This store is HOT. Not only is it extremely toasty, but it has a nearly overwhelming flowery/perfumey scent. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to throw up or pass out. Fortunately, I chose to do neither. Bittersweet Hollow is a unique little gift shop – you can find jewelry, handbags, lotions and perfumes, greeting cards and a gorgeous line of baby clothes and bedroom décor. I find this to be a fantastic place to buy quirky little birthday or baby shower gifts. Some things can be a bit on the pricey side, but it’s not too bad. Now if only they’d turn down the heat…

WOW. Should people get out and experience a little Missouri-suburb action by way of neighboring Parkville? YYEESS(that’s a fatty yes). If funky home décor, eclectic knick-knacks and Vera Bradley purses can all make sense in your life, you’re in for a mighty fine time at BH. I even find it fittingly named too. Bittersweet Hollow. It’s almost a time warp coming into Parkville and then to a shop like Bittersweet; as if by some strange and chance encounter with a Johnny Depp character is on the horizon. Bittersweet is filled with bright colors, jewelry and earthy craftware that conjures up feelings of lowly simplicity while being totally eccentric. A+ in my book! Halloween trinkets and décor were there indicating its love for crafty seasonal/holiday merchandise. The aroma was intoxicating. I’m not sure if I loved or simply was drunk off its toxins, but it gave me a homey and organic/woody feeling that kept Alex(girl name) and I browsing. Alex bought a scarf that in her words, «was too great to pass up.» I’m thinking, the toxins must have got to her. Either case, it was pretty cute in all its shiny, Indianesque glory. Last key point here. There’s no shortage of merchandise. You’ll find clothes, jewelry, home décor, and even stuff for the kiddies. I got a good laugh out of «Fancy Pals.» Your youngster will be in Paris Hilton company with their very own pet in a carrier. Of course, these are the stuffed kind so that’s definitely more tolerable in my book.
