Di-No Computers

My macbook pro had a problem since 2013 when i moved back china，which it starts but doesnt boot，and when it does boot，it will shut to a blue screen and it has been a long time i dont know what to do. I brought it to the hongkong apple store，they said they couldnt fix it. Until yesterday i took it to the Di-​no computer，i didnt have an appointment ahead，but they help me set up one，and while I am waiting for the first person helping me check my computer，other two people had asked me if i need help，and they are very nice. At the begining they said maybe a $ 75for system check，and then the hard drive something，but soon they find out maybe just the problem of the logic board，and it’s under rep，so it’s free replacement，so at the end i paid nothing to have my macbook work again，I am so happy and i will recommend my friends if they have problems for their computer，people are nice and helpful there，thank you so much，di-no computers.

Really frustrated by this computer place.
A few weeks ago, I spilled coffee all over my Macbook and being a desperate person, I took it to Di-​No. Also, my trackpad was non-​functioning from the spill. They had me pay $ 75 for a diagnostic test, just for them to look at it and tell me that my computer was «dead». They then proceeded to inform me that my computer was unusable but they were able to save my internal hard drive (information was safe). However, in order to repair my Mac they would need to send it back to Apple and it would cost $ 800. ARE YOU KIDDING?! I MIGHT AS WELL BUY A NEW MACBOOK AT THAT POINT! oh, and they informed me it was another $ 90 to fix the trackpad.
So in the meantime, I was using my sister’s laptop to get by (and I rely on my computer for work). I didn’t have the money yet to repair the computer or do anything at that point, so I left it at Di-​No for a few weeks. Then I got a bright idea. I heard somewhere that if you leave the electronic device alone for a couple weeks THEN turn it on, everything should be back to normal. So guess what? I went back to Di-​No, and guess what… MY COMPUTER TURNED ON!!!
GREEDY NERDS!!! He acted so surprised that my computer resurrected itself, AND that my trackpad was suddenly working by itself again. UGH SO FRUSTRATED!!! As someone that works in customer service, I pride myself on going the extra mile for customers and doing everything possible for them. Di-​No doesn’t really care about you, they care about the bottom dollar and just collecting money to fix problems instead of thinking outside of the box, and what they REALLY can do for you/​other solutions out there.
Oh, and one of the service technicians WAS going to transfer my data and back it up for free, then when i asked him about it… he went back on it and told me it was gonna be $ 120.
Forget you, Di-​No. You just lost a loyal customer.

Spilled liquid on my trackpad and knew taking it directly to an Apple Store would already cost me hundreds of dollars, so I found this place. And yes, it is Apple Certified!
So I called to leave my name in the queue — kind of like an appt but without a specific time — and left my laptop. Got a call that SAME day telling me that even though I had spilled liquid since none of the indicators were tripped — it was still under warranty!
Yes, I was lucky, but consider this: if I’d went to the Apple Store saying I’d spilled liquid, it would’ve automatically been considered «owner abuse» and my bank account would’ve self destructed. However Di-​No Computers saw that no liquid indicators were tripped — so my bank account celebrated instead!
This place is amazing, the people are very friendly and professional and know what they are doing, and it’s Apple Certified and very quick. I’ve even recommended this place to friends that don’t even live close to Pasadena.

I went to Di-​No Computers in Pasadena, CA on 3÷31÷2016. It was my 1^st time there. My iPad was not working and they got it working in just a couple of minutes and would not charge me for it. I’ve generally quit giving five stars but I’ve got to give five stars for that. So when I have future computer problems I’m definitely coming here. Plus, I took photos.

Came to drop off my damn MacBook Pro that almost crashed while updating to El Capitan iOS. Martin the technician helped to explain what the problem was when I stopped by last weekend. Told me what to do before bringing it back for repair. He was very nice and knowledgable. Didn’t seem to rip you off but tried to help you save money. Looking fwd to to getting my newly upgraded (?) computer with a new hard drive. Giving them 5 stars based on Martins excellent service assuming all problems will be handled while my laptop sleeps at the store overnight.

My hard disk was broken and the belt inside my computer too,
My computer was fixed the next day! YEP! THAT fast! lol
If anything happen to your computer, you should go there, its worth the trip to Pasadenas guys!

