We have been working with Alan Ip for all of our insurance needs for a number of years now, everything from auto to renters to homeowners. Alan is very responsive over email as well as phone. This works out really well as we live in Northern California. He patiently answers any questions that we have. He is very detail oriented. For example, one of our policies had a payment discrepancy. He followed up with the insurance carrier and quickly got the issue resolved. He consistently follows through on what he said he would do. Last but not least, he has earned our trust. He is not salesy. He listens to understand what our needs are and comes back with the information we ask for. When we know exactly what kind of coverage we want, he works quickly to get quotes from multiple carriers. He has consistently been able to beat my own comparison shopping with other insurers like GEICO, AAA, Costco Ameriprise, State Farm, etc. When we are not sure what we need, he happily talks us through different options and types of coverage. We look forward to continuing to work with Alan for many more years!

My husband and I switched to FIA a year ago and we couldn’t be happier! Our representative, Brandon is very attentive, honest and always looking for our best interest.
I was in a minor fender bender where the other car was already damaged (as in taped together by packaging tape). I did not hear anything from the insurance company thinking everything was settled and the damage was too small for it to affect my rates/​points. I found out months later that the damage paid was close to $ 800 (IMPOSSIBLE! I was going 3 mi/​hr) and the amount was enough to put a point on my record.
I immediately contacted Brandon who took over the case from there. He spoke to the insurance company on my behalf, and was able to make sure that I would not get a point for that incident.
Later my husband accidentally increased his annual mileage estimate and when we asked about our increased renewal rate, Brandon once again talked to the insurance company to find the issue and solve it. Our renewal for this year is lower than last year!
Some folks say going through an insurance broker is not a good idea.
My husband and I have hopped around auto-​insurance companies for a few years and going through FIA Insurance has been the best decision for us.
