Great experience! I know I’m a «little fish» compared to the commercial landscaping projects and residential «outdoor living space remodels» that Hi Def typically handles, but the service they provided me was excellent.
Steve came out and was able to quickly diagnose my system and fix it!
It was a beautiful feeling to see that gentle spray of water, misting over the grass!
Not only did Steve get my sprinkler system up and going, he gave me some pointers on a couple DIY level repairs that could make my system work better for how we use our back yard. We put up a trampoline for the kids so we are debating to leave grass or landscape underneath.
Steve gave me some good advice for whichever way we chose so that we can use water more efficiently!

I hired Steve and his team to come and do a variety of landscaping jobs for a home sell prep. It was not what I would consider a very large job, but they happily did it for us. They did work ranging from lawn re-​sodding to shrub replacement, mulching and freshening up landscaping rock that they brought on site. I was also happy to hear that they were able to do fountain repair without me having to call a second contractor. The price was reasonable and the quality was excellent. I would highly recommend him for any landscaping jobs — particularly home sell preparation. The house looks great!

Steve and his crew did a great job with our backyard. Our whole yard was done and looked great a week after we closed! All of our neighbors were really impressed on how quickly and what a great job they did! Whenever we had questions or concerns Steve got back to us within the hour! I already recommended them to all my friends and neighbors!

Meeting Steve, he was very nice and personable and was able to come up with a really nice design and one of the best quotes within our budget, he was also able to start the project a lot sooner then all the other companies I got quotes from as well. When the crew came to do the job they were professional, friendly and cleaned up after they were all done. The only issue I had was that Steve or the office could have returned my phone calls a little sooner when I had questions.

Just like all the other negative reviews, I had Steve come out and he was very nice and said I’d have a quote within a few days. It’s been a month. No reply to emails, phone calls, nothing.

I contacted Steve at HI-​DEF Landscapes back in the in the middle of the summer of 2014 regarding a project in 2015. Not only was he one of the few that expressed any interest at all during peak season, Steve made it a point to take time out of his undoubtedly hectic schedule to meet me at the property and discuss my goals for the project. He thoroughly covered what we wanted it to look like, how we wanted to use the space, what our budget was, and long-​term plans.
When we received Steve’s proposal with design and numbers, his proposed design look better than anything I had received from other companies and his price was significantly lower. He did everything he could to make sure the finished product would be what I had in mind as well as ensuring that the total was within our budget.
Now that our landscape is completed, I am beyond impressed. Steve exceeded our every expectation when I gave him the freedom to execute the project according to his vision. He absolutely nailed the design with little direction from us.
The backyard looks incredible, but the whole experience with HI-​DEF is what sets Steve apart from the rest. His team’s work is incredible, his prices are unbeatable, and his attention to detail is unparalleled. The little things like making sure the job site was clean every day when they left, sending me emails daily with updates on the work done and expectation for the next week’s work, frequent site walks to make sure I was satisfied every step of the way, flexibility and adjustments based on my new thoughts — Steve and his crew were just plain on point throughout the project.
If you’re looking for a great landscape at a great price with a true personal touch, just call Steve — there’s no reason to look elsewhere.

Steve is wonderful! I had Steve pour a stamped and stained concrete patio for me in August which is a completely crazy time of the year for this industry. Not only did Steve respond to me in a quick but caring manner, but his bid came in about 25% less than the competition. Patio turned out better than I ever imagined. Steve is a great guy and does a wonderful job managing his clients and team. I already have him working on additional projects. He is a true business owner that will do anything to exceed expectations!

Not the company you want to work with if you have a small or mid sized job and/​or if you expect your phone calls to be returned.
That being said Steve was very nice and was able to come out to talk to me about my project right away he even fixed a sprinkler head for me on his first visit. He told me they were busy but that he would have a quote for me in a couple of days. Three weeks and many unanswered and unreturned phone calls later I have still not received a quote or any response.

