I purchased a groupon for this place and even though my groupon has not expired, the man just told me that he is no longer taking the groupon, to contact groupon and get a refund and «Okay, have a nice day». That was it. I did not even go to the place and the customer service was already awful…

My friend saw a groupon for gel nails and called to ask if we could get gel pedicures and that there were two of us. She was assured it was ok for us BOTH to come in so we drove there for about 15minutes each just to make it for the pedicure. Low and behold, soon asnI park my friend, who came first says there is only ONE nail guy and he says the groupon does NOT work for a pedicure… all I can say is WTF did I just drive here for… but hoping to still get a relaxing pedicure I stay and he tells me to sit down in one of the two chairs. He attempts to work on me and my friend at the same time. We both have old gel that needs to be removed from our toes. He says it’s 5 $ extra to remove but we object and he says it will be free.
He attempts to put a cloth with acetone on top of our toes to remove the gel… that clearly doesnt work and I tell him hey they usually put a foil atound them, I know because I do my own gels too. After what was taking forever and me being mostly ignored as he worked on my friend, my gel has still not come off. So he started to scrape it with a metal tool which was actually hurting and he still could not remove it. Finally I told him you know what just work on my friend it ok forget I came all the way out here for nothing and just made it easier for him because he could not handle us both! lol
I was alteady pissed, cold and uncomfortable but here’s when it gets worse.
I walk outdide because it was so cold in the salon and look down to surely find the big toenail was split broken halfway down the middle and the rest looked so ugly and cracked. Had to be from how he was removing the gel with metal tool.
My friend came out and told me that not only was he not sorry for the bad service and the false information over the phone (we could not use a groupon and he could not do a pedicure for us both at the same time), he also said that I should have paud him the 5 $ because haha he «rwmoved» my gel polish!
Are you kidding me?! It was not even half removed and you broke my toe nail that has been growing back for over a month. You said the fee was waived anyways. Plus I made it easy for you by saying fo us just on my friend and don’t worry about me.
He finally told my friend «next time come by yourself don’t bring your friend here» like he was her bff or something… omg what baaaad service NEVER come here to get your nails done especially in pairs, this man definately can’t handle two on one…

Just went to the salon with the Groupon. Had a little hesitation going in because the person answering the phone seemed very unfocused when taking my reservation at first I almost thought I got the wrong number. But when I went and I was pleasantly surprised the gentleman doing my manicure was quiet and polite, a little unfocused because he had to help customers and answer the phone at the same time as doing my manicure. But he did an excellent job. Technique wise it’s one of the best manicures I have ever had, my nails were shaped perfectly, my cuticles were trimmed just enough and left perfectly clean and the Polish job is perfect, I was left with the shiniest fingernails I’ve ever had. It’s definitely not a place to go if you want a full spa treatment. They did offer me something to drink but the place is not a spa environment, no massage, no soft music, no pleasant aroma therapy, no quiet time to sit, just in and out fast but with a great manicure done. I would consider going back without a Groupon if I ever need a fast and perfect manicure. I have to say I may have a little trouble spending $ 30 on a gel manicure in a place that really doesn’t give you the full service spa treatment, they have a lot of competition with places that do give you the full meal deal. But all in all the manicurist gentleman’s technique made up for the lack of special treatment.

Astineh was the one that did my Brazilian blowout last Sunday and OMG! I loved it! I had no idea what a Brazilian blowout is? All I knew it was good and healthy for the hair. Astineh was so sweet in taking her time to explain everything to me! I was originally just going for a haircut and deep-​conditioning since they had a good deal on Groupon. Anyways, I ended up getting the haircut BUT had to get the Brazilian blowout! So, I wish I can tell you ALL the fun I had that Sunday. Not only did we chat up about random stuff BUT we had such a nice connection. She offered me this yummy tea! Which if you have money you should so buy it! BEST costumer service ever! BUT she also does a great job in whatever you want her to do. I loved the haircut style she did and the layers she did to my hair. I came back to work the next day and everyone loved my hair and my sister is going today for her own Brazilian blowout and haircut. All I can say is ask for Astineh and I guarantee she wont let you down and you will also end up loving her! haha So yeah, COME HERE! :)

