Fantastic BBQ. Doesn’t even need sauce, but the sauce is really good too. Like this place better than hickory house, but can be tough with the hours he’s open.

Big Jim came up to our car as we pulled up, and reached out to shake my and my wife’s hand as we left the car! Never been to a place like this before, and will be glad to return! we both had rib dinner plates with homemade sides and homemade peach cobbler. Jim played football with the Atlanta Falcons back in the day, and is hilarious! the ribs and sauce were delicious with a little spicy to them, and potato salad and beans were fantastic. Give this place a shot and you won’t be disappointed!

Finally stopped at BIGJIMS. Meat was over cooked and dry. He has to much meat cooking. Smoking meat should be slow and indirect, seems like all his meat was overdone and burnt. Had the brisket lunch, meat was chewy and overpriced. There is a reason why they put BBQ sauce on the meat without asking! I think he only cares about quantity over quality. Disappointed! I would look else where if your craving good BBQ!

If you like brisket you should get it from big Jim. One of the best I’ve had. Also he has excellent ribs, ham, sausage, beans and potato salad. Big Jim is his name and bbq is his game!

Ok BBQ very high priced. Only opened on the weekends. There’s not much to say about the food it wasn’t great but wasn’t bad either. I checked out some prices turkey leg $ 13, 2 meat 2 sides dinner plate $ 23. They offer to smoke your meat $ 2.50 per lb.

I’ve never posted a food review before, but this little BBQ truck has compelled me to begin. I just moved to Parker a few months ago and have lived in the south and St. Louis prior. You can always tell what good real barbecue is and these guys got it. The woman was very friendly who served me. It was a bit pricey and a little bit of a wait. But you end up waiting and paying for some damn good food. Watching the guy open up the meat smoker when you’re hungry is pretty near to a sexual experience. If you’re around and have the opportunity, TRYTHISPLACE.

Big Jim’s Bbq is awesome! Great sauce and a good amount of smoke. This little food truck is only open on Saturday and Sunday 10 – 6. It was always on my mind to try it but I could never get the timing right, until today. Heavenly! I tried the Bbq beef which was nice chopped into small bit size pieces and covered in sauce. I always have to ask for extra sauce… not this time. The ribs were the star player in it all. The meat was tender enough to get off the bone easily but not too over done. For sides I tried the potato salad and baked beans. The potato salad is a mustard style with a nice pepper bite. The beans were amazing they were sweet and smokey with a deep rich flavor. Definitely would recommend.

Excellent smoky flavor. This is a favorite way my husband uses to get me to eat(cancer patient wasting away to nothing) but I can’t resist the smoky sweet flavor here. Thank you for every pound you’ve helped me not loose.

Honestly this was the worst, overpriced bbq I’ve ever had. I’ve been to many very good bbq places in texas so I have a pretty good idea what good bbq taste like. I know that bbq is subjective based on the persons particular taste preference. The BBQ that I had was a 2 meat combo for $ 23, that consisted of chopped brisket and pulled pork. I have no idea why it was chopped and saturated in BBQ sauce. The meat was all fatty and chewy. Then the fact that I spent $ 23 for this little place of chewed up looking meat was not very satisfactory. I definitely will not be back and I will caution anyone who goes there.

First time customer that will be back. First class customer service and friendly atmosphere is unmatched by many businesses. Personal service in selecting your meat and sides with taste tests during the process so you know what you getting. Big Jim’s BBQ offers so many selections of great cuts of meats pared with fantastic sides including some of the best beans I’ve had. I’ve found that the negative reviews on Big Jim’s are far from accurate. BBQ reviews are in the eye of the beholder. With that being said, I’ve had famous BBQ style variations from Memphis dry rub to classic Texas BBQ to Kansas City classics and any combination in between. While Big Jim’s sauce is different from most, that is a good thing. The sauce is a balance of smoke, sweet, tangy and spice and compliments the meat perfectly. I’m very pleased I chose to have Big Jim’s for diner tonight. My family and I have thoroughly enjoyed every bite of our baby back ribs and brisket.

