Welcome to Discovery Days Early Learning Center! We are a large family childcare center serving families in the Pasadena area. Discovery Days is a place where children are invited to explore, learn and discover the world around them! We care for children ages 6 weeks to age 5, and we are open Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. Tuition includes healthy and mostly organic snacks and lunch daily. Childcare provider has earned a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and several developmental theories are incorporated into daily routines and activities.

DDELC offers a variety of activities throughout the week including: Music and Movement, Art, Fine and Gross motor development through sports, Baking and Gardening. There are also daily learning activities centered around letter recognition, early math and literacy skills and creative play opportunities.

Discovery Days Early Learning Center is a culminating product of all Lisa’s studies, experience and passion for educating the minds of young children. We opened for business in November of 2013 and spots are filling up fast!

Meet the Business Owner

Lisa Marie M.

Business Owner

Born in a small town in Northern California, Lisa Marie attended college at San Diego State University and earned her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Loyola Marymount University. Lisa Marie has experience as a Kindergarten teacher, a Transitional Kindergarten teacher, and experience at an accredited children’s center. With over ten years experience working with children, Lisa Marie’s philosophy of educating children revolves around developmentally appropriate practice and teaching the whole child. Integrating several developmental theories such as Reggio Emilia, concepts from Waldorf, RIE and attachment theory, Miss Lisa strives to expose her students to new experiences and invites all children to learn and grow at their own pace.