I hadn’t even noticed this salon till another business on the street pointed it out to me. I tried it and have been back twice since, to see Julie again, and I’ve loved her every single time.
I have not tried services with any of the other ladies there, and I’m sure they are nice too, but Julie won us over the first time and I haven’t felt the need to see anyone else. The first 2 times I got a face wax (yes I need those!!) and she does it so gently that the waxing ordeal was still… believe it or not… soothing. She also took good care of my mom, (who was also there for waxing) & offered her coffee/​tea etc.
I’m pregnant, so she tries to use more natural products for me. I went for a morning appt today and she had aired out the salon so there would be less cleaning-​product smells… so she takes care of little details once she begins to understand you.
Today I got a hair-​cut and loved it! She shampooed, conditioned, took looots of time to trim my hair, blow dried and straightened– charging me what a Super-​Cuts would charge you for WITHOUT a blow dry! And did I mention how she was so gentle and soothing thru the shampoo & cut that i was almost napping? Yeah, was almost napping :) And my hair looked pretty after :)
All in all, I am SUPER glad I found her! She has a soothing personality, is professional, and charges extremely reasonable prices! I walk away feeling pampered and taken care of, without spending too much. (She even told me to tip her less today ;)
The only reason the Studio didn’t get a 5 star is that the first time I went in, because of the other treatments there at the time, there was a very strong chemical smell– but they can’t help that, no salon can. Also it is a nice, clean, well-​appointed salon, but it is not a crystal-​chandelier/​mineral-​water-​pool spa oasis. But you don’t go in expecting those things. It is a ⁵⁄₅ with the expectations you walk in with.
Though walk-​ins are welcome, I suggest you call first, even if you only figured half an hour before that you have time to get a service today. The staff usually works by appointments, so if you «walk-​in», there might not be someone available right away to help you, and they may call another staff member to come in… which is how we found Julie, so no complaints… but if you are strapped for time, definitely call to check about availability of staff. And if you can plan your schedule a little ahead, call and get an appointment with Julie, she is a sweetheart!

I bought a hair cut for this salon on Lifebooker. I planned on just getting a quick trim so figured why not try it. I booked the appointment with a woman over the phone and I assume the calls were forwarded as she said she was driving. My appt was for today (Monday) and yesterday was very ill. I went to the doctor and found out I had strep and bronchitis. I called the salon number bur nobody answered. This morning I woke up and called the salon again to let them know I was ill and wouldn’t be able to make it in. Again, nobody answered. I left a message and asked for a call back to reschedule. My appt was for 10:30 am and at 10:37 am I get a call from the girl I booked the appointment with asking if I had forgotten about my appointment this morning. I said no I hadn’t forgotten, I left a message saying I was sick and unable to make it. She rudely argued that she didn’t have any missed calls from me and that she didn’t have a message either. I said «well I called the salon, got a message that you guys were having high call volume, and then left a message stating I was not able to make it. Im very sick with strep and bronchitis» Her reply was, «well sorry then you’ve lost your coupon because you didn’t show up» I replied «I am sick with bronchitis and strep which is extremely contagious, do you really want me coming into your salon spreading those germs?» All she said was that she would «have to speak to her manager.» UNBELIEVABLE!
Now, let me break down what’s wrong with this salon.
1.) Forwarding calls to your cell phone doesn’t mean I am calling you personally. I called the 626 number which is the salon number to book and cancel my appointment. She called me from an 818 number. Im assuming she checked HER phone to see if she had missed calls.
2.) It is unprofessional to accuse a customer of lying if you haven’t checked the salon messages FIRST! Which Im assuming is what happened.
3.) When a customer says they are very ill (WITH A DOCTORS NOTE) and you still tell them you are at the salon waiting for them– YOU ARE UNPROFESSIONAL!
4.) To tell me I’ve lost my coupon value due to being sick– why on earth would I want to come to your salon after that?
I think this salon is extremely unprofessional and clearly hurting for clients if she is «sitting there waiting for me.»
The coupon was $ 10 and I was nervous to go to a salon for that cheap of a haircut but I thought what the heck, its just a trim” I think this was the universes way of telling me don’t do it! So glad I didn’t and don’t even care I lost $ 10!

Love Faccia. I have long, curly hair and I usually have trouble finding a good salon that is able to cut it the way I want. As a nice bonus, they also offer massages, manicures and pedicures. Kim is fantastic! I would recommend Faccia to anyone!

