I wish the rating went higher… I’d give Tirzah 100 stars!!! About a year about I dared to get a traditional wax brazilian. It was a total mistake. It hurt like heck! I was only able to get Recently, while planning a vacation, I decided to reconsider getting a brazilian because I was going to see an «old friend.» After some research, I found Bare Green Sugar. Tirzah was amazing. I will never go back to traditional waxing again! Sugar me any day of the week! It was not painful at all and Tirzah and I spoke the entire time, making the experience so relaxing. Oh, and Tirzah has this amazing product that helps moisturize the affected areas. Make your appointment as soon as possible… you will not regret it.

Tirzah is my hero. She works her magic [nearly painless] in a wonderfully relaxing environment and is easy to talk to. If you’ve never tried sugaring and hate the alternatives, you must come here!

HIGHLY RECCOMEND. LESS PAINFUL method of hair removal. I can carry a conversation during treatments (due to regular appointments every 4 – 7 weeks, hair regrowth is finer and does not grow back as fast). Have been a client of Tirzah for years for Brazilian, face and brows. Was recommended by a friend and have referred my friends as well. Tirzah is also a trained esthetician so pays close attention to the appearance of your skin and how it will react. My skin always looks AMAZINGLY smooth, NEVER IRRITATED AFTER and may plan to go out for an event that same day versus the past hair removal method where I had red irritated bumps sometimes slight bleed due to strips and need to schedule my hair removal a fews days before an event to wait for irritation to resolve. Also feels like a spa treatment each visit because Tirzah applies a mud mask after sugaring. Always very professional and will consult with you before your first treatment of any your special skin needs.

Tirzah is the HOMIE! Best Brazilian I’ve ever had and she makes it the most comfortable/​enjoyable experience! She makes you feel like you’re just hanging out with a friend and she is honestly worth every penny! If you don’t go to her you’re making a mistake!

After reading wonderful Unilocal reviews, I scheduled a full Brazilian and eyebrow sugaring online. I’m an Internet person so being able to do this was a huge plus! Because I was a first time customer, Tirzah emailed me to make sure I didn’t have any questions prior to my appointment (awesome) and she got back to me within hours to answer the question I had regarding hair length for a first time visit (awesomer).
Tirzah leases her space from Acu Spa, which is on the second floor of the Colonnade on Lake Avenue. I arrived a few minutes early (I’m a very punctual person who tends to run early) and waited in the dark little cave like area for Tirzah to come out and get me.
Getting my hair removed ‘down there’ wasn’t pain-​free by any means but that’s because it was only my 3^rd time having it done and I had just finished my period. A full Brazilian wound up being a little more than I could handle pain wise so we settled for a high bikini that we will finish up on my next visit at the end of this month. Never the less, she was quite meticulous about making sure ALL of the hairs are gone. She was out of the special mud other Unilocalers talked about to soothe the area, but I did get treated with the Dead Sea salt to prevent ingrown hairs. She also gave me a coconut oil mixture and some Olive Gold to apply to the area during the next few days to keep it moisturized.
Now onto the eyebrows. I’m the kind of person who has high standards when it comes to eyebrows. I feel put together when my brows are perfect and I’m more than a little OCD about stray brow hairs. Tirzah totally understand my need for shaped but not scary brows. Almost 3 weeks out and my brows still look wonderful, I notice that they’re shaped and done but no one else does unless I bring it up.

First experiences elsewhere:
My first brazilian was done using hard purple wax and it was incredibly painful-​I did not think I was going to get a brazilian ever again, but then I heard about sugaring. I went to a place in Burbank and it was also very painful! I thought since I liked the concept I would try somebody else-​that is when I found Tirzah on Unilocal (roughly a year and a half ago).
Results:
I could not believe the difference. It was hardly painful and Tirzah is very nice to talk to during this kind of experience, it just seems natural.
Overall:
I highly suggest you experience her comfortable, professional, clean, spa treatment. She is delivers everything a person would care about in this business.

