History

Established in 2012.

Choice Bodyworks started as a mobile bodywork company and then shifted to adding an office at 1041 E. Green St., Pasadena, CA 91 106 Suite 208. I look to constantly incorporate new techniques and technology in order stay true to my motto: Advanced soft-​tissue therapy!

Hi, I’m Monty Banks, a bodyworker and certified massage therapist specializing in manual manipulation of soft tissue using neuro-​muscular and sports massage therapy along with a few other techniques. I originally got my undergrad in accounting and after working several years in that field I realized I was not doing what I love. I realized that I have always been gifted with my hands and have an insatiable desire for health and wellness.

I also was a collegiate waterpolo all-​America, swim instructor for years, yoga-​enthusiast and loved to study anatomy in my free time. I changed careers and starting researching how to become the best possible soft-​tissue bodyworker that I could be.

I became a bodyworker after having a discussion with a physical therapist about my desire to do hands on healing or manual manipulation of soft tissue. This transformational conversation brought to my attention that the body is a functional unit and should be treated as such!
