I walked in and the place was well organized but there was a horrid smell and it reeked like dog. The customer service was average at best so don’t expect to be greeted when you walk in. Hope this helps any future customers.

EDIT: Went again the other day and they sprung another new bullshit pricing policy out of nowhere. Apparently NOW if you buy cards in person, they raise up the prices of cards on you. 39 — 49 cent cards become 75 cents and any 1.99+ card gets rounded up. They will not honor their online prices at all in person. Screw this place, changing my rating to 1 star for incredibility random & asinine pricing habits. Go to MTG deals, they’re much better and they don’t bullshit you on prices in person or online.
The best place for me to get cards if I based it on only 3 aspects: 1) It’s close to my job 2) they have the most selection of any place I can go, except for Franks and Sons, and 3) Their prices are usually the cheapest on most cards (but more on that later). However, it is only these 3 reasons why I keep coming back to this store because if it wasn’t for that, I would never come. In fact, I only go to this place if it’s my last resort. Reasons are:
1)The customer service is usually bad the majority of the time I’ve come here, especially compared to other shops. These guys are only selling trading cards, games aimed towards children, but a couple guys act like they’re selling golden chickens to poor people. Most of the guys I’ve had helped me, except for 1 asian guy, have been rude, off-​putting, or simply act like they awkwardly don’t want to be there. It’s like the store owner hired the most awkward or rude people he could find to man his store. My theory is that because their customer base are usually predominately young kids to teens, these employees are so used to being able to get away with being rude to their customers, because their young audience is either too immature or too scared to say anything about it, they can’t help but act like that to everyone that walks into their store, including adults. At best, the workers there are apathetic.
2) Their pricing is completely BULLSHIT sometimes. There’s been at least 3 occasions where I’ve printed out a list of cards I wanted from their database, using their website’s pricing, and went to the store in person to get the cards to bypass the shipping and waiting times. I didn’t give them the list at first with the prices, I just gave the name and type of rarity of the cards I wanted. During those times, the guy there gave me different prices for certain cards, not knowing that I had the list of cards in my pocket with the ACTUAL price of the cards listed next to them. The 1^st time I told them that the prices they were giving me were inconsistent with their actual online prices, showing them the prices they themselves had listed on their website, they gave me some lame mumblings of how sometimes there were mistakes, website lag, and other BS excuses. In fact, the asian guy I usually see on his laptop there, was the one who came up to me with the bullshit excuses of why some of these cards were priced differently. The same guy other reviewers have said to have given them conflicting prices when they try to sell cards, simply bc he «had to do 10 more mins of work.» I pushed a little bit more and they eventually gave me my cheaper price. Why not honor the prices you put in the first place? Why even argue?
Another time, I brought my GF’s little brother there to buy 2 structure decks, and when he tried to purchase the decks, they tried to charge him, PER DECK, a price that 2 dollars more expensive than it actually was. I’ve seen that structure deck on their website for months, and it never fluctuated in price. But the moment my little buddy wanted to buy it, they raised it up on him. I confronted the black kid that was running the store and he tried to act surprised and had an obviously fake conversation with a coworker of his, acting like it was a big confusion and supposedly the website was wrong because the prices weren’t adjusted properly and the actual price was more. Once again, I pushed on the issue and he finally gave us the price that was on the website. TO THIS DAY, new cards and decks have been added to their websites, but not a SINGLE CARD or STRUCTURE DECK, that I had to fight to get the correct pricing, have had their prices changed. In fact, the last time I went there, the structure decks that my GF’s little brother bought, that was supposedly supposed to be more expensive, is now LABELED with the CORRECT price that was listed on their website, NOT the $ 2 more inflated price that guy tried to say was actually the «right» price. This proves to me, there was no lag in their computer or some other BS excuse, these guys were just trying to rip us off. I can’t imagine how many times they’ve gotten away with it, considering the young customer base that usually buys from them without checking to see if they’re getting cheated or not. I really can’t trust these guys. If it wasn’t for the fact that their prices are usually the cheapest around, when they’re not trying overprice you in person, this would be a 1 star review.

I went in here to just sell a few cards that I found while cleaning my room. Cards from 14 years ago. I made a buy list order or whatever you call it to sell cards and realized that the store was actually a 15 min drive away. So instead of going through the whole process of selling to them online which usually takes a long time to fully process, i decided to go to their store instead.
The place FUCKING smells. Seriously… i gagged and threw up a little bit periodically during my time there.
First guy that helped me seemed really knowledgeable, and the guy who ended up helping me later was apparently the boss. He made the most ridiculous reason of paying me less than what the website says it would give. I would think doing it in person would be more convenient, but he says that doing it in person makes it so he has to enter each card in individually which takes a lot of time, which leads to paying me less for my cards… I watched him enter each card individually which took him 10 minutes… so those extra 10 minutes of doing what your job is going to cost me?
Store has a TON of cards. Never seen so many yu gi oh cards in my life. I didn’t think it was still a thing. I came to just sell my old yugioh cards just to make a quick buck.

Great location on Arroyo. We stopped in late at the last minute, and although it was closing time the owner Kenny let us in. No matter what a business sells, to me the top differentiator is the attitude of the owner. Not only is this store most competitively priced, their stellar and friendly service and top-​notch attitude deserves TEN solid stars!
There is a private parking lot behind the store or easy street parking.

Great place to get the cards you need. Great for kids to bring them in to play… meet with friend have a great time. If you want a card they have it

Would never go here agin the inside just looks a bit odd the service is terrible and prices very expensive they were selling me a yugioh dark impact booster box for $ 149 a box that i purchased before at another store for $ 60 very big diffrience the guy didnt know any info everything i asked for pricing he has to ask his boss in the back or check the system was a bit ridiculous they would take a while for me to get an answer for the prices only came here because my store i go to is closed on sundays but never will i come back here agin

Pretty great card shop. Went on friday. It was a free tournament. Good amount of META. Good time.

