Baldwin and Christopher Marchack, DDS

I had a great dental visit. Dr. Chris Marchack is very kind and patient. I was a little anxoius. Amber, the assistant and Dr. Chris made me feel at ease. Dr. Marchack was painless. The whole staff is friendly and was happy to answer all my questions.
Pasadena Prosthetics is a professional state of the art practice. I would highly. recommend this office.

I’ve been going to Dr. Chris Marchack for about four years. He and his father, Dr. Baldwin Marchack, have a diverse practice, from every day dental care to cosmetic dentistry and very complex dental repairs and restorations.
The staff here stands out for their technical skills and talent, but also for their compassion and ability to put you at ease. They make sure that you are comfortable as they work, and will adjust their work if you feel stressed. In professions that deal with people, the gathering of all these accomplished staff in one office is rare.
The office is well laid out and the chairs and equipment are new and up to date. Treatment options and costs are clearly itemized and discussed. Dr. Chris takes considerable care to make sure that you understand the options, the length of time it will take and the cost. I found that all my questions were answered by the end of our conversations about the work to be done.
I’ve found Dr. Chris to be empathetic and knowledgeable in his analyses, treatments, and understanding the needs of patients. There is a great deal of artistry in creating replacements for teeth that match a patient’s appearance and personality. The quality of work is very high and that, in turn, gives you confidence as a patient.
One thing I have learned from this office is that everyone working there is involved in your care: the front office admin staff, who are the public face of the office; the dental hygienists, who keep your teeth clean and are the early warning system; the technical staff of artists and sculptors who fabricate the crowns and bridges, and Dr. Chris and his assistants. They have all worked together a long time and their ease with each other is reflected in their treatment of patients.
It’s a cheerful, light filled office, and a pleasant place to go.

I’ve been seeing Dr B. Marchack for 2 years now, after a long hiatus from the dentist and have to say that I actually enjoy it. The people there are very friendly and professional and do darn fine work. if you’re in Pasadena and looking for a dentist, definitely give them a try. And tell em Tod sent ya!!!

I am a dentist-​phobe. Even a regular cleaning can have me knotted up. My dental care has been under Dr. Chris Marchak and his staff for fourteen years. I’ve had five crowns and many expert cleanings by Anna, one of the hygienists. Dr. Marchak manages to calm my fears, give me painless procedures and be entirely reasonable in his advice for what I need, should have or best forgo. I highly recommend this dental office.

Seven years ago I began the search for a new dentist. Asking friends who, like myself, needed or has had lots of dental work my interview process was narrowed to 1 general dentist and 3 prosthodontists. Over the years I’ve lost much of the enamel on my teeth resulting in sometimes painful sensitivity. Dr. Chris Marchak was the last of the 4 dentists /​prosthodontists that I interviewed and how lucky I was that a friend had recommended him. Dr. Marchak was the only one who immediately recognized the cause of the enamel erosion, Acid Reflux, and before treating my teeth Dr. Marchak said the cause needed to be treated first.
This not only told me about Dr. Marchak’s knowledge but also of his integrity. Over the years Dr Marchak and I have worked together to both save and restore my teeth with a long term plan. Dr. Marchak is one of the most patient professionals I’ve ever worked with, he is thorough in his explanations, including both causes and results, while providing options.
I was shocked to read S H’s review and would be surprised if there’s more to the story than on the surface.
Dr. Marchak’s work is impeccable, the office professional and is highly recommend.

Dr. Chris is a very knowledgeable dentist who did a fantastic job replacing my crown that was originally done by another dentist. My crown fits great!!! The staff is also very helpful and friendly.

I hate to write a bad review but you may want to think twice about Christopher Marshack. I went to him because he has an in house lab, had great before and after pictures on his website and was recommended by a dentist who bought my old dentist’s office. (My old dentist left me with an unfinished crown and a broken temporary)
On my second visit with Dr Marshack, he said I needed three additional crowns on top of the three I came in for, we are talking many thousands. A second opinion reveled the additional three were unnecessary and there were more conservative, less costly treatment options available.
He charges for temporaries and wanted to make two for the same tooth (rational — that an implant needs special planning that would require two) naturally I would have to pay for both costing hundreds each.
When he made the first front tooth temporary, on my third visit, it was made too small, short and gray — looked awful — worse than what I came in with! When I was not happy, instead of trying to fix it or remake it, he blamed the dark color on the silver abutment of the implant (also implied my implant was inferior) and he blamed the shortness, on my bite. I was completely blindsided when he gave me the option of keeping the short gray temporary or leaving with the old, broken, crooked temporary and going to a different prosthodontist. I chose the latter. Though Dr. Marshack did not charge for the gray temporary, I was charged exam fees, X-​rays and for initial office visits.
I do want to thank Dr. Marshack for giving me the wise option of going to someone else who might better meet my expectations. Even though I was out several hundred, it was worth it. I went to a board certified prosthodontist who makes amazing undetectable temporaries, beautiful crowns, is professional and did the work with one temporary that was included in the cost of the crown. He is humble, (not in a flashy office), affordable — takes insurance and is an amazing artist. Yes they are out there. Thank you Dr. Marshack for recommending I see someone else.
