Eden Garden Bar & Grill

We booked a large party (52 guests) for a rehearsal dinner. The patio is gorgeous, the food was divine, and Tarek was easy to work with in getting the whole party set up. My only note or recommendation would be that if you’re doing something similar and plan to have speeches or toasts, bring a small mic/​audio unit. While it was easy to hear each other during dinner time conversation, it was difficult to hear someone giving a toast over the other diners seated on the upper patio. But all in all, it was a great experience!

If you want to immerse yourself in the middle eastern culture, Eden Garden is the place to do it! Service is exceptionable and nothing is without reach. We’ve hosted a number of events at Eden, pleased to a greater extent during each visit.
I must mention their main (family style) dishes are not very well prepared. At times the red meat can come out over or under cooked, so it might be noteworthy to send in a request with your order. The appetizers are delicious, you can’t pass up on the cheese rolls and fattoush salad.
I highly recommend making a reservation for large parties. Weekends include live music and belly-​dancers. Woo!

When you’re nice to people, good things happen to you. This was the case at Eden Bar and Grill. My friends and I arrived just before the reservation rush and the last available table had been taken by someone who beat us to the door. They offered us bar seats and we told them no problem we’d be happy to. And we chatted with the host for a few minutes and had a nice conversation. He then looked at his reservations again and said he had a table, but only for a little over an hour. We said we’d take it because we planned to see some bands playing later, so we’d be finished by then. The waitress was super friendly (and pretty to boot) and didn’t rush us. Our appetizers arrived promptly. The hummus is outstanding. I’m not a fan of the garlicky kind, so this was just right for me. Creamy and smooth with just enough olive oil. The pita were warm and soft. And for a middle Eastern restaurant, they made a delicious Caesar Salad. My entrée was amazing. The chicken Shawarma was cooked perfectly. The Kafta spiced just right and the sirloin juicy and tender. The rice was also spot on with just a hint of spice. The vegetables were super fresh, crunchy and steamed correctly. Our waitress was very attentive as was the host, but still never rushing us. They were polite and engaging and we had a great time chatting with them. They made us feel so welcome, and we even ended up with a free fruit plate at the end of our meal! It’s these kind of experiences that make a dinner special, and this certainly was. We were made to feel as regulars who had been coming for years. I’m sad that I’m visiting from out of town, and won’t be able to eat here more often, it would definitely be on my rotation of eating out. And I will not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who happens to find themselves in the Pasadena area. I know my friends who live here will be back. Thank you for an amazing experience all around!

This place is perfect for date night, or for some sort of shower or birthday party. I went with my old roommate to catch up and we were very pleased with this place.
First, the ambiance is amazing on the outdoor patio. They have great lighting, and they had a singer playing a stringed instrument and another on the keyboard. While a little loud, it was very pleasant music. It was a little strange that a basketball game was being projected but otherwise great. Second, the food is pretty darn good. We tried this dish which had hummus and grilled meat on it which was very good. My roommate got lamp chops which were amazing. They were so flavorful! I got the chicken shwarma sandwich with fries. The fries with rosemary were very good, but the chicken shwarma was not to my taste. That’s alright because everything is very reasonably priced. Most items on the eclectic menu were under $ 15.
So to recap, excellent ambiance, excellent service (thanks, Mona, you’re the best!) good food and a good date night place. I definitely want to throw a party there soon.

The food is amazing. From the hummus, falafel, meat rice and cocktails all delicious.
Service was really fast. Totally worth $ 35.00 per person.
The atmosphere was so fun and upbeat. The belly dancer was entertaining and got people involved.
Only one thing… well two! First, the door open letting the smoke cigar and hookah into the dance area and two, why are there children out dancing at 930 in a smokey place?

Over the weekend, we celebrated my parent’s anniversary at this restaurant. Tarek (the manager) was accommodating and helped me plan out a wonderful party for my parents and family. We had reserved two long tables in the main dining room. The patio was beautiful (my parents even took some pictures there), but it was where people smoked hookah so we couldn’t reserve a spot there because we had children in our party. We were on a budget and wanted to make this party as personalized as possible and Tarek was helpful at each step of the way. I was able to come early and set-​up on Saturday and even the staffs were super helpful and helped put up our banner. Our main waitress, Mercedes, also did an awesome job of checking in with us to see how we were doing. She was very nice and patient, even when my family was just standing around and taking a bunch of pictures!
Food: My family does not really like to try new things and tend to stick to Asian food. There were certain things that were probably too adventurous for them (i.e. raw meat appetizer), but they enjoyed the other items. We were actually somewhat full before the entrees even arrived. The different kind of meats and the rice were delicious!
Entertainment: They had a DJ next to our tables. The music wasn’t too loud and served as good background music. At around 10 PM, the belly dancer came out and entertained the restaurant. She is a talented performer and my family was excited to see her perform. She even took some pictures with my parents!