New place that promised me a makeover and that is what they did, Karen the hair stylist asked me if I could trust her (after seeing her beautiful hair I thought that she knows what she is doing) so I said why not?, she asked me a couple of questions about how comfortable i feel about colors and lenghts and thats all she needed to make me look. FABULOUS!
Carolina the makeup artist asked me a few questions as well and after seeing her wonderful makeup and my beautiful haircut, I told her that she can do whatever she thinks it’s good for me and the results were breathtaking I’ve never seen my self so beautiful. i’d hate for the first review of this new business to be unfavorable… but i can’t help it :(These ladies were very nice, but my hair just got massacred – and I’m hardly one who complains much about my hairstylists. Sure, if i didn’t really like a haircut, i may never go back, but i’ve never had such a bad experience. Maybe the lighting was bad and she couldn’t see that my left and right side look completely different? (note: i didn’t ask for an asymmetric cut) they *are* still setting up the salon, but they had A/​C, lighting, and mirrors. :P towards the end *after* she blow dried my hair, i even mentioned that the layers looked different on each side. i didn’t thoroughly examine it then, but the left side looked poofier and the ends seemed to flare out strangely while the right side just draped nicely down. however, she chalked it up to my hair just being different when it was wet versus dry and that she’d touch it up after it was dry. i had brought in pictures and had an A-​line bob for my previous haircut. I wanted a much longer A-​line this time. I was really surprised she didn’t even ask me the approximate length i wanted, so it seemed like the picture sufficed, especially since she mentioned how she’s been cutting hair for 10 – 12 years and worked on sets, etc before. so with all her waxing awesomeness, i just wanted to let her do her thing, since that has usually resulted in pretty fun haircuts for me in the past. utterly untrue. What did i get? i lost about 50% of my hair and received an A-​line even shorter than the last time i got my hair cut. The right side looks pretty cute with its layers, but the left side leaves MUCH to be desired. overall, it does have an A-​line. but what is with the extremely short chunks that you can see were literally cut in a horizontal line? that is Not layers, Deary. Nor does it have attitude. It’s not even emo. I could have gotten a FAR better cut at a supercuts. i guess i should have expected it. behaviorally, she seemed to have difficulty cutting my hair whenever she got to my left side (ie her positioning and tool manipulation looked awkward) *sigh* but i have fine, straight asian hair! how difficult can that be?!
plus, the package i got stated my appt would involve 1) shampoo, condition, h/​c, and blow dry, 2) color consultation, 3) $ 10 towards a conditioning treatment or waxing, and 4) complimentary beverage. I didn’t get shampooed or conditioned and was told the promotion was the same as a normal appointment, just without the shampoo. Grrrr. i didn’t really get a color consultation – i’m under the impression that if i hadn’t asked questions, they would’ve done jack. not that i needed one, but i wanted to test out what they would say and how they were going about the business of their promotional package. Similarly, the conditioning tx/​waxing wasn’t even mentioned or done. I was offered coffee. but it is BLAZING hot in LA right now, so i asked for cold water. the owner looked a little taken aback but said she had some and would get it. I never got my water. so in terms of the promotional package, the stylist obviously didn’t have a clue what was going on. sure, she gets kudos for not pushing products and services on me, but that seems to go against how i believe the whole idea of the appointment was for me to get an idea of the stylist’s capabilities.
some background info: I was approached at target to buy a promotional package that included 4 services (facial, hair cut, color, makeup) for about less than the price of the average cost of one of those services. I don’t know what their usual prices are because, honestly, i realized maybe i shouldn’t have paid for such an awesome deal in a target parking garage only to find out these guys are utterly un-​google-​able when i got home. i thought i was scammed. but 1 month later (the promotion is good for 5 months), i tried to go there in person (since their phone line was disconnected!!!) and established that they were legit… just not quite open yet. since you can only make an appointment for one of the services in the package at a time, i went for the haircut since i was in dear need of one. Plus, i first judge whether i return to salons first on the quality of their haircuts, then their coloring services, and finally the quality of their facials. hopefully, it was just a fluke with her and she was having a bad day. but if i *ever* return for a haircut – as nice as she may be – i will avoid her! unfortunately, i forgot her name. :(i’ll find out at one of my subsequent appointments for the remainder of the promotional package, which will hopefully have better results.
