I love the guys at J&G. They have a fantastic work ethic, and they are honest. Two incredibly valuable commodities in any business. Particularly so, in the autocare industry. They are family oriented, and they actually care about people’s safety behind the wheel of a car. I appreciate their professionalism.

Would love to give 0 stars. Treated me like an idiot because I’m a girl and disrespected me and what I want done to my car. Very rude and unprofessional.

Have been coming to these guys off and on for over 4 years. They’ve always been professional, and trust worthy.
Called them this morning to have a look at the wife’s car. Needed to replace a headlight and check on the rear brake pads (which we’d been told by another mechanic needed replacement soon). It got looked into immediately, at a very fair price.

This past Saturday, around noon, I tried to leave my workplace but realized my car wasn’t turning on. I feared the worst (the car was making no noise when I tried to turn it on) and called J&G to let them know that I’d probably be towing the car there. Jack told me not to pay the $ 60 it would cost to tow it and actually sent one of the workers (Troy) out to check it out. Turns out, a defective battery was the problem. Troy started my car up at my work’s parking lot and the shop stayed open until they got the replacement battery and installed it (they had to order it as it wasn’t in stock and insisted that they fix the issue that day even though I was willing to leave my car there over the weekend). As always, I can’t recommend the shop enough.

A shop up the street couldn’t help so I was referred here. Alex was a great help and these are honest guys. He was straightforward with me and told me he wouldn’t do a repair that he was unsure about. Super helpful, good work.

Although I didn’t get any service done to my car, I would like to say thank you to Troy for being really helpful & professional. This auto repair shop is really out to help their customers because they could’ve easily took my money but instead they looked out for me. I do not live in Pasadena nor knew about the shop, but I was referred by another auto repair shop in the area and for J & G to be straight up with me really says that they aren’t like most mechanic shops who are greedy. Thank you once again.

Almost had a blow-​out on the freeway due to tire wear caused by wheels out of alignment. J & G was recommended to me. They jumped right in, showed me what was wrong, what needed to be attended to, what didn’t — and I was on the road again (safely) in about 20 minutes. Based on this first experience, I give them very high marks.

I brought my ancient Acura MDX here for a serious steering problem (it quit working) the Tuesday morning after Labor Day. The guys got right to work on my car and had it back to me by Wednesday evening. The whole rack & pinion assembly had to be replaced (how I even got the car there is, perhaps, an act of G-​d) and the alignment set. They did this on one of the hottest days of the year — the temps were in excess of 100 degrees. I’m a happy camper and a new loyal customer.
My case was an emergency, but it would be good for you to call ahead for an appointment.

Jack always looks out for me. As a woman I don’t always feel as confident when I walk into a auto repair shop. But whether it’s my oil changes, brakes and most recently a water pump and timing belt J & G delivers the BEST service with the reasonable prices.

Came here the first time to get a muffler put on. Quoted me for $ 80, but only had $ 60 in cash, so he took it and called us even. Came back because I heard a clicking noise in my other car. They diagnosed it super quick and told me what I needed to get it fixed. Charged me for the diagnosis this time though, but that’s fine. In general, they seemed genuinely interested in helping me out and that means a lot to me as far as businesses are concerned.

THANK YOU TROY AND ALEX! We were lucky enough to have serious car trouble near A & G on Walnut in Pasadena. They were kind enough to diagnose the problem – and sent us on our way in the tow truck. SO KIND AND GENEROUS! SO HELPFUL!

When it comes to car repair and maintenance there are very few times in life that one can find a business that is as honest and caring towards their customers as the crew at J&G. Ramsey and George are are masters of car repair and their entire team including Alex and Troy are the only people that I would feel comfortable to leave my car with. After the dealership over charged me for replacing an alternator on my Dodge Challenger the car still overheated. learning from my mistakes, I took my car to J&G. Even thought it was very late in the day, the whole team worked hard to get my car fixed and now it’s just like new. This is the only place I’ll go to for repairs and maintenance from now on, they do it all from tires to engine work. These guys are truly a blessing. Thank you!

It’s hard to find a good mechanic and especially being a young, single female you always wonder if someone is trying to rip you off. Not these guys! They take such great care of me and my trusty ’97 Saturn. I’ll never take my car anywhere else.

Well that was easy.
Despite arriving in the middle of everybody’s lunch break J&G diagnosed my problem, happened to have the parts on hand and fixed it while I stood around fiddling with my phone. Charged me less than it would have cost to buy the parts myself, that included the service.
No complaints here. Thanks guys!

I am off to a happy start this morning. I was quoted by Discount Tire Center to have my rear brakes and rotor/​drums replaced. I couldn’t afford it at the time but today I am ready to go.
I stopped at J & G first cause they have good reviews and also to see if they could give me a better price than Discount Tire Center. They told me the rotor/​drum are fine and could be resurfaced not replaced. Also, the brake shoes still had another year before they needed replacing. So, with the cost of parts, J & G saved me from spending over $ 300 that I didn’t need to.
I also went in because my check engine light went on. Of course, I thought the worst. This light doesn’t go on unless there is a possible major problem. They ran a diagnostic and found the problem was my gas cap was not giving a tight seal and was possibly letting fumes escape. The gas cap!!! Can you believe it. I know if I took my car some place else I would be racking a huge repair bill.
This is the most honest place I have ever found. I would almost be willing to drive across the country to go to a mechanic like this one.

Was referred by Hrant Auto Service to J & G for a «check engine light» issue that turned out to be an issue with the O2 sensor. Dropped off my car at 8:00 last Saturday and it was ready by 10:30. I live right down the block so it was super convenient.
The owner Ramzi was polite and affable. Will definitely bring my car back here in the future.

I don’t think my car has ever sounded this good (by which I mean quiet).
I was referred by Hrant to J&G because of a problem with my catalytic converter. Troy was very friendly and helpful, and when I got my car back and it was still making the same awful sound, which turned out to be coming from my muffler, he replaced it immediately at no charge (which was nice considering how much a stupid catalytic converter costs). I would definitely recommend these folks.

I was referred to Ramzi @ J & G by Hrant Auto Service to have a used car checked over that I was considering buying. It only cost $ 40 and I got an accurate picture of several things that should be replaced.
I am several hundred miles away and they took my CC info and faxed the report to me with in a few hours of the inspection. Worked very well, thank you!