First time going to this shop came I’m for a vanguard tournament. The people were really friendly. Loved that there were lots of people playing. The tournament was $ 3 to enter and was 5 rounds. Probably will come every Saturday to participate from now on.

This review is not for the store itself, but rather their website and support. Reason why i gave this one star is because when i email them, their respond time was amateur like. Take about couple of days to respond, and when i respond back they never bother to look at it again. The email just sit there unanswered, until i call in to ask about my order. Which then lead to the second part of the problem, they said that the address on the credit card was from another state while the shipping is from another. Since when is this a problem when this was a gift. Why didn’t they just emailed me about the problem, well that is because there were no professionalism going on here, this was merely an amateur shop. This shop didn’t want my money that’s okay other places will.

This is in my experience the best place for any YUGIOH card needs. They have an amazing selection of single cards, booster packs, boxed sets, and trading card accessories. Staff is very friendly, patient, and very informative. If you’re a returning player or just getting into it, this is where you want to be. The only negative I can say is that its a little far from Burbank… But Its definately worth the drive. If you live far tho you can always order from the website. Other than that… This is a great shop. Definitely worth checking out.

What a great place! Prices were very good and they were very helpful. I got what I needed right away and there tournaments were fun.

Quick to help and ask if I needed assistance. Tournament going on but still had all my questions answered regardless. Prices are good and lots of place to sit.

Wow! Came by this place just cruising through LA on my way to a Dodger game. Super awesome customer service and prices for their Force of Will. Pulled some mythics out of the packs that I got and am super grateful. They even let me borrow their phone so I can figure out what was going wrong with my credit card. 5 stars for customer service. 5 stars for product pricing at a brick and mortor. 5 stars for shop layout. 3 for parking, but overall rating on shop alone… just look at the top! Will recommend.

Been going around to local card shops. Me and my girlfriend wanted to get into yugioh, so we decided to give this place a try to buy all of our cards. we prefer buying cards in store over online. I really want to give this place 5 stars as the staff is relatively nice. but there are a few things i cant deny. the parking lot is tiny. coming here on a weekend can be quite the nightmare. They round up their price if you buy from in store which kind of sucks, but understandable since they have to manually update stocks etc. my only real complaint is that everytime i order some cards here in store, they seem to always get something wrong. i normally find them giving me unlimited edition after paying for 1^st edition. i usually have to tell them and they fix it without issue. I get it, it happens. But ive came here over 5 times now and this has happened everytime. In most recent visit; me and my girlfriend bought a set of cards, and we didnt check them as we were in a hurry. of course, to my disappointment both of us got wrong rarities and unlimited when we explicitly wrote the rarity and 1^st edition and paid for it. i love the place still and i’ll still shop here, but it is really discouraging to order in store. The friendly store owner is the only thing keeping me from giving this place a 3.
Edit. Aaaalright I had to knock the star off after today. Bought couple cards online a few days ago. I picked it up when it was still processing and the guy was super nice and got the cards for me and said it was alright, just like mtgdeals. Came today hoping to do the same and the only guy working there said it was impossible even for an order of 2 cards. I’m not around the area often so I’m disappointed. I really have no idea what I can or can’t do at this point.

Tiny store, but awesome selection. Came to SoCal for a wedding and Unilocaled this place and was surprised at their stock! I was looking for older foils I’d been unable to find before and they had quite a few of them! Store was clean and well organized and had a decent amount of play space.

CoreTCG is a small store located on Arroyo Parkway that is easy to miss. I went around the block around twice before I found out that the parking is in the alley just behind the store. Once you get in, it is organized and arranged quite nicely. The people are casual, friendly, and helpful. If you are looking for Yugioh or Cardfight Vanguard cards, this is one of the best places to look for it. They also arrange some of the rare cards in their display cases for you to drool over. The only problem that I have with the store is that the owner lets his dogs run around the store when there are few people around. There were a few times when I almost stepped on one of them because I did not notice it hiding under the table.
A lot of their items are reasonably priced if you buy from them in store. It is much more expensive if you order from them online, so I recommend you go in person if possible. They have a huge selection of cards and they seem to have every booster pack ever released for the games that they sell. If you are looking for any individual cards, chances are they will have it. Sadly, they do not seem to stock large carrying cases or bags for trading cards. They only have deck boxes.
On tournament days, it can get crowded in there. The store is not very big, so it can get cramped in there when there are 60 people in such a small area.

This is my favorite Yugioh shop because:
— Nicely air conditioned
— Always clean
— Enough tables and chairs usually
— Excellent card selection
— Decent parking behind shop

— The owner has the most AWESOME golden retriever chilling in the shop!
— Drink and snack vending machines
— Checkout is fast! I actually live really close to MTG Deals in San Gabriel but it takes FOREVER to check out there, like infuriatingly long, ask any of the regulars there. I drive an extra 25 minutes to Core because they help me check out basically immediately, and they always ask me if I need help without me having to stand around for 10 minutes.
Today, I went by to get the last couple cards for my Fluffal OTK deck (don’t laugh, it’s super sacky and fun!) and I was helped by Ty, who is not only very courteous and professional, he helped me find out if equip card effects can stack (they can). Rather than just tell me «I don’t know», he actually walked to the back and asked someone for me.
I know their prices can be a little bit more than MTG Deals and eBay, but it’s worth it for their service and their nice shop.

This is the spot. The staff is really chill and the players are all nice people. Been coming here for years. Recommended it to anyone who wants to start playing, come back to the game, or any veterans who want to play test against some good players.
