Here are the best breakfasts! We visited a lot of restaurants, but at this point, we have found exactly what you were looking for. These pancakes, omelettes and coffee! It’s simple, no frills, but very tasty! The only negative, in the absence of visitors in the morning — very slow service(the impression that we have forgotten about), and the last time somehow unfriendly met.

One of the best meals I have ever had! I had the rack of lamb and it was the best lamb I have ever tasted! Absolutely amazing! I can’t over-state how good it was. Six Stars! The service was as good as the food. The hospitality was simply outstanding. They were great. I can’t wait to go back!!!

Wow what a fantastic place! My husband and I ate here for the first time last night and the menu was themed«The Alps» and holy wow! We started with the potato dumplings and braised duck leg as an appetizer and I have never had duck so tender or so flavorful! Fantastic! For our main course my husband ordered the Veal Schnitzel and I ordered the Angus burger on a house made brioche bun! We were blown away! We haven’t had amazing food like this in a long time. We will definitely be going back, maybe even monthly, so we can try all of the wonderful food and creativity the chef comes up with and changes each month. If I could give 10 stars I would! Bravo Claud & Co! The chef is one of a kind!

All I can say is, Pasadenians must be really desperate for good food if even this place is sitting on 4 ½ stars as we speak. I’m so mad at myself for even giving this place a shot in the 1st place. I’d rather light my money on fire and watch it burn, cuz that would’ve given me so much more satisfaction. If you care about getting good value in return for the food you pay good money for, then read closely. The service Our server was nice and friendly, but not like she didn’t drop the ball on a couple of things either(more on that later). The actual dinner service was SUPER slow. Aside from the 1 appetizer we got 20 about minutes in, we waited close to an hour for the rest of our food when it wasn’t even busy! And I’d be very forgiving it they were good, but they weren’t even close!!! Dish by dish breakdown: Appetizer — tartiflette I’m sure if you image google«tartiflette» and pick the worst looking pic you that found, it’d still look(and taste) better than what we were served. It was basically potato chunks with a few lose pieces of arugula and a sunny side up egg on top. It literally just felt like a mini potato egg skillet with bacon bits jammed in a 5-inch ramekin, but just not as good. There was no sauce, no cheese, or much of anything binding all the ingredients together except for the unfortunate fate of being through that chef’s hands! I could’ve put a better dish together using the buffet line at souplantation in half of the time. Sides A very big problem that our server failed to inform us was, 2 of the side dishes that we ordered already come with our entrée as well! Maybe I should’ve read the menu description better, but I really expected better from the service/server to at least make us aware of the fact that there’s an ABUNDANCE of overlapping ingredients in all of our dishes! I mean just unless I was being a judge on CHOPPED or something, that to me was inexcusably unprofessional! Spaetzle — It was my first time having it, and I can say that if that was about as good as it gets, then spaetzle fucking sux donkey saggy titts! It was like dehydrated minature gnocchi with a B.O. Not to mention there’s already a whole base of it that comes with one of the entrees. Again, I’m super boggled by the fact that our server did not even think to mention this??? Or did the chef just forget to grocery shop for the day??? Mushroom Polenta — A bit too salty, but it was actually the better out of the 3. And trust me, that’s not saying a whole lot by virtue of the overall quality on everything else. Grilled Root Vegetables — I’ll be fair. This wasn’t that bad of a dish, and I would’ve loved to have it except: 1) When I was debating between the spaetzle or the vegetables, I specifically asked our server for her opinion on which one to go with. I said while I’d really like to try the spaetzle, I also feel like some veggies are really needed to kind of balance out the meal. She then told me she’d go with the veggies b’cuz both polenta and spaetzle are pretty starchy/carb dishes, so the veggies would probably be a better choice. Ultimately I decided to take a chance get both after all, cuz you can never have enough good food on the table(if they were in fact good, that is), why not try them all. But it just turned out to be a big mistake. One of our entrees already comes with spaetzle as I mentioned, but the so-called veggies were pretty much potato chunks, squash, yams, beets. Which normally wouldn’t be that big of a problem. And to be fair, it did say on the menu that it was«root vegetables». But if I realized this is what was coming, I’d never order it! If I’m telling you that I want the veggies to balance out the starch, then why would you still recommended a dish packed with it? WTF! 2) Not to mention, the bigger infraction, these ingredients were already used in our appetizer! It was pretty much the same thing just minus the egg and the arugula. DOUBLEWTF! Just what a fucking lame excuse of a dish from a poorly designed/executed menu and a slow as fuck kitchen. You’re telling me this shit takes a full hour to do? Entrees Veal — If baby cows knew this is what they’d be dying for, they’d all be rolling over in their graves right now. It was literally the worst flavored and the driest veal that I ever had the misfortune of putting in my mouth. It was 2 thin/small battered slices of broken down-protein that I would’t even call veal anymore! Not to mention it came on a bed of that spaetzle shit. Again, how did it escape you to mention this when you saw me debating whether or not to order this as a separate side dish? You’re nice, and thank you. But do your fucking job right! This was $ 26, and like seriously I’d rather pay someone to taze me in the balls as I’m laying in a puddle of water. Cuz even that would’ve been less of a torture than to pay for this shit! Fish — was ok. Not great, not horrible like the others. NEVERCOMINGBACKHEREAGAIN