I’ve been twice now and have been very happy with my experiences here. Both times were for changing my macbooks’ batteries. I didn’t set up an appointment or anything, just did a walk in and was helped pretty quicky. I did find that I must have beat the rush because a bunch of people walked in after I did with appointments. I told them that I needed to change her battery because it couldn’t hold a charge for longer than 10 minutes. They did run a diagnostic test to confirm if that was the problem first. For my mom’s macbook it was just under $ 200 to change the battery. They even cleaned the computer and gave the screen a wipe down as well. It took about 2 or 3 days– I can’t remember now. It took that long because they had to order the right battery for it. I was so pleased with the service there that I returned when my Macbook Pro needed to change the battery.
So, yes! Come to Di-​No, you’re in good hands!

Glad I found this place. When I have a problem with my laptop, I call Di-​No to schedule a day to bring my computer in because the place tends to get pretty busy and they can’t help you right away. Once I come in, a person at the counter asks what’s wrong and takes notes in the computer for the technician. I pay $ 75 for the diagnostic and receive an invoice immediately. Once a technician knows what’s wrong with my computer, they give me a call and let me know before fixing it. Technicians usually call a day or two later. A day or three later, the technician calls back and tells me my computer is ready for pick-​up. If the issue is covered by my warranty, then Di-​No will call in the part and refund my $ 75. Other services have cost me $ 150.
If you’re looking for someone to fix your mac (or a PC, but a PC technician is only in a day or two during the week), I would definitely give these guys a try.

This place is amazing. The only reason somebody would by from an Apple store it because they don’t know about this little gem.
I love the customer service and the prices are the same. I never have to make an appointment to ask a question. If it is an easy one I just call and they will give help me in just 3 minutes when I would have spent an hour searching the answer online.
Jordan is so patient and good at what he does. They even offer classes for free!

The best. I feel helpless when my computer isn’t working, and hoping it heals itself usually doesn’t work. My MacBook Pro is 2 years old and I use it a LOT … it kept crashing on startup and giving me a multilingual sorry-​not-​sorry screen. I hadn’t backed it up in 6 months either, since my external drives also had stopped working.
I brought them both in and said, have at it. For around $ 200, they were able to not only wipe my computer clean and reinstall all the stuff I WANTED on there (everything was the same on startup; all my pictures and files sitting around on my desktop and everything) but salvaged the stuff on my external drives as well. I had brought in a new external drive for them to put whatever they could salvage on there, but they recommended a better one and that’s what I went with.
I can’t say enough about Pedro, who worked on my machine and called me with updates, and his patience in explaining to me where I may have gone wrong and that everything was going to work out okay. Finally, a place that isn’t the Apple store whenever something goes wrong! Don’t worry, just call and get an appointment for a technician to look at your computer, drop it off, and be done with it. You’re too busy to sit there and try to Google how to be a computer technician. Just get it done.

This place is awesome!
I came in with my E key loose and it had fallen off.
Ordering it and replacing it would have been $ 40.
Will was awesome and went back to the technicians 3 times to try to fix the key without ordering a new one.
Finally it was successful and I only had to pay $ 5!
I will ALWAYS come here for my computer needs!

Have gone to Di-​No almost 10Y now.
Replaced a battery on old model MacBook and technician noticed design flaw (linear crack on front edge/​corner of keyboard). It was a recall item and they replaced N/​C.
We bought our 85Y mom an iMac desktop with extended AppleCare. Just a month out of warranty, the power source went out. Explained that she is not an 8H/​day heavy user of her desktop, so the technician contacted AppleCare to cover replacement. Many thanks from Gramma!
Will definitely have return business from our families!

Where the pros go. Seriously, why waste time in the Apple store, or wondering about the advice you’re getting in a typical computer service store. Di-No’s is the best of the best. Mylan and his team not only can assess and fix problems, but most importantly, save you money and time in the process. I would NEVER buy any Apple product anywhere else, period. Don’t take a chance with tech people who don’t have your best interests at heart-​or with some twenty year old, beret wearing Apple Store employee who really doesn’t care either way.

