Despite being in watch service for 40 something years this person likely caused damage to a Citizen ECO Drive watch my wife took to him in order to have the minute hand reinstalled, note that the hour hand still showed the correct hour. He performed the requested service but also replaced the battery which he was not asked to do and a few days later the watch stopped working completely. I later had a conversation with him in which I asked if he was authorized to service Citizen watches which he simply responded by saying«I’ve been doing this for 40 years» and wouldn’t comment on the watch after servicing it. I lost all of the very little confidence I had in him at that point and chose to send it back to Citizen. We are now advised that the movement had to be entirely replaced. It’s not clear exactly what the cause of failure was but this persons demeanor did not instill confidence that he has the knowledge to service modern watches, nor is he certified.

I have now been to Eric for 5 different repairs. And each time the customer service has been personal and outstanding. He is nice guy, who either did the work while I waited or had it completed days ahead of schedule(re-stringing and knotting of pearls). And his prices, very reasonable. Oh, and he is not a snob like some other spots in town. One fix was adding a small ring to a shell I found on the beach, and he was more than happy to help me.

Eric is my guy, he always takes great care of my watches. Trustworthy person and he does quality work. He is fair with his prices. And I’ve been going to him since 2009. And I’ve picked up some nice jewelry for my wife! Thanks Eric.

I took a Timex watch($ 150) here just to have the battery replaced because it was losing time. The lithium battery was going to cost me $ 13, which I was okay with paying. Then the guy said he would clean my watch«free of charge.» Cleaning the watch consisted of spraying liquid plastic cleaner directly into the watch’s movement. He then reassembled the watch and handed it back to me. It was not working when he gave it back. He took it apart again and messed around with his tools, enough to where there were fine scratches and scrapes on the movement. He could not get my watch working again and said that if I could leave it with him for the day he could fix it. This guy doesn’t know crap about watches and ruined a watch with a lot of sentimental value. Who knew a simple battery change could be so tragic?

Personable, friendly, small, family business – Eric did careful work on a number of difficult repairs of my jewelry that weren’t overcharged, so even though the jewelry wasn’t expensive, the repairs were still worth it. Of course this makes me happy because my pieces of jewelry are special to me, meaningful memories, gifts, etc., or something perfectly makes a certain outfit, so having it back and usable again is a huge plus. I would recommend this place for jewelry and watch repairs and its right next door to a great dry cleaner(Civic) so when you drop off or pick up, you are doing two errands at once, a plus in my day!