We got the 3 meat and 2 sides today. Did double beef and pork ribs for the meats and potato salad and baked beans for the sides. The ribs were great, but the beef was terrible. Super chewy! The sides were awesome and the sauce is good. Might have to go again and try something besides the beef.

Don’t let the fire pit fool you like it did me. It looked like I would get some of the best BBQ, but boy was I ever wrong, Overpriced!!! 1 rack of ribs=$ 29 which I wouldn’t mind paying had I been able to actually chew the meat without breaking my teeth. The taste: the meat is DRY and just soaked with a bunch of BBQ sauce that doesn’t even taste good. I wouldn’t eat this if it was offered free of charge. In fact, I wouldn’t eat it even if someone paid me to.

I feel like the quality has continued to go downhill. The sides are still great, but the meat has not tasted as good in the past few months. And after all, we go get BBQ for the meat, not for the sides. The sausage tastes very smoky. Like it’s been smoked for too long and you’re just eating smoke. Lots of smoke, not enough meat taste. The pork, which used to be fantastic, now has a crunchy outer edge, and a lot of fat. The beef brisket is still tasty, but seems fattier. The beans and cole slaw are still great. Yum. I did not care for the potato salad at all. It was rather dry.

I am no bbq aficionado, but I got a half pound of brisket, chicken, and pork, and I was more than delighted. All of the meat was tender, the sauce they used was sweet with a touch of spice. I have been driving past this place, twice a day for 2 years and today I finally stopped by. Couldn’t have made a better choice. I really could not pick out any negatives, the guys working showed me around the smoker/grill and provided me with some info before ordering. Next time I plan on getting the ribs!

Nice guy but questionable food. Big Jim didn’t communicate the orders well to his right hand man either so it took quite a while to get our food. once we got it, we realized it wasn’t worth the wait or the money. Quality definetely wasn’t there(lots of fat). I don’t recommend spending your money here. After a few bites I had to throw the rest out. Shame.

Big Jim from Arkansas is a nice friendly dude but I just couldn’t let that blind me from the fact that a 3 meat platter with 2 small sides cost $ 28! The 5 meat platter cost like $ 35 but the small portion all fit into just 1 regular size styrofoam container. They really need to adjust their portion or set lower prices. Ribs were burnt, beef was hard, chicken was ok. Don’t let the big fire pit fool you into thinking this is good BBQ even for food truck standards.

Very low grade quality of product used. I was told the ribs were great so I stopped by and bought $ 100 worth for a get together at the pad. I took 2 bites from 2 of the racks and threw all 4 racks in the trash. What a waste of money. Trust me, I know great ribs. These ribs are for people who haven’t got a clue.

I keep hearing its the best BBQ around here. I’m from Texas and my friends were all BBQers and I dabbled a bit as well. Suffice to say I was not impressed. The food is OK, but its dry. Not very moist. Also not very flavorful. I disliked the sauce quite a bit. Just not worth my money.

The beans are the best I’ve ever had. The cole slaw was fresh and yummy… the only problem was the meat. The ribs were good but the brisket was below par(how come it came in chunks). The sausage was well… sausage and the chicken was average. For the price you pay I won’t be back unless its just for the beans.

Stopped by Big Jim’s last Saturday after enjoying the Parker Days festivities.(Side note: the parade included free popcorn and popsicles… for a few minutes I actually thought I was in heaven.) I was with a few friends, so we all chipped in a few bucks and ordered the five meat sampler(brisket, pork, ribs, sausage, chicken). Surprisingly it was handed to us in a single styrofoam lunch-size box… which was worrisome since it needed to feed four hungry amigos. HOWEVER, I felt the weight of the box and almost dropped it. That box of meat was jam-packed full of smoky perfection. We got home and threw it all on to a platter(see uploaded pictures of said platter for a good laugh) in order to heat it up in the oven. After ten minutes of warming, we pulled it out of the oven and barbarically torn into that marvelous mountain of meat. SOGOOD. Oh man. The sausage was probably my favorite. Word of warning: the sausage is actually very spicy; not for the faint of tastebuds. Big Jim came here from Arkansas and bought legit southern BBQ with him. Go visit him and grab some of his great BBQ!
