Seriously, you are better off going elsewhere. I went in for a $ 24.99 smog check in November 2014. This place (John) told me I failed smog test and told me the fuel line was leaking at firewall connection. They said I could redo the test for free only if I repaired the car with them.
I had my own master mechanic look at my car and he said he saw no leak whatsoever. I took it to another Star station (Arco station i and asked the mechanic’s opinion. He and his coworker both said there was no leak and suggested I make the place redo my test because there was no reason it shouldn’t pass.
I googled a pass or don’t pay station and I took my car somewhere else the next morning. He inspected the car, ran his test and I was out of there with a passed smog check. I’ll have to remember to only go to Test Only places from now on.
I went back to K&S and told them and the owner insisted I had a leak, but wasn’t willing to show me when I suggested it. Instead he was accusing the place that did my smog check of not being legit. Hands caught in the cookie jar & now they are trying to get others in trouble! I had 3 different places-​4 different mechanics look at it and not one found a leak.
He made a comment about finding a real mechanic instead, but my mechanic has 30+ years of experience. He is a master at his trade!
He also tried to use scare tactics saying I was in danger of my car catching on fire and that it was a very common problem with my kind of car (ptcruiser). I called chrysler’s service center and spoke to a technician there who said that was not true.
The owner refused to refund me on the spot saying 24 hours had passed, but that wasn’t true either since it had only been 20 hours since the charge. he said he would mail me a refund. I don’t understand why he couldn’t refund me then and there.
It is now May 2015 and my car is working just fine. I had forgotten to publish this review but it’s never too late to warn you of places like this. go there at your own risk. You’ve been warned!

Helpful staff. They have a really nice attitude. I went for an oil change and smog check.
The owner of the workshop was nice enough to give me a good price on the smog and oil check. But he charged me almost $ 17.5 that includes the price of bulb (approx $ 5.75)for a simple bulb change in my brake light so at the end the price was almost what he was asking in the beginning.
My suggestion for a small maintenance like changing a bulb etc., will be to go and buy it from the O’Reilly store in front and do it by yourself. You can get the instructions from YouTube :)
It’s also a gas station but the price of gas is above average. But the location is pretty good as it’s close to the exit for 210

I got gas at K & S Mobile Service Station on Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena, CA on 5÷15÷2014. It was my 2^nd time there. I got the 91 octane gas for my 1991 Dodge Stealth. It was $ 4.59 per gallon that day. That was a lot higher than in January ($ 3.99).

that is the bait. then comes the switch.
«that price is for the regular sized vehicles. you have a large vehicle so it’s going to cost $ 5 more».
i have a 4 cylinder engine car.
i thought he was going to say «i kid you!»… but he didn’t.
OH WELL, THE REST OF THE SHOPS IN TOWN ARE THE SAME PRICE OR HIGHER SO IT WASN’T LIKE I WAS TOTALLY SCREWED ON THE TEST.

this place is the worlds worst place you should take your car for service. They ripped off my 65 year old mother claiming that they were unable to pass her car for a simple smog check. they charged her over $ 300 for BS repairs they claimed it was needed before it can pass the smog test. After confronted about their BS fees. the excuse was it was to late for that & that work (manpower) was already used spent on the car. IF YOU HAVE MONEY TO THROW AWAY. then by all means this is the place you should take your car for repair. their gas is usually 15 – 25 cents more expensive than other stations around it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RIP-​OFF PLACE !!! if they had a negative option star for rating on Unilocal this place deserves a negative 10!!!

Been going to this gas station since the day I started driving… yikes! That’s a long time! I love this place because it’s super convenient and the staff is always very friendly and helpful! The snack shop is quaint and has just enough stuff to satisfy your needs without confusing you and making your trip much longer than needed! I have stopped by so many times to have the mechanics check the air in my tires before I make a long driving trip or when I think there may be a nail in my tire. They are always so nice and willing to check everything to make sure I’m safe. They are also very honest and will tell me when I need to replace a tire due to the nail being too close to the edge or when I can just patch it up and everything will be fine! I really appreciate that they don’t just tell me I need a new tire just because I’m a girl and probably wouldn’t know the difference! Love coming here for my gas, especially since I’ve noticed their prices tend to be less than competitors around them!

. In that website you can compare prices with all smog test centers in your area. And the website said this was a $ 24.95 smog test place (CA Certificate Extra). So I called and it is $ 34.95 total which is still and AMAZING deal.
Got here today, and there was only one mechanic working. He welcomed me and said he would be right with me once he was done with the car he was working on now. Then he promptly took my car in and did the smog test. And as I was waiting for him to finish, several customers were coming for oil changes or somg checks.
Overall good place with good customer service. Expect to pay $ 34.95 (most cars) which is really cheap. Especially since these guys are STAR CERTIFIED.

Despite a BIG sign out front and a coupon in hand for a $ 24.95 smog check, these guys refused to honor that price, and charged me $ 34.95 because it was the car’s «first» smog check and there was «a lot of data entry» to be done.
That said, they were very fast and convenient. Will I come back or recommend? Eh, maybe, but don’t necessarily get lured by their «specials.»

Great service at an inexpensive price. I will continue to recommend this place for smog checks. I have a 4runner and they got it passed with to extra charges. I went here for a smog check and got great service. The guy that did the work was fast and friendly. I was so happy with the service I received, I suggested it to a co-​worker and she went after work and received the same great service. I will continue to recommend this place to others in the San Gabriel Valley.

Moderately priced gas for a Mobil compared to the next one around the block. Privately owned, small convenient area with water and gum. Clean restroom. Working pump stations. A-​OK… In and Out.
