind — even though this pie is a default Sicilian. He also did not know the usual 5-veggies, and asked me what I wanted on it, which furthers my case for newness. So disappointed taking this delicious smelling pie home but live & learn with n00bs I suppose, and be EXTRA specific when ordering! UPDATE: Well, the sauce was so bland I feel like I only got the Italy boot, no Louisiana. I had to throw tons of hot pepper flakes to make it a happier pie, but it wasn’t the same. :(((

You wanna slice that’s for a little kick? Too much oregano for my kids but great toppings options. Miss the outpost of 7th but they’ve done a nice job building a culture on fifth. Check them out on Jimmy Kimmel Brooklyn.

3 words. Yuck yucky and yuckier. Ok I have to write more. I have no idea how they make their crust. I was afraid I was going to crack my teeth tasted like I was chewing on sand. Pizza with red onion and mushrooms. Tasteless. I was putting everyone every condiment on to give it taste. Dirty and pretty much self service. There was a good band though. Oh so I just found out what the crust is made of– spoke with the pizza maker– a very course corn meal that the crust sits in overnight. Yuck.

Consistently underwhelming. Was very excited when this place opened as my family misses the old place on 2nd St. This new outpost doesn’t even come close. Their pizzas are uninspired and the taste is fairly meh. Service is generally mediocre. My favorite aspect is that you can never count on them having the flavor pie you want(for slices) as they seem to randomly decide what to make and what not.

First time having pizza from Two Boots and it was a good time to try them out since they are veganizing more of their pizzas! They had their vegan one and another somewhat similar one both available for slices. The slices were huge and filled with toppings. Plus they didn’t skimp on the vegan cheese(they use Daiya) or the extra sauce on top. Would have been a little more impressed if they had something besides Daiya… Although I hear they have a homemade vegan ricotta now too. But overall quite delicious! Everyone should have more vegan pizza!

Just ordered a pie for delivery thru Seamless. Kid arrives with no insulated bag. Hands me a box and the pie is ice cold. I live five minutes away. Seriously, who delivers pizza without taking steps to keep it hot? You had ONE job Two Boots.

So I’m on the«vegan kick» and this place was recommended by friends who had Two Boots’ vegan pizza while they were on their«vegan kick». I’ll try it. If I’m going to be vegan(for now pescatarian), I’ll eat my way through some of NYC’S best vegan menus; but I’m a hard sale. If it’s going to be vegan, it can’t taste like earth! Trick me into believing I should’ve been eating this way all along, and the vegan pie at Two Boots may have done that. We get to the Park Slope location at about 6:30pm on a Friday, and the place is jumping… with children. Um okay, not sure if there’s some deal going on, but okay(my husband says«it’s family night!», so I guess… To me it’s date night, clearly we need to have a chat lol). The menu is a little extensive, and I had questions, the person who took my order(black guy with long dreads, seemed to be running the place) was incredibly helpful! We settled on a small vegan pizza pie(of course) and the po boy shrimp sandwich, sauce on the side(like I said, a pescatarian for now) About 15 minutes went by, and our food was brought to the table. I pretty much inhaled my whole pie. It WAS delicious! Very flavorful(I’m starting to notice alot of vegan food I order from restaurants is very flavorful… maybe to hide the fact that there’s no meat/dairy/eggs???). The onions, mushroom, an spinach all seem to mesh together so well, and you couldn’t tell me that cheese wasn’t real! Love it! My husband tried his po boy, but it was too spicy for him. So I finished half of his sandwich, and my entire pie. I’ll definitely be going back(I’ve already tried the Grand Central terminal location, and while the pizza didn’t taste as fresh(I got the pie to go), it was still good.

Iove this place. The bartender is so nice. $ 3 happy hour caught our eye but we stayed for the great tunes and low key atmosphere.

The fact that i can eat vegan here is amazing. Gluten free is an option too. Oh and their chocolate chip cookies!!! To die for. They also have comedy night on Wednesdays!

Great pizza– perfect NY style crust. Surprisingly my favorite was the pepperoni pizza. Slices range from $ 3-$ 4 or you can purchase an entire pizza but you’ll have to wait longer. They also have 4 – 5 beers on tap all for $ 5. Friendly staff too!

