These guys are great… I had to get a key made for my Ducati motorcycle because I broke the tip on my key… Nick was great very helpful… Got two keys cut there and they gave me a good discount and fast service… I would recommend these guys, they know what they are doing and they don’t price gouge!

Our front door had been hard to open for a while and I broke off the key trying to open the lock. I called on. Thursday afternoon and asked for an appointment on Friday morning. The gentleman on the on the phone was very friendly.
The locksmith was right on time and quickly removed the key and lubricated the lock. It made me wonder if I could have done it myself, but it is one of those things that if you know how to do it is easy and if you don’t it takes a whole afternoon to do. He me some tips about the doorset and polishing it up if we got a new door.
I would call them again.

Needed some cabinet keys made. Went to 4 different key makers /​locksmiths including Home Depot before coming here. They were all either out of my key blank, or didn’t stock it. (It is a National cabinet lock which is pretty common). Nothing special. I was in and out of Foothill lock and key in about 5 minutes. In addition the price was reasonable. Quick & friendly service. I wish I had come here first! I think I spent more on gas than my keys.

Al was super friendly, professional and provided lots of information about options (with no pressure to buy anything more than what I requested).
He rekeyed three locks in a short period of time, and offered me a deal if I ever want to upgrade my locks in the future and have them keyed to match my existing locks.

I needed a key made so l found the closest locksmith to my home. I should’ve found another locksmith who doesn’t charge $ 15 for a standard metal key! And I was given a «discount» of $ 10! He wanted to charge me to look up the key code for my vehicle but I already had it from my first encounter with this «business» when he charged me $ 35 for that visit… needless to say…

Very nice and professional over the phone. My wife got stuck when she locked her keys in the car and another service made her wait and tried to charge over $ 200! So I called Foothill (because of all the great Unilocal reviews) and the guy got there in 10 mins was VERY professional and kind and took GREAT care of us! If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

I have used Foothill Lock and Key on several occasions. They’re knowledgeable, prompt, courteous, and charge a fair price. I have used other locksmiths in the past who were nowhere near as good.

Needed to have a few duplicate keys cut in a hurry. Went on Unilocal and came across Foothill Lock & Key. I’ll keep my review short but the gentleman who assisted me was extremely professional and courteous. I was in and out in five minutes and ALL of the duplicates worked flawlessly. Based on my experience at Foothill Lock and Key, I would do business with FL&K and I would recommend their service to people looking for a solid key maker.

I’ve waited five months to write this review because I honestly didn’t know how to respond to my experience with the Foothill Lock & Key team. I think I can now write somewhat objectively about their services. I’m on our condo homeowners association board so I’d used Foothill Lock to successfully make many keys for the facility. Then I paid them in June 2015 to install the high-​end door knobs my wife purchased for our condo. We eventually got all the parts right with our supplier, Snyder Diamond, and the five exterior door knobs were installed. I inspected them before letting the installer go. I had to ask him to move one of the new door knobs on our French doors about a half inch up so it would match the level of the new door knob he had just installed on the French door right next to it, about two inches away. Then a day or two after the ordeal was all over, my wife noticed an opening in the door right next to one of the new door knob cover plates. The plate for the knob did not fully cover the large hole the installer drilled. I called Foothill yet again, maybe three times, to get someone to come out and look at it. A different technician than the installer came over one day, looked at the door knob with the gap beside the plate, said it was installed incorrectly, and he left.
I don’t consider a proclamation of improper installation to be satisfactory service. It had taken so much energy to get this far, I chose to be thankful that one of their staff acknowledged there was a problem. I was not willing to continue to spend emotional energy into enticing them to actually fix the problem they created.
My experience with Foothill Lock & Key leads me to believe that their door knob installation craftsmanship and decision making skills are deficient. They can copy your keys well.

The middle eastern guy here is a douche bag. I was referred here to program a second key fob for my car. The guy wanted to charge 65. After I got there he told me that the fob I wanted to program was dead and he wanted 10 dollars for the battery. I objected saying it only cots 2 – 3 dollars at the store. He then replied well I charge 6 dollars for the battery and 4 dollars to put it in. Is this guy serious, it’s something I could do with my eyes closed?! Long story short, apparently the key fob doesn’t work for my car but he asked to charge me 25dollars for the use of his equipment. After some argument he gave up on charging me.
If he wasn’t such a double bag I would go back and get it done after I purchase a new fob. But now he’s earned this review and lost my business.

I freaked out when I locked out out my boyfriend and I. I called and they were able to schedule an after-​hours appointment to open my door for me.
It probably took less than 20 minutes. These kind of accidents aren’t cheap, but he knew what he was doing and I’m glad it was done without breaking my door down.

I thought these guys were great. I locked myself out on a Saturday morning and found them on the internet. Called them up, and they were over in less than 30 minutes. They took one look at my door, got out their tools, and in about 5 minutes had unlocked my door. I paid $ 65, which seemed reasonable. Heck I didn’t go to locksmith school and I don’t know how to pick a lock or have those tools. So for that, and the fact that I only lost about an hour out of my schedule, it was well worth it. Friendly, reasonable service, they get the job done!