Hallelujah! Thank the heavens for Mylan! Although my poor Henry was not in a condition to be fully saved, Mylan did what he could to save him. And he even made him better! :)
Something had happened to my 2013 Macbook Pro where it would not turn on past the loading screen. When I had tried to safe reboot it, it came up with these «Error» notices and I immediately panicked! I had made an appointment immediately at the Genius Bar at Apple, with the hopes it was just me being retarded and nothing wrong with my poor Henry.
Fast forward to me tearing up and punching myself mentally, I found out that my poor hard drive crapped out and D I E D. It would be $ 190 & a 7 day wait for Apple to order and install my new 1 TB hard drive. A friend of mine came to my rescue when she recommended good ol Mylan! Within minutes of meeting Mylan, I already felt assured that Henry would be ok.
5 Business days passed and Mylan had my beloved Henry, good as NEW! He even had all the programs I had back on there. He walked me through the process he took Henry and what was different. This was the BEST $ 200 I’ve ever invested. My Macbook is running better than when I took it out of the package.

I have never written a Unilocal review before, nor did I think I would ever write one, but I wanted to share my appreciation for Di-No’s efficiency and excellent customer service, which allowed me to turn in a take-​home midterm on time.
I had been to Di-​No in December after experiencing the grey screen of death and being told by the Apple Store that my hard drive was dead. Because the Apple Store does not do data recovery, I was referred to Di-​No, and it turned out I just had a cable loose (which took them 3 days to tell me so I was thankful yet peeved at the same time). I wouldn’t give a 5 star review for this encounter but my second encounter definitely deserved over 5 stars, so it evens out.
I again encountered the grey screen of death the day I had a take-​home midterm due. Knowing that potentially a cable was loose again, I called Di-​No immediately and was completely in panic mode as I told them I suspected I had a cable loose and pathetically begged them to look at my laptop ahead of all the other laptops that were dropped off before mine. Either I sounded extremely desperate or Pedro has the biggest heart in the world (probably a combination of both), but Pedro appeared to hesitate slightly before telling me to bring my laptop in asap and that he would take a look at it for me.
Not only did Pedro immediately take a look at it when I arrived, but he did so in a timely fashion. I had a 1.5 hr break before I had to rush back to school so I was a bit antsy in my seat since I still had some preparations to make before class and always anticipate some type of traffic in the Pasadena area. However, Pedro replaced the cable in about 20 min, leaving me time joke around a bit with the other equally friendly employees, buy lunch for the friend who accompanied me out of pity, sit through light traffic, and make it back to campus early. I really don’t know what I would have done had it not been for Pedro’s campus aside from having to ask my professor to give me an extension while I completely redid a midterm I spent days working on. Thank you Pedro for saving my laptop, midterm, and sanity, and I will definitely back up my files, even if they’re temporary files.

Thanks for helping me out with my MacBook. So lucky you guys were able to help save all of the baby pictures. My computer was stuck in the grey start up screen. When I took it to the Apple Store the only thing they could do was to reset the computer and erase everything in it.
The diagnosis at DI-​NO was that I had overlapped files.
$ 120 was not a bad price considering the guy at the Genius Bar mentioned that places usually charge over $ 250 to fix this issue without the promise of saving or recovering all your data.

Brought my MacBook Pro here that had somehow managed to give out after about 4 years. Turns out the battery was swelling and due to additional water damage (my son spilled his cup on it about 2 years ago) it wouldn’t be repairable by apple, so I would need to Pay for the repairs out-​of-​pocket.
I ended up having to buy a brand-​new MacBook, but it was the more reasonable choice to make because the cost of repairs for my old laptop would cost more than buying a brand-​new laptop.
Pros:
–Pedro was plenty of help and he let me know all my options. I liked the fact that he made many personal calls an kept me updated on the status of my laptop!
–the front desk receptionist (Laura?) was kind, accommodating, and was able to get me an appointment ASAP… I appreciated that! I felt she was in a hurry to have them handle my issue which is always great… She’s extremely pleasant and is good at what she’s doing
–They have a service fee (diagnostic) of $ 75 which wasn’t bad considering I was quoted more elsewhere
–I was able to get all my info transferred from my old laptop to my new one for a small fee, and ALL my data was recovered! My worst fear was losing it all but I didn’t
–Very clean store on the inside, and wonderful friendly associates working inside. I felt Very welcome!
Cons:
–I hadn’t heard about them sooner!
I love a good, honest, well ran business! The customer service here was A+. And the price was very reasonable. I’m glad I came across this business, I’ll be using them now on for all my apple needs. Thanks Di-​No !