Very disappointed. We called Steve he came to the house to look at the project. He was very nice and we had a good feeling about him. THEN— he just disappeared. He said he be back with us in a week, 3+ weeks later still no word. I have called, left voice-​mails (voice-​mail is full now) and emailed several times all with no reply.
the only thing I can think the issue is he pressured us for a budget number, we shot it low assuming he would counter like a normal business. Either that or he is in a hospital which as much as this is a 1 star review I hope he is well.

Steve fixed my broken sprinkler heads and adjusted the ones that weren’t covering the proper areas. I wish I would have called him much earlier! I am so pleased with this company and will call them again when my sprinkler service needs attention. Very reasonable prices as well as professional, knowledgeable technicians. I’m impressed.

Steve and his crew were wonderful! I had a drainage issue in my yard and needed some serious help. Steve was very prompt in returning my call, and in scheduling someone to come out to give me an estimate. Aaron came out the following day and was very nice and professional. I was very happy with the price quote and what needed to be done to fix the drainage issue. When the crew came to do the job they were professional, friendly, clean and quick! My experience with HI-​DEF was great, I would definitely recommend them!

I contacted Steve just after moving into our new house. The house we got has a massive backyard that is going to need a lot of work. And on top of that, the «patio» that was attached to the house was like a 10×10 slab of concrete. So we wanted to make sure that whoever we were going to use to help design the patio, we wanted to use them for the landscaping as well in the future. We got 3 different estimates (including Steves) and decided to go with Steve not only because he was the best priced, but also because his vision on what we wanted to do was pretty much exactly what we had already been thinking.
As most thing go, not everything about the job was perfect. Some things took a little longer than expected and other various issues popped up. However, those things, for me at least, are easy to look over when the final product is as good as it turned out for us. We are thrilled with how our patio turned out and everyone who comes over thinks its amazing as well. We have already passed Steves name off to several friends who have insisted they know who did the work.
I will be using him for all future landscaping!

Steve and his crew did a great job in addressing our needs. He was able to plan, and execute a plan to create a beautiful backyard for my family and I. He was very attentive to our input and was also very affordable. You’re making a mistake if you don’t hire HI-​DEF Landscape & Design.

Great guys and great service. I appreciate their hard work. Steve (the owner) got right back to us and helped out in a jam when our prior landscape company bailed on Christmas lights.

Unilocalers, DON’T LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE FOR LANDSAPE HELP!
I had an issue with my auto-​sprinkling system and called several landscape firms to ask about someone who could help. Steve was not only prompt in returning my call, but offered free advice over the phone. When I couldn’t fix the problem myself, he came out and worked through the issues and fixed my system.
Extreamly personable, professional, and willilng to help.
If I ever have future needs, I won’t be looking anywhere else, and neither should you fellow Unilocalers!

I was very impressed with the quality of work that Steve and his Hi-​Def crew did with our simple landscaping needs. I had a very strict budget and he was able to do all the work I wanted done and stay under budget. On the day that we had a final discussion on the work to be done, I found a crack in the sprinkler system from the system not being properly winterized. He was able to repair it and not add a lot to the budget. I have found the company that will help us winterize our yard this coming year, I would rather pay a few more dollars to have it done right, then have to pay a lot more in the spring to fix a problem. I would recommend Hi-​Def Landscaping.

Very disappointed, got a quote from them during the end of the 2013 summer, called them and request if they would honor the quote to have the project done for this summer 2014 and was told to email them the flier that one of their guys wrote the quote on which I did, they than said they would need to come out and view the yard, made 2 appointments and they never showed, first no show, the person said he forgot about the appointment and was busy working on something else… wow, the second time, he was just a complete no show, no phone call, nothing, very unprofessional, I would never recommend this company to anyone I know or ask of them. Just a FYI, please treat all of the customers as if they’re important no matter how big or small the project is.

Honest, Professional and the hardest working group of guys we have ever had the opportunity to work with. Steve, Aaron and the crew were working on our backyard all day every day, working late into the evening and on weekends. They replied to emails quickly and communicated with us every day about the process. We felt they were a part of our family for the time they were here, that is how loyal and honest they are. They transformed our backyard from a huge field of a dirt and weeds into a beautiful outdoor environment. We will most DEFINITELY use HI DEF for everything we do in the future. We could not have chosen a better landscape company!