Driving into Pasadena late on a Friday afternoon my wife phoned Claud & Company Eatery. She asked what type menu was active for the month(December). I was driving and couldn’t hear the voice on her phone. But I did hear my wife exclaim, «Oh my God, oh my God!» several times while the menu was read to her. My wife then promptly made us reservations for Claud & Company’s opening time of 5pm. Upon ending the phone call my wife turned to me and excitedly announced, «This month they have a wild game menu! There’s rabbit, venison, wild boar and even a Bone-In Bison Rib Eye for 2!». My wife and I both love to push the envelope of foods so a wild game menu was exciting and perfect. And oh, did we love both the service and our food. We started with an appetizer of Venison Tartare. Our entrées were Rabbit Confit and a Rack of Venison. Our wonderful server Anna recommended a wonderful and fairly priced bottle of red wine, Le Petit Caboche. The meal, wine and service made for a wonderful lifetime memory. Our only regret was that we didn’t try the Bone-In Bison Rib Eye for 2. We were too hungry upon arrival and the Rib Eye takes 40 minutes from time of ordering. So Claud & Company Eatery, THANKS for a wonderful meal and memory!

Super cool place! My husband and I came here on a date a few months ago. I love how their menu changes every month and the food items are very unique and special. I feel that the food quality is excellent and we’d be back whenever we get a chance to go!

It wasn’t Claude & Co.‘s fault, but our party didn’t realize that there would be a certain thematic menu depending on when we visited. Perhaps it would be helpful if the person taking the reservation would clue the caller in on what the theme of that night would be so that the person reserving can determine if that theme night is right for his/her party. We went on 26 Aug 2015, and it happened to be a Lacto Ovo Vegetarian menu. We are all devout Omnivores, & the nice waitress pointed out the only meat that night was the Charcuterie which meant only cured meats of various kinds. Unfortunately our mood turned rather dark as we examined the menu. The only«vegan-vegetarian» option that even interested me was the House made Pappardelle which is wide thick pasta and was in a tomato, roasted cauliflower, caramelized fennel root, spinach, decorated w/a dollop of house made goat milk Ricotta. I have to say that considering it was not a meat sauce, it tasted rather good. This may be a sign that when Claude Beltran & Company does a more omnivore centric menu, it will prove to be delightful. However, at $ 24 for a small plate of pasta in moderate rent Allen Avenue, it sharply reminds me of the small bowl of pasta at Scarpetta for the same price of $ 24 in high rent Beverly Hills. Ambiance is dark w/semi open kitchen, overhead black board menu, multi wine bottle chandelier, Claude & Co. has the contemporary look of many small plates-gastropub settings of the first quarter of the 21st century. Until we go back and definitely ask what the theme of the menu will be that night, I will assign a tentative 3 Unilocal stars.

Service: 5. Food: 2. Menu: 3. Some items were very salty. Others, like rice and beans had none. A shame to waste such nice ingredients. The menu was uninspired. It was quite a surprise to be disappointed in the cooking given the typical fare. Sorry, I won’t return. There are too many other restaurants to risk another off night here.

