Nick and Ashley are amazing ! Nick gave me a great color — exactly how I wanted it. I’m very picky and never happy with my color, first time I walked out completely satisfied. Nick takes the time to really listen to what you want.
Had a haircut with Ashley and was also very happy ! She is conservative in her approach and gave me great styling tips !!
Salon has a great ambiance! I’m glad I found this place !!

Brick & Mirror is the spot! Great people and tremendous service. Been going to George for 10 years, since the original Salon George V. Been referring everyone I know there for years and will continue to. Men and women, boys and girls, great spot for anyone. Would definitely recommend it!

I am so incredibly happy with my color by Nick!!! I’ve had so many compliments on it. I brought in a picture of what I wanted and he matched it identically — have honestly never had that happen before! I can’t believe I never knew of this place. Nick was absolutely amazing and I will be forever coming to him!

I found this salon on Unilocal.All the reviews were positive so I decided to give it a try. I called for an appointment and was able to get in the same day. The receptionist was just as nice in person. I met my stylist Agata who listened as I explained what I wanted. I’ve been trying to grow out a pixie but not ready to commit to long hair. She was able to give me the cut I wanted and showed me different styling options. Besides being a great stylist she’s warm and friendly. I highly recommend this salon. You won’t be disappointed

My first Unilocal review… I moved to NJ earlier this yr and I usually get my hair cut and colored in the city. I had recently gotten a really bad cut and was desperate to get it fixed asap and came across Brick and Mirror on Unilocal.Thanks to social media (Instagram and Facebook), the salon seemed promising and booked an appt with Ashley. I called in the am and was able to get an appt on the same day. While I was on my way there, 15 mins before my appt, I received a msg from the receptionist asking to move back my appt 45 mins. I arrived right on time and the receptionist was apologetic and they gave me a complimentary mask while I waited for Ashley to finish up with another client.
About 20 mins later, Ashley greeted me, apologized for the wait and rinsed off the mask. Once I got into the chair, she asked what type of cut I was looking for and I explained what I did not like about my recent cut and also that I needed a very low maintenance cut. I wanted to keep the length but was open to going shorter if necessary to correct the choppy blunt layers I had. She opted for a razor cut.
45 mins later, I couldn’t be happier with the results. She gave me the exact cut and style I was looking for — a textured lob. Of course, the true test is when you wash and try to style yourself at home and I’m still loving it! My hair looks healthier since the layers fall into place nicely, it’s super easy to style and looks great even when I just wash, brush and air dry.
The price was a little more than I’m used to spending on a hair cut ($ 95) but Ashley did a wonderful job and you can tell she really knows what’s she’s doing. I will be going back and am excited that I found a salon so close to home and no longer need to make a special trip to the city.

Found this gem by all the reviews and great social media. Went in with an ombré gone bad and Nick was able to work his magic and give me an amazing color correction to exactly what I was looking for. I called in a panic as a new client and they were able to squeeze me right in on a busy Saturday (before the holidays also). Nick listened and fully understood what I wanted done, which was not something simple that any salon can do well, trust me. As soon as he started working on my hair I felt like I was in great hands with someone who really knows what their doing. I was there for 5 hours, the process was long– but nick was patient with me and gave me his FULL attention from start to finish. He explained what he was doing and why throughout the whole process, which was so helpful. Definitely found my new hair stylist !

I’m new to New Jersey and have been driving down to Queens, NY every couple of months for a haircut because I couldn’t part with my hair stylist who has been cutting and coloring my hair for over 10 years— till I found this gem. Very cool and laid back atmosphere. Nick did an amazing job with my color and cut. Sorry NY, you are no longer needed.

I have nothing but great things to say about this salon and stylist Nick. I walked in with blonde hair and came out with the color I asked for. He knew the right way to achieve the look I was going for and that no other stylist has done to my hair before. Nick is a pleasure to talk to. I had a great experience and can’t wait to go back!

Ashley, one of the salon owners is the best hairstylist I ever had!!! She cuts my hair in a way it just falls in place and I don’t have much to do with it. Ashley is one of the rare hairstylists that listens very carefully to the client needs and addresses them. She styles my hair perfectly every time and always has suggestions if I ask for them.
The salon looks really modern and stylish. It had been recently renovated and it looks fresh and clean.
The products used at the salon are more natural that in most salons. I really like that their color products have less ammonia than most salon products.

This salon is second to none simply because of the amazing people that own/​work here! The staff if welcoming and the salon is inviting, posh and upbeat! Nick, who does my hair is beyond creative and on top of all of the latest trends, techniques and products! This combined with Nicks awesome personality, makes the entire experience fun and exciting!!! I find myself counting down the weeks to get my hair done and recommend this salon to any and everyone looking for their forever hair home!!!

I have been to so many salons in the area. I have finally found one that is not only beautiful but the whole staff makes me feel welcome. Nick did my my hair, and listened to everything I wanted and then did exactly what we spoke about. He’s the best hair dresser I’ve ever met. I won’t trust anyone else with my cut or color again! I am so impressed with the Brick and Mirror Beauty Bar! Today was my first time here, and the staff was phenomenal. Nick colored, or should I say transformed, my hair into my favorite color it has ever been. A true master at his craft. Don’t hesitate, this place is amazing.

Where should I begin, 4 years ago I was diagnosed with cancer, the first thing you do is lose your hair. I have decided to cut my hair very short before it is all gone. Ashley worked at the different salon at that time. My daughter and I came late at night not knowing Ashley at all.
While she was cutting my hair my daughter and I got very emotional and Ashley cried with us. She became a part of my family at this moment. I survived the terrible disease and thanks to Ashley, who is the one of the owners of the salon have the hottest hair cut. Thank you my love, my supporter and friend for being there for me.

Thank you Brick and Mirror! In town on business and needed an emergency trim (aka — fix a bad bang job). They went out of their way to squeeze me in, fixed my bangs and even educated me on the best way to style them. I know we tend to become attached to our own hairdressers, but Brick & Mirror was a great experience. After recently moving to this area, I was looking for a new hair salon. Brick and Mirror is exactly what I was looking for. The stylists are professional and experienced. I have been getting my hair done by Ashley who is fantastic, and Jami did my makeup for my bridal shower, in which I received a ton of compliments. Additionally, My fiancé came in for a haircut before our wedding and Nick did an amazing job. Definitely recommend this salon!

Ashley has been cutting my hair for years, so of course I followed her when she opened her own salon this year. I refuse to let anyone else touch my head. She’s truly an artist and I constantly get asked who cuts my hair. I’ve never had a haircut I didn’t love from her (and I’m extremely picky with my hair). She’s doing my hair for my wedding as well and I’m very confident that it’s gonna be amazing!