Been here many times and the food and service is usually fairly good every time. The menu is Lebanese cuisine and the hookah is pretty good too. Worth a visit really and Eden is comparable to the other Lebanese style restaurants within driving distance. Occasionally it can be noisy yet not a problem. An interesting fact is that when this used to be holly st bar & grill it was Lebanese owned and now it’s a Lebanese style restaurant owned by people from Jordan

A Great Place for Big Events and group parties or just dinner for two.
I was looking for a venue for my daughters first baby shower. I had looked into many other Venues and none of them got my attention. I remembered Eden garden and Grill where I attended a friend’s birthday party.
The venue was very special and unique from all 30 venues I had research and visited.
I had my consultation with Tarek Jamal, he was extremely polite and accommodating and caring.
Our Event started with «mimso» and appetizers served by the waiters. Followed by salad of the choice and later the entrees. The food was exceptionally good, tasty, fresh delicious and good portions. The staff were amazing, very polite and helpful. My guests are still talking about the even and already planning to have their special occasions at Eden Garden and Grill.
On the day of the event Tarek and his staff made sure all of the guest and our needs were met. He was very polite, professional, attentive, funny and knowledgeable ! He made my guest experience quite a pleasant and happy experience.
Tarek I can’t thank you enough to make this event so very special for everyone.
A must have experience for everyone!

I wish I could give this place ten stars! The food, the service, the ambiance, the music and the drinks were all absolutely incredible. I will definitely be back!

This place seemed fairly formal, we were seated inside and ordered the set menu. The dj booth was right next to us so it was difficult to carry a conversation with my party, but I did dance after a few drinks which was nice. My party and I wanted to smoke hookah but we had to wait for a table to be available outside. We eventually moved outside, the hookah was not too bad. The set menu wasn’t anything too special, just a bunch of medditeranian sides and some kabobs which weren’t hot, but slightly warm. The meat didn’t taste too fresh. Overall this is a great spot to celebrate and hang out with friends, but because of the few mishaps this location gets a ⁴⁄₅
Our total bill with drinks was about 600 with gratuity included. Wish the service was a little faster with my drinks though, I had to hunt waiters down lol

Great place in Pasadena for some Mediterranean food, drinks, and hookah!
We came for a friend’s birthday with a group of roughly 16 people. Since our group was this big, we had to do a set menu. It was either $ 35 or $ 45 per person. We went for the $ 35 option and the food was still pretty good.
What’s cool about this place is that they have Live Belly Dancers who come around and dance with each individual person as well.
They have valet parking at the front but I recommend parking across the street at the structure for $ 5.

Just now writing a review. Came here about 5 years ago for a work function. I remember the staff being super friendly. And the food being extremely delicious! I wish this restaurant was closer to me, I would come all the time, since I love Mediterranean cuisine.

Amazing time here came here with my brother and his girlfriend and the drinks, hookah, and employees were awesome!

Overall experience from the start to finish deserves more than a 5 star rate!
1. Made reservation through Unilocal and got the time we wanted
2. Came in with a party of five that was welcomed with so much positive energy and warmth. Our host, SEAN, was a great example of what an excellent host should be. He was very polite, professional, attentive, funny and knowledgeable ! He made my parents’ first sit down Mediterranean dining experience quite a pleasing adventure
3. Even the waiters and the servers were amazing!
4. Our Feast was far better than the other Mediterranean restaurants we had — those appetizers and meats were fresh, delicious and good portions
5. Our order came with tea, soda and coffee: $ 35 Pre fixed dinner per person is soooo worth it
6. We were expected and advised to take our time, enjoy the moment and feel cozy. Usually, servers would make you feel so pressured and some of them would even rush you with your order — NOT HERE. They give you the RESPECT and they patiently helped and accommodated all our requests.
7. And yes– on Saturday nights — they have belly dancers!
8. HOOKAH; and if you’re not comfy with the smoke — that’s one of the first things they will remind you so they could seat you inside if you want
9. The ambiance! Love it! So intimate, so perfect for a romantic dinner and just right for a group celebration! I always wanted to try this place because of all the pictures I’ve seen — and I’m glad I did!
10. There’s valet parking but there’s also street parking and parking across the restaurant (costs us 5:00)
11. This is a definite must if you’re in Pasadena — my parents who are picky eaters and complain about new foods they have to try (with me) were very pleased and ate almost our whole feast and that says a lot!
Oh and yes ! Being my birthday too — I got a real good birthday dessert on the house!
I will definitely come back here !! Can’t wait!

