Blueprint LSAT Preparation

I had a great experience with the in-​classroom instruction from Blueprint. The instructor, Kyle Gehrmann, is knowledgeable and made the class interesting. Most importantly, I saw a huge jump in my score over the course of the class. The strategies and tips Blueprint provides are very helpful in tackling the LSAT. I would highly recommend Blueprint to anyone considering to take the LSAT. It is well worth the investment and the instructors make studying for the LSAT enjoyable.

Blueprint is great and I think what puts Blueprint over the top was my instructor, Alex Connolly. Alex knows the LSAT and he can explain it, but what makes Alex stand out in my mind is his genuine concern and compassion for his student’s success on the test and the emotional support he provided all of us.
About a month into the course, after taking about 3 practice tests, my scores weren’t really increasing. I had improved in some areas, but overall, I didn’t feel like I was moving forward. I felt hopeless and discouraged. I trust the Blueprint method, so I attributed my plateau to my own doing. My instructor, Alex Connolly, made time outside of class to meet with me. I tried to back out of meeting with him, saying «I don’t want to waste your time because I’m not improving and I’m not sure if meeting with me is going to actually make a difference.» He stayed on the phone with me for about 20-​ish minutes and listened to me vent and provided some great next steps to see how, TOGETHER, we could get my score up. Problem solving with, making space for me to vent and cry and not judging me for it, and still pushing to meet with me was exactly the kind of attention and care I need to be and feel successful.
Alex and I met 1-​on-​1 outside of class after I had a break down and he walked me through 13 logical reasons questions that I had missed on a practice test. He took his time with each question. In total, we spent about two and half to three hours going over this section. In that time, he tried to identify what exactly was my process when answering these questions to see what mistakes I kept making. He practiced with me on how to pause and digest the stimulus in order to anticipate the answer. He never made me feel stupid for not getting this very basic concept. He never seemed bored by me or that I was burdening him by asking him questions. By the end of meeting with him, I felt like it was actually possible for me to increase my score. I was motivated to study more and work harder. I took a practice test a couple days after meeting with Alex and I used the methods we practiced together and I had increased my score by 5 – 6 points. I am so grateful that I was able to have Alex as my instructor.

Alex Connolly was an amazing instructor! I highly recommend taking his course. His way of teaching the Blueprint method really translates to people in such a manner that they are fully open to learn and able to understand his reasonings. Alex cared so much about my individual journey and helped me in anyway possible offering outside tutoring, after class tutoring, Skype,
and/​or email communication. He encouraged me when those darn logic games were eating me up inside and he really pushed me to give it my all! This was my second time taking Blueprint and overall I improved 18 points since last year!!! Alex played a major part in my growth. It wouldn’t have been possible without him and my awesome classmates #teamalex

Alex Connoly was exactly what I hoped for in my instructor; energetic, masterful, approachable, patient, «cool», and only decent at being funny. A real must see!
