This is a great little restaurant with amazing food! We ordered the wings, sandwiches, and some of their pie slices. Best wings I’ve had in town so far! The pie I had(cherry) was absolutely delicious. I was also able to try the pecan and chocolate chip. Everything was extremely tasty and the service was phenomenal. They also had a hockey game on the TV which won over our hearts. We will be back!

Five stars to the pie maker at this joint. Not so much for the entrée maker. Chicken fried chicken was tasty but the gravy was severely bland. My wife’s chicken fried steak sandwich was dry and over-fried. My kids got bison burgers and they were about as flavorless as any meat I have tasted. I highly doubt they put any seasonings on the meat. But the homemade pies are simply awesome. I think the pie will be this place’s saving grace.

Definitely underrated! Their homemade pies are AMAZING! Their food is also pretty good. I’ve eaten here several times. My only complaint is that the service is usually pretty slow.

I was the only one out of 3 who really enjoyed my food. I had the Greek salad and really nothing bad I could say about it. It was really good! And huge! My husband and daughter tho weren’t really impressed with their food. I agree that wine here by the glass is way over priced for their small establishment. Should be priced more in the $ 6-$ 7 range. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive.

Our first visit was very pleasant! A sunny Sunday morning in downtown Parker. We both had eggs and the food was good. It came with fresh fruit so I’m too full for any of their delicious sounding/looking desserts! We will be back! We need more places like this in Parker. Lovely outdoor tables under the trees. They had both breakfast and lunch menus in Sunday.

I brought my parents here to have pie for my Dad’s birthday. It was great! They each had a slice of coconut custard pie and I had peach pie a la mode. Both were excellent. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

This was our first visit to The Texas Diner & Pie Company which was our last stop on the Parker Wine Walk — and we LOVED it! This is a downtown hole in the wall restaurant with indoor and patio seating — on a tree lined downtown side street. The ambiance is quaint and relaxing! They were crowded because of the wine walk but the service was still friendly and they made you feel at home — we ordered the guacamole & chips and the buffalo wings — this is the best guacamole we have found so far in Colorado! The wings were delicious but are bone in — I prefer mine boneless. We ordered pie — because how could we not? The cherry was outstanding and the coconut was delicious — the pie crust was outstanding and I’d like to get that recipe! They also served the best wine of the night! We will definitely be back for breakfast and try the biscuits and gravy!

This restaurant was a nice surprise. The food is homemade and fresh and is outstanding. I feared their focus was just on the pie but I am excited to go back and try more of their lunch items because it was truly great. The service is very good as well, may be a little slow for how small the place is but very friendly. Only complaint I have is the seating. The inside of the restaurant is very small, so when it is busy it should be expected to be packed, but when we were there we were alone for a bit until 2 more couples came in. For some reason they were literally seated at the two closest tables to us. It was so tight for no reason that I needed to move my table for one of the people to sit down without our chairs resting on each other. I hope to be back because the food was great, but fear this happening again, which I will not deal with again.

Overall I was unfortunately disappointed by this place. Its a great place to sit and eat and relax outside, especially if there is a band playing, but that doesn’t quite make up for the food. It was just bland and edible, but not as good as I was hoping. The best part of the meal were the chips and guacamole we ordered. Their fries have a very burnt taste to them that I didn’t enjoy. I also think the price of wine there is a little high for what this place is. They charge what I pay at a reasonably high end place for a glass of wine, and this place just doesn’t have that feel. Its still a place I’d go back to, to enjoy the area, but I’m not sure about getting food.

Went today for the first time and was extremely disappointed. The staff was not very friendly at all. No one offered to get us high chairs for our little ones or offered a place to park our stroller. So, we got some chairs ourselves and settled in and it took a long time for our waitress to come. I waitressed many years in the past and I don’t often say service is bad, but it certainly was this time. We ordered«green chile» cheese fries and they were awful. Their«green chile» appeared to be diced canned chiles warmed with some diced onion. No flavor. No heat. Horrible. We are from NM and we know green chile and this was about as far away from«green chile» as you can get. Waitress never came back to ask how it was. She didn’t care when she came back and picked up our ¾ full plate. We were going to have pie after but we’re so disappointed with the food and service we immediately asked for our check. Again, she never asked why or if things were ok. We are so bummed because we have heard good things about the place and it’s close to our house and we rarely get out to try new places. Also, we could here a male server loudly complaining behind the kitchen door about his 9 top he got outside and it really annoyed me, that’s sever 101 kids, don’t ever let customers hear you complain. Unprofessional to say the least. Bummed.

Absolutely love this place! Their salads are fantastic. The buffalo chicken salad is my favorite. The Homemade bleu cheese dressing is to die for. They are also one of the few dog-friendly outdoor patios(they even have a doggy water bowl). It’s great bringing my pup there for a meal as she’s often traveling with me. The pies are world class(all homemade). Try the French Silk it’s delish! Service is always fantastic. The servers are friendly, personable, and knowledgable about the menu and history behind the restaurant.

Came back to try more food on the menu. I ate and Recommend: Honey muster dressing, blue cheese dressing, the bison burger is awesome we added blue cheese and made it even better. The buffalo chickens sandwich is amazing and we also had the chicken fried steak and catfish poboy which are good. Yes I just ate all these and love it all. On to dessert. The strawberry pie, coconut pie, cinnamon roll, and lemon bar are all great!!! If you want brisket come early. I will be back soon to try the brisket. Great quiet location, great service. Love this place.

We had a great afternoon out on the patio under a giant tree, eating some delicious food. The best things we tried were the bison burger and buffalo chicken sandwich. The blue cheese dressing is the BEST. Yummy! There were large chunks of blue cheese. We also liked the fries. The desserts were all great. We tried 5 different things. My favorite was the strawberry pie and the pecan pie. I also loved the cinnamon role. The service was awesome. Such a great waitress. We loved it and will be back.

Being from Texas most of my life, it’s always great to find a place that reminds me of home. I enjoyed the chicken fried chicken, half and half tee, and a slice of French silk pie to top of the great lunch. The weather was perfect for lunch on the patio under the shade trees. This is a place to spend time and enjoy. Don’t rush. Thank you Unilocalers for the recommendation.

The service was good. We had the green chile cheese fries which were probably the best part of the meal. We then ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes had absolutely NOFLAVOR what so ever! The gravy also had NOFLAVOR. The chicken fried steak also had no flavor. Ordered the peach pie and that was good. I don’t know if I would come back.

Stopped in for breakfast, really wanted to like this place, didn’t. Food was bland and we were the only two people in the place and still the service was, well let’s just say sub par. We won’t be back.

We had a great meal here, waiter was attentive and funny, food was good, and the service was great. I wish I could go 4 ½ stars actually. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich, which was tasty. My son had the shrimp po boy and was also impressed. It’s american comfort food, so nothing fancy, but they cooked up a great«down home» meal. So, if it was just the diner, it’s probably a 3 – 3 ½, but those pies… The waiter convinced us to have dessert(we rarely do) and man was he right. I had some of the best cherry pie a la mode I have ever eaten. All the pies are supposedly baked from scratch on premises and I would go back just for dessert. My son had orange slice pie(yes the candies), in their pie shake with vanilla ice cream(think orangecicle bar) and he talked about all night. Over all, great place to keep it local, eat good Americana food, and dine on delicious pie like your grandma made. We will be back…
