History

Established in 2004.

With 16 years of experience in the tire industry, Johnny dreamed of owning his own business so he chose to open the business that he knows best tires. Johnny & Denise Nelson started Johnny R Nelson Tire, Inc. on April 24, 2004. Denise sat in front of the shop with a pad of paper and pencil and wrote down all the name and phone numbers on the side of commercial vehicles. Then made up flyers with location, hours and services that the business has to offer. After calling the numbers to get there fax number she faxed the flyers with credit applications. We then started in the farm, agriculture, OTR, and passenger. As the business grew we hired their son Jason Nelson, we are truly family owned and operated, we strive and take pride in our customer service. Business Owner

Johnny was born in Union City and moved to Bradenton Florida when he was 5 years old. He worked at several places until he found Callaghan Tire. He worked for Callaghan Tire in Bradenton for 16 years. He is very proud and thankful that Callaghan gave him an opportunity. He learned a lot and became service manager for them. He made lots of friends some of which he still considers like family. Them and Callaghan Tire are what made him who he is today. He married his wife Denise in 1991. He is a proud father of four children, two boys and two girls. In April 2004, with the support & help of his wife together they opened Johnny R Nelson Tire, Inc. Johnny and Denise work side by side everyday along with Johnny’s oldest son Jason. He not only has a business in Parrish he is also a resident. He is a man of his word. He is a firm believer that your word is your bond & treat people the way you want to be treated.