I found Tirzah through Unilocal when she was working at Hair by Cesare in Pasadena. She was a Life Saver. I had been a religious waxer for years– but decided to try sugaring after getting a particularly heinous burn from waxing. Well let me say: I will NEVER EVER return to waxing. Not only is the pain factor WAY less, but the hair actually does grow back thinner and sparser. The sugar material only grabs onto the hair– not your skin, so you dont get that horrid «RIP» sound when she pulls the hair off. Tirzah is very sweet and manages to make you feel comfortable even when you’re laying down without pants on! She has a ton of knowledge about skin care and homeopathic health remedies.
Two side notes: The process does take a lot longer than waxing (45 minute to 1 hour for a brazilian) but she includes a skin soothing mud mask, which honestly, makes you feel like your hooha just had a facial. Very indulgent. Also, sugaring is expensive. $ 80 for a touch up is on the higher end of the spectrum for hair removal. BUT the difference was just so amazing, so I will continue to sugar despite the higher price tag. SO worth it.

First of all, Unilocal is amazing. What did we do before it?
Thanks to Unilocal I found this gem of a person, Tirzah. I’m pretty new to the hair-​ripping world, so I don’t have much to compare the actual sugaring to. But I do know & understand that feeling of awkwardness. And really, is there anything more awkward than hanging around, naked from the waist down, in front of a stranger who isn’t obligated by law or nature to love you?
Needless to say, it must take a specific type of person to successfully operate a hair removal business, and still be well-​liked in the end. Tirzah is that person, times 100. As soon as we got the pronunciation of our names out of the way, it was like meeting up with a longtime friend; your hilarious longtime friend, who seems to have an antidote for everything plaguing you.
The sugaring portion wasn’t terrible at all — this was only my 2^nd experience. (I’d gone to another place that offered sugaring a few weeks prior, and I’d never been waxed before that) Sure, it stung in certain areas, but it was a million times easier than my 1^st time and therefore, less painful. My guess is, if you’ve been waxed before (with hot wax), sugaring might be a walk in the park because the sugar doesn’t attach to your skin, it attaches to the hair. The stinging stops within a couple of seconds, so you won’t find yourself leaving feeling like your crotch is on fire.
Compared to my 1^st sugaring experience, Tirzah was very gentle and she took her time. I didn’t feel like she was in a rush to get me out. She also gave me great skin care suggestions, which I really appreciated. After she was done with the sugaring, she cleaned the area and applied this cooling, relaxing mud mask.
As for the salon/​space Tirzah works in, it’s very comfortable & clean. And the staff there is really sweet. Overall, my experience was pretty terrific. Go forth and be sugared.

Sugaring with Tirzah is always a great experience! She takes her time to make your eyebrows and lip area perfect and makes recommendations for continued care. I have followed Tirzah to her new location and am very pleased at the personalized treatment I continue receiving. Your skin feels smooth and calming after hair removal and there is no redness. Once you sugar… there is no going back to wax!

This was SWEET!!! Having no idea what to expect from my treatment, I was pleasantly surprised. Tirzah uses this Sugar that is warm and sticks to your hair like a hot glue, quickly removing hairs with precision, she worked her magic. I had a nose and ear treatment… yes old men like me get ear hair. I am excited to return for some other types of treatment. The whole experience was soothing and relaxing in my book. Maybe next time I’ll go Brazilian… ok maybe not but I had to give that visual.

I have always been a waxer, but recently I was intrigued by sugaring. I heard it was less painful than waxing… and a lot gentler to the skin! And the rumors are true! I will never go back to waxing! Tirzah is really good at what she does. She is meticulous… she never misses anything. She also maintains a nice balance between creating a relaxing atmosphere and getting the job done (right)!! I get the brazilian, and I love it. Smooth, soft, and never an ingrown hair. She puts this mud mask on you when she has finished to soothe the skin. You walk out feeling like a million gorgeous bucks… not like you’ve just been accosted. She’s done my eyebrows as well. She’s great at shaping brows. And what a lovely person. Sincere and genuine. I really cannot say enough about great things about her and her Bare Green Sugar. Call her now!!!