No I didn’t have an opportunity to try the food — this is strictly a recap of a disappointing experience. It was a Friday evening and my significant other and I were looking for a place to eat. Of course our first place of reference is good olé trusty Unilocal. We happened to come across Claud & Co Eatery — 4.5 stars and nearby in Pasadena with the possibility of a daily changing menu. We were intrigued. The location was no more than a 5 min drive from my place so we decided to swing by to see if we could grab a table. As we arrived(8pm) a lady walked in right before us and she was turned away. We were next and asked if a table for two was available without a reservation(fingers crossed) — I counted 3 – 4 open tables. The person greeting us told us that they were fully booked and that their earliest availability would be 9pm. I was a bit surprised since so many tables were open, but understood how a place with such high ratings probably had many reservations. So we left and began our search for another place to dine since we didn’t want to wait around for an hour. Around 8:15 we hadn’t decided on anything so I figured I would call Claud & Co to make a 9pm reservation just in case we couldn’t decide on another place to dine. Dialed their number; when the phone was answered I asked if I could make a 9pm or earlier reservation for 2 if any spots were open. The response I got was«Oh just come in whenever, a reservation isn’t necessary since we have plenty of open tables» I’m not sure what changed in the 15 minutes since we were turned away, but I thought it was strange to hear two totally different responses. Right after I got off the phone, my SO decided on another place to eat since she didn’t want to take the chance of walking in and getting rejected again in person for some unknown reason. Next time I’ll be sure to call and make a reservation, and of course recommend that anyone else interested in trying this place do the same. Also realized that another Unilocaler had a very similar experience where they were turned away while there were many empty tables.

Went with the BF on my Birthday(June 30th). The menu was the Hawaii, we order the Kalua pork sliders, these were great!!! Too bad they did not have Kalua Pork for a main. My boyfriend order the Ribeye Locomoco and I the Huli huli Chicken. I got to sample the Ribeye it was very good, however my boyfriend said it was too well done, the waitress never ask how he would like it done. The chicken was very good. For dessert we got the classic pineapple upside cake. It was nice and sugary. Can’t wait to see what next month brings.

This was my wife’s and my first time here and we really, really enjoyed ourselves! We loved the simple set up and décor and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. Seriously, one of them asked after my wife’s pregnancy in the sweetest, most sincere way. The food ranged from so-so to excellent. First they gave us a hummus freebee, which was delicious. Next we had the Greek quinoa salad which was salty and yummy. Our mains were a veggie something or other(yummy!) and beef kabob over rice, which was tasty but a bit tough. For dessert we had a lemon olive oil cake with figs(I liked it, my preggy wife not so much) and a Greek yogurt thing over a nut cake. Overall, we will definitely be back and couldn’t recommend this place more highly!

This is a great place for no stress high end dining. Quiet neighborhood right off 210. No busy traffic(if you are local), talented kitchen, very attentive(but not annoying) staff, and a continually unique changing menu. Looking for a nice place to take the Mrs. For dinner? This is it.

I had a family dinner here for my birthday. The place is small, but don’t let the size fool you. The food is awesome. I’m sure you know before you even read my review that Claud & Co changes their menu monthly. This month’s theme was steak. Lucky me! Prime Kansas City Strip Steak($ 32) Medium Rare. Always. The meat was awesome. It was so good that it was a little difficult for me to share with my family. I cut them a little piece. What can I say? It was that good! New England Clam Chowder($ 9) Tons of awesome chunkiness. More soupy than creamy. I’d get this again. So my review may or may not be of help to you because of their menu change. My recommendation is to go with a bigger party and SHARE. A little bit of everything! Awesome place. I’m definitely coming back.

Excellent service, very attentive and friendly. Server let us try a few tastes of different wines so we could make an informed decision on a glass of wine. Very nice, ambient dining room, I like that you can see the kitchen. Prices are WAY too high in my opinion, especially for the neighborhood. Maybe if this was Old Towne. Your main course ranges $ 20 — $ 35 and then sides are $ 7 each(most main courses don’t automatically come with a side dish). I ordered the Turkey with autumnal vegetables and everything(esp gravy) was incredibly salty. Considered sending it back… Turkey was dry and so was the stuffing and veggies. I ordered side of mashed potatoes and those were delicious. My friend ordered that Lamb and that was seasoned much better. Would give this place another chance based on my friend’s dish and the staff and ambience. I just need to save my money ahead of time!

Great food, friendly service, and no corkage fees! A friend took me here earlier this month, because I really wanted to try the«N’awlins» menu for myself(he had already been). The restaurant is quaint and cozy, and it stands out as an upscale option on the corner between a liquor store and a taco stand. Street parking is available, although you might need to go up the street a bit. My friend is a wine expert so we had our own bottles; there is no corkage but they charge a small«glass fee» for the upkeep of their Riedel glassware. They also started us with a tasty little amuse, a crispy fritter topped with remoulade and tomato. We decided to share the crawfish etoufee, the chicken and andouille sausage gumbo, and the Cajun Dry Rub Rib Eye. Everything was delicious and very authentic tasting. As I ate the etoufee, I really felt instant nostalgia and had a sensory memory of eating Cajun food in both Texas and New Orleans. Perfect. The gumbo was thick, hearty, and flavorful. The steak was cooked and seasoned just right, and we both enjoyed the blue cheese nage(thin, liquid-y sauce) that came with it. Oh, dirty rice– I always love you. Claud & Co is a great addition to an area that is largely barren of any nicer dining options. I look forward to see what they have on future menus. Hurry and try to snag a last minute reservation if you want to try the New Orleans menu!

