Annie Barseghian, MD

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Barseghian’s for several years now, and several locations. Which should say something! Normally, I have little patience waiting for doctors, but here’s the bottom line… especially for all you «haters». If your doctor walked in and began YOUR exam on time but abruptly stopped so as to attend to the next patient, I would think you might be a little pissed… NO? So, when doctors have those patients who are late, and screw up the rest of the patient’s appointments, maybe you can cut the doctors a little slack and have faith that they will spend sufficient time with you when it’s your turn!

As a first time patient of Dr. Barseghian, I had a great experience. Will definitely recommend her. She has a friendly staff and her bedside manners were long enough for me to discuss my concerns and get answers

I am a new patient of Dr. Barseghian after being a long-​time patient of Dr. McDonald who changed to a «concierge» practice. Very disappointing because both my wife and I thought she was great but neither of us have anything like chronic issues that require and would justify paying a concierge fee (we felt). She recommended her colleague Dr. Barseghian and I set up and appointment to get a sea sickness patch.
I came in and did indeed wait a fairly long time after my appointment time (like 30 minutes or so) which in my experience isn’t all that uncommon in the medical field. My basic rule is this: does she spend enough time with me and show enough interest in me to explain why she takes so long with other clients and to warrant the wait? The answer is «yes» in this case.
Dr. Barseghian spent a great deal of time getting to know me and learning about my history with Dr. McDonald. She helped me set up appropriate «new patient» measures to get a baseline in addition to what she got from Dr. McDonald, she took time to answer each of my geeky engineer questions about the drug, drug combinations/​interactions, etc.; more than was necessary for merely getting a seasickness patch.
The bottom line is this, I feel I need to be a patient, patient. if the doctor is not merely a bad scheduler or lazy but is really making an effort to be a good personal physician, I can afford to be at least as generous with my waiting time as the physician is with their patient time.
I think she’s great so far and plan to continue going to see her.

Frankly, I’m being kind by offering 1 star. This review should really contain invisible stars because it’s as if the visit never happened.
This morning, I called the office looking for another doctor researched via Unilocal and favored due to proximity. She ended up being a concierge doctor, not one that would suit my needs. I asked for a recommendation for a more traditional doctor. I was referred to Dr Annie Barseghian. The receptionist was extremely helpful and assisted me with making an appointment to see Dr Barseghian later in the day to check my respiratory system for any possible infections.
I was emailed the pre-​work forms to complete and bring along. I complete the forms in advance and arrive to my appointment promptly at 230. I’m the only patient in the waiting room and it really sounded like the only patient in the office period. 245, I ask how much longer until I see someone and they say now, so I go back and check vitals etc. No more than 5 – 6 mins. I waited another 30 mins and left. No one came to see me. The entire visit was a waste of my day. Not to mention they do not offer parking validation which charged by increments of 20 mins.
45 mins and no sign of Dr Barseghian for a new patient… Definitely can see why I was the only patient in her medical office during a high activity flu season.
Other reviews stated complications with long wait times, I should’ve done more research. As I was walking out, I see what looks like Dr Barseghian (by comparing to google images) sitting in a room typing on a laptop with the person who took my vitals. They look over as I walk pass, no reaction.