My experience was amazing!!! Tirzah was so nice and sweet, she made me feel very comfortable. I initially called for an eyebrows and lip service but decided to go all the way and get the Brazilian. The setting was comfortable and relaxing. Tirzah took her time, this was my first time sugaring and I must admit some areas were more painful than others. I punked out and did not go all the way (I settled for the basic) but I look forward to our 4 week appointment. She gave me some basic education: like the importance of moisturizing the area that will be sugared to prevent the pain that comes with pulling off the dead skin. She also fixed my messed up eyebrows (that I had just had done one day prior at Ziba’s). My eyebrows are beautiful now. So I will continue to go back every 4 weeks for a brow/​lip and Brazilian service.
My husband is amazed and jealous, he wants his face to be this smooth, I am thinking about setting him up an appointment next.
Price: I feel that she is reasonably priced, this is not some quickie wax service where 4 strips and its done. You can tell by how smooth the area becomes that the hair follicle was completely removed. I have a huge problem with ingrown hairs, so I will see what happens. At first I felt that $ 40 was a lot to pay for eyebrows, but to have some one take time, look at your face and shape your eyebrows perfectly, I will continue to pay that price.
Next…I want to have her over for a sugaring party (eyebrows/​lips), that will be fun.

Tirzaha s great! She was able to make my first experience come back for more. I now have been going to her for 4 years. I tell all my friends and family how wonderful she is and how unique her services are. Every visit is always well worth it.

Great alternative to waxing. I have been waxing for a long time and stumbled upon Bare Green Sugar when I was going on vacation and needed a same day appointment. Tirzah was very accommodating, but most importantly, she is skilled at her trade and take great pride in the sugaring art. She pays close attention to detail and maintains a very clean working environment. I now have switched over to sugaring, because it’s just better, and because the discomfort is minimal compared to the agony of a brazilian.

I wanted to write this as I myself had no idea what Sugaring was until a friend told me to try it. Not a big fan of having things done to my face. Tirzah was great. Took her time, worked smoothly and gently and I was able to walk out and go right back to work. No redness or irritation from the sugaring process.
Highly recommend it if you have sensitive skin, and need some facial hair removed. Love my eyebrows now and will head back in soon for more.

If you prefer the Telly Savalas look like me, do yourself a favor and you will be thanking me for the rest of your natural born life! Sugaring is where it’s at, waxing is so… well. it’s just old school. First off, my skin is pathetically sensitive. Sugaring is totally natural, isn’t heated like wax and does the job so much cleaner and nicer than wax! Think about it, no more 3^rd degree burns on your eyebrows or your hoo-​ha!
Tirzah is amazing, she’s really sweet and made me feel right at ease the second I started talking to her. She’s also a perfectionist ladies, she will leave no hair untouched! If you want to just run in and run out, don’t bother because she makes it a spa experience to enjoy. Last weekend I got sugared and decided to spoil myself with a facial after from Tirzah… My face still feels like a babies ass and I’m 41 years old people! Trust me because if you bothered to read any of my other reviews, you’ll see I’m not afraid to speak my mind about my experiences around LA.
Added bonus is her services are located inside my hair stylist salon, Hair By Cesare and he’s the only person I trust to touch my lovely long blonde locks!

Tirzah is wonderful! I really hate waxing, because it is so painful and not only is the sugaring process less painful and less violent, but Tirzah has a very calming energy, which makes a huge difference! Another benefit to sugaring is that the hair grows back much slower and much finer than after waxing!
Tirzah is very knowledgeable about the sugaring process and the materials used and can answer any of your questions.
Making appointments is easy and she is willing to work around your schedule.
I strongly suggest trying this… one time and you will be hooked! I was!!!
