History

Established in 1952.

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic School was established in 1952 in the beautiful foothills of Pasadena, with Reverend Timothy Crean as the first pastor. Assumption School was blessed with the presence of the Sisters of the Holy Child Jesus for over twenty-​four years. The school is now run by lay principals and faculty who are ready to carry on the mission and legacy of the Sisters. ABVM is a school that is distinguished by its living faith, its love of children, its passion for learning and warm supportive community.