The Bayou Beast was complimented by the Merlot on tap(trendy). I tasted the Purple Haze and ended up ordering that as well. I thought it odd that they served chocolate chip cookies, but was presently surprised that my $ 1 investment in the sweet treat was worth it! Thanks for the awesome Tuesday happy hour experience Tina(our fantastic server)! Ask for her, she’ll take care of ya! Only downside, no option for alligator meat on the pizzas.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a quick, low key meal, so we decided to give Two Boots a try. I am super glad I found this place, because the food was amazing. My boyfriend and I shared a pepperoni & bayou slice(bayou slice topped with shrimp, crawfish, & jalapeño) both slices were thin, crispy, and full of flavors. We also shared the spiced catfish sandwich accompanied by potato ships also very very good.(Sandwich had enough veggies and meat) Although service was just ok, I will definitely because the food was ammmazzzzing!!! This place definitely has its own UNIQUE menu. A combination of pizza & Cajun is without a doubt a plus! TWOBOOTS: *Offers beer/wine *Decent size bar *Unusual yet unique toppings *Large flat screen t.v.(Good for sport lovers) *Family friendly

Hmm. Fine, not great. Sauce tasted so heavily of tomato paste and dried oregano that it completely lacks freshness. Far too much cornmeal on the crust left everything kind of gritty, and yet the pie was surprisingly flaccid. Issues with delivery(a missing pie, a promised«significant» discount for the resent 2nd pie that turned out to be only $ 2 for the trouble — seriously?) and issues with packing(one pie apparently was too large for the box so they layered 2 slices on top of the rest of the pie, totally ruining those slices). Alas, a disappointment. I’m afraid this will not be our go-to option in the neighborhood.

I was out Looking for a place to grab a small pie for dinner and ran into two boots, figures I’d give it a shot. The shop had colorful decorations and a couple tv’s so it looked pretty inviting. I decided to order a small Mr. Pink — creole chicken, plum tamato, garlic and mozz. The slice was pretty thin and watery. Trying to eat it without it breaking apart wasn’t working so I had to end up using a fork. The pizzas aroma smelt so good but sadly with every bite no flavor followed. The sauce pretty much tasted like tomatoe water which in turn watered down the rest of the flavor. I craved something with more flavor so I ended up ordering some garlic knots. Sadly they didn’t have much flavor either. They were lightly brushed with olive oil and I could barely taste any garlic. Sigh I don’t know if it’s just my taste buds today or if this place just ain’t happening. I give it 3 stars because the staff was really friendly and the place was pretty clean. Can’t say much for their pizza though.

Two Boots serves thin crust pizzas with lots of unusual toppings. That’s not really my thing, so it was never at the top of my list. But, it’s wacky and colorful, and you get accustomed to it being around. So when the store on Seventh Avenue closed, I was surprised. And when I read that this store opened on Fifth Avenue, I was pleased to see them back. I’m on the hunt for great gluten free pizzas AND they deliver, so our fate was sealed. I added ricotta because I love cheese and I needed to get my order up 50 cents for delivery. A friendly guy delivered my small gluten free pie. It was cheesy and delicious; they load the cheese to the very edge of the crust. The crust itself was pretty good, especially at the edges where it crisped up a bit. And the sauce is loaded with herbs and very tasty. Definitely at the top of my list for the best cheesy gluten free pizza around. And they also make a faux cheese version for vegans.

#Iconic #Two Boots has somewhat become an iconic NY pizza brand I just realized #It’s like the Magic Mushroom of NYC #My friends are like what pizza did you order? #Oh shit. Two Boots? #awesome! #This pizza is from a birthday pizza party #Remember pizza parties? #We had 8 large pizzas #all gone in a few minutes. #The bottom of the crust has their signature texture #ribbed for our pleasure #oh man, I just read in the other reviews this location used to be Great Lakes #had one of my favorite jukeboxes of all time #even had my bands’ songs on there #although they always blacked out Echo and the Bunnymen’s «The Killing Moon» with a marker #I’d play it anyways #RIP Great Lakes

The 2nd Street location has been closed for awhile.(and nothing has come to the space which is kind of a bummer) The old Terrior/Great Lakes space is not Two Boots and I think they have been smart in just having pizza. The pizza is a little pricey compared to other places but other places do not have the Tony Clifton. Fun to see another addition to restaurant row between Garfield and First.

I was very happy to see these guys open up shop in the neighborhood, having visited several of their Manhattan locations. If you’ve been to any of those(West Village, Noho, Alphabet City, etc.) or elsewhere, this is the same thing. Most of the usual suspects were there: Newman, Bird, Mr. Pink, Bayou Beast, Cleopatra Jones, etc. Absent, however, were Mel Cooley and The Dude. Hopefully this wrong gets righted quickly. This location, unsurprisingly, is very kid-friendly. They were passing out small balls of pizza dough to all tables with kids so they could play around a bit. I thought that was kind of cool. Otherwise, service was quick, the space is comfortable(formerly Great Lakes and Terroir, respectively) and the prices are consistent with their other locations. I happen to love their unusual and quirky pizza, so I’ll definitely be back. I imagine this place is going to do very well, if my experience on a Sunday afternoon was any indication. Two Boots now serves as the anchor on a very powerful and attractive block of food options in the hood; Two Boots, Blue Ribbon, Calexico, Bonnie’s and Naruto Ramen, all in succession. Welcome aboard!