October — New Orleans … or «Nawlins» theme review 2.5 stars. The problem? SALT content. I’m not sure what was going on in the kitchen, but it was NOT good. I didn’t recognize the usual team at the helm in the kitchen… and it showed in the execution. CRABCAKE — practically inedible due to the high salt content. Had it not been for the salt, it would have been a nice dish. The crust on the cake was way too hard/overdone, but once inside, it yielded to a generous amount of(way too salty) crab. GUMBO — this was the best dish of the night, but nothing I’d need to order again. RIBEYE with DIRTYRICE and KALE — the steak was tough and lackluster in flavor. The rice was even saltier than the crab cake, and the kale was just meh. REDVELVETBREADPUDDING — it had a cloyingly sweet red sauce on top. The bread pudding itself was ok — but I am not a fan of compressed bread puddings and this was one of those. The Eatery is easily my favorite spot in town and this was a very disappointing meal. I’d been wanting to bring some colleagues here and I’m so glad I didn’t for this menu! It would have been embarrassing!

So I’ve heard SOMUCH about Claud & Co Eatery over the past few months so when my anniversary came up, my husband and I decided to treat ourselves to this place. First off, they are not open on the weekends, which is crazy but business must be good if they can afford to do that, right? I found out when I called to make a reservation but was received by an answering machine. I left my information for a booking and was a bit nervous since it would be for Tuesday, the first day of the week that they are open. Luckily, I received a call early Tuesday to confirm my reservation for two! We arrived around 7 to find a busy little restaurant. We were immediately greeted by a waitress who told us she’d be right us, and at that point, the hostess seated quite promptly. We got the month’s menu and the theme was Japanese. We LOVE Japanese food and were quite excited. We ordered a few things with the help of a very friendly waitress. She also helped recommend a nice wine for me too. Our drinks came out very quickly and we didn’t have to wait long until our first dish came out. The first dish was the duck with umeboshi. Very tasty. The duck was tender and juicy and the umeboshi was a nice compliment to the duck. The next dish we received was The Prime Flat Iron Steak. I LOVE flat iron steak but felt that this was a little too well done. Maybe it was because it was yakitori style, so it had to stay on the skewer? Not so sure. The steak was also a little overly salty. There was a sauce that it was sitting in that may have made it a little too salty, but we weren’t sure what it was. Our last yakitori was Crispy Pork Belly. I mean, you can’t go wrong with pork belly right? Eh. I guess you can. Again, I felt that the plate was overly salty and the pork belly was a little tough to eat. There wasn’t much for a crisp to it either. Next, we shared the Hakata Style Pork Ramen. It had char siu on it and TONS of sesame n the broth. We weren’t really sure what was up with that. The broth had a thick consistency but did not taste of any kind of meat. It was rather bland and again, a little salty. The Ramen itself was a bit mushy and not al dente. I felt like I had ramen all over my teeth after I finished this plate. At this point, I am completely full and wished that I had room for dessert because it sounded amazing. My husband however, had other ideas. He ordered the Unagi and Baby Shitake Baked in Foil. This plate though. UH. MUH. GAD. Perfect. The Unagi was tender to the pull and the shitake just melted in your mouth. The two items were a perfect compliment to each other. So if you’re coming this September, I’d definitely recommend this plate. Anywho, I was a bit underwhelmed by the place but because it has so many 5 star ratings and is so close to my house, I’ll definitely be back. I think that maybe the Japanese menu just wasn’t their best. I’ll be back to try another menu next time for sure! TIPS: Make a reservation because the restaurant is not very large Parking is on the street or there is a lot right across the street on Allen that is just for Claud & Co, but only after 6pm. They can accommodate groups, but I wouldn’t bring a group larger than 6 or 8 here. It gets a bit dim here so walk carefully. Also, if you have difficulty reading the menu, they write their menu on the board above the kitchen. Have fun with their menu!

Gotta make reservations! February 20, 2014 Their menus change per month! This month, it’s Mediterranean themed. Our reservation was set for 6:30 pm and it was just perfect. Parking was a tad strange, but not going to complain. The interior is simply gorgeous. Not going to compare this to Dolce Vita in Beverly Hills, but it’s pretty damn nice. The food was good, especially the rice pilaf! OMG that was worth it.