First time here and very happy we came. Amazing customer service. Friendly environment. Owner and manager talk to each table to make sure things are perfect. Mona and Rowena super amazing. Will def come back

Just came here last night with my husband. While he enjoyed the food, he said he wouldn’t come back because of things like the music (they had Puff Daddy/​Faith Evans’ «I’ll Be Missing You» blasting at one point). While I didn’t find that a big deal, I thought the food was underwhelming. We had their Grape Leaves (Warak Enab), Hummus, Eden Mix for Two and Crème Brulee.
While I generally really like dolma (their Grape Leaves), I found theirs just too tart and with not much flavor beyond sour. The hummus was okay, husband and I enjoyed it with their warm pita bread.
The Eden Mix for Two, which came with a combo meat of filet mignon, chicken breast and kofta (layman’s terms: Mediterranean meatballs). The filet mignon was well-​done, so that means dry and tough. The chicken was standard, also dry which is fine since it’s dry no matter where you go. Both beef and chicken were flavorless unless you spread the garlic paste on it (But what if you hate garlic, you ask? Then there’s no flavor for you tonight, sorry). The kofta (my first time having it) was not my thing but my husband liked it. The rice was yummy, nice and flavorful, good texture. The vegetables were nicely done. The presentation of the dish was somewhat sloppy looking with the tongs and giant serving spoon just sitting in the center of the dish when it arrived.
The Crème Brulee was okay, slightly on the too sweet side for me, so I only had a couple bites while my husband finished the rest.
The restaurant was just way too cold and uncomfortable for me. It was a chilly night and we sat next to the entrance where they left the door wide open. I don’t know if it would’ve made a big difference if we sat in more because the restaurant is openly connected to the outside patio with the door (again) just wide open.
I know this is a selling point for a lot of people but not me: the hookah thing really bothered me. I don’t smoke, so I don’t want to breathe in that garbage while I’m eating (or doing anything else for that matter). I wouldn’t bring my kids here because their health shouldn’t be affected for a meal. Since the dining room was connected to the patio where the hookah smoking took place, the smoke was wafting in the entire time we were dining. It was not pleasant and I wasn’t happy about it.
Service was excellent, so we left about over an 18% tip but we agreed that we would not be coming back again.

Eden Garden is one of those «oldie but goodie.» I have been coming to this location for the past 5 years and have always been happy with the service, staff (which are incredibly nice and friendly), the food, and the hookah. We usually always go with a group of either just girls or girls and guys. For the most part, as long as I have been coming here, I usually attend someone’s birthday. They truly never disappoint.
The most recent time I came to Eden Garden was last week for one of my friends birthdays, and we were a group of 12. We sat outside in the patio, which is very convenient, has a nice environment and beautiful setting. The menu is a set menu which you preorder before arriving, but it includes an amazing arrangement of Mediterranean foods from cold appetizers to hot dishes.
Not only is this place great for big groups who want to have a great time, it also has amazing food, hookah, and a live DJ on the weekends where the guests can enjoy a diversity of genres and dance the night away. I also love how they have full bar and you are not limited to certain drinks only on the menu. We started the night off with some berry mojitos, but moved onto rounds of midori sour which was a great way to end the night. Overall, I had a great time and will definitely be back and recommend this place to others.

I don’t smoke hookah too often but when I do I enjoy it at Eden Garden. The staff here is courteous, attentive, and helpful when it comes to helping guests with the food menu and the hookah flavors.
I will continue frequenting Eden when I’m in town and making sure to tell my friends and colleagues about it when they’re looking for a place to enjoy a night out. They don’t disappoint.
